After parking on the mountain, you walk down a flight of stairs to the guesthouse, which has a slightly rustic, garden-like feel at the entrance. You need to climb up to the rooms; there are three floors in total, but no stairs. We stayed in the innermost room on the third floor. The room was large, very clean, and fully equipped. The heating was incredibly powerful (it really dries clothes!), there was a separate shower and toilet, and mosquito repellent was provided. The screens were very tight, so there were practically no mosquitoes in the room (and if there were, they weren't very smart). There was also a live TV. The river view from the window was absolutely stunning! This view was definitely worth the climb up and down. You can see the ancient town and the river; in the morning mist and rain, it's perfect for sitting and enjoying tea. We even considered staying another day, but we had to get going in the end, hehe.

The package is particularly user-friendly, free parking and self-driving with the baby is convenient, the laundry room drys clothes, and the children's dirty clothes can be dried on the same day. The breakfast buffet tastes light, porridge, pasta, fruit are complete, and children love to eat. The front desk staff was very caring and took the initiative to inform the scenic route and a good place to eat around. In the evening, I watched the night view of the ancient city of Zhangzhou by the window. The elderly and children liked it very much. It was clean and odorless. I lived in peace of mind and relaxed throughout the whole process. The preferred hotel for parent-child travel!

A trip to Chongqing is incomplete without a stay at Gongtan Ancient Town's Bashi Inn which is located at the bank of the calm Wujiang River facing the forested mountain. The Inn is conveniently situated opposite the Wujiang Cruise Centre. We had 2 blissful nights and adore the scenic view from our balcony. The room is clean and very comfortable. Our host, Ms Ran Ran, is a very warm and helpful person who had gone the extra mile to make our stay enjoyable. She helped arrange all our transportation needs: arriving from Pengshui and departure from Gongtan.

I forgot to take a picture of the room. It is simple and clean, with a rustic feel. The floor creaks occasionally, which is very special. The river view is really comfortable. It is suitable for sitting on the small balcony and doing nothing. At night, the night watchman will shout ”Be careful of the candles” from outside.
