Lauren was amazing - found us a room that we could check into around 7am when our flight was cancelled a couple of hours earlier. Lauren even printed our new boarding passes for us. Lovely staff member. Room was small but fine, no extra pillows were available though. Bathroom shower was lovely - very powerful :) Air con said 18 degrees but I’m not sure it was quite that cool. Location is excellent and great value for money. Again, kudos to Lauren! Remember - no restaurant on site but PLENTY of options on the doorstep!

On arrival very small car park luckily one parking space left, Outside looks very run down, I was initially pleasantly surprised when walking in, the lobby looked very clean and tidy around the reception desk, until we saw the beer all over the floor and dirty cups on tables from the free coffee (we’ll get to the bit) There was a large group of “stag” goers ahead of us, who clearly hadn’t booked rooms as they were trying to work out what rooms were available, there was one lady trying her best to sort the group out with 3 other staff watching her, we waited for around 10mins Until an exasperated look from a party member towards who looked like the manager prompted him to use the hand held device to book us in, A key card was given …. No directions to my room, no info on breakfast times, no other info at all …. Just crack on …. I walked through the mini Lake District of beer to the lift, swiped my card and waited 2-3 mins …. The screen wasn’t working and the lift didn’t come so I used the stairs to the 4th floor, Found my “room” when I walked in it’s tiny, budget is the word, this was beyond budget, not even a mini kettle, the sink is in the room as is the shower, with a separate toilet cubicle, the frosted glass on the shower is made more so by the build up of lime Scale and watermarks no handle just a hole to use, this is ok as I’m alone but the other party had a 14yr old lad in a “family” room so not really acceptable in my eyes, the cubical was VERY small, my friend could barley get in, at 110kg but a power lifter he’s broad but not “huge” I’m 6ft 1 wear a large t-shirt and found it hard to shower In it. The room are run down, probably nice a few years ago (has wood chip wallpaper) . The skirting is coming away scuff marks every where, dust on the very small archaic tv, the air con unit didn’t work and the toilet rolls Sat on the floor behind the cistern (despite there being a hook to put them on) There was a “stool” that looked like an upturned washing bin, to a small desk I could only find 2 plugs I know the whole Room, couldn’t charge my watch/phone and iPad over night, (yes small Inconvenience but still annoying) The tv wouldn’t get a picture, I went to the front desk but no one was there, I bumped into the night porter earlier who seemed very friendly though so I’m guessing he was busy elsewhere. So I thought “ooh I’ll grab a coffee while I’m here”, small sachets of Nescafé original and plastic milk, I’ll pass thanks, Bed basic and comfy enough, not like Home but I suppose it is a budget hotel, The breakfast looked dire, continental for £6.50, I’ll hit the coop over the road or McDonald’s on the way home, All for an extortionate £140, there was an event on close by and this may have bumped the price a little but by 90£ on the base rate of £52 is crazy greed Needless to say I shall not be staying in one again, I Hope the normal ibis I have booked next month is better

I stayed in hotel indigo on the 5th - 7 th October and my stay was absolutely awful I stayed with my family and we was put into 2 different rooms on completely different floors my room was on 5th floor and my family members was on 1st floor, Each room was absolutely vile, clannishness of the rooms was absolutely disgusting, dust everywhere, my shower and room wasn’t cleaned to the standards it should of been cleaned to as a guest who’s staying. They didn’t empty the bins, they didn’t even clean the sink left all my tooth paste. Anyway back to the clannishness of the room, the head board to the bed was so dusty I could pick it off myself with my fingers and there was little hairs in my shower and first I thought I’d leave it until it got worse and I started to look around the room few days later now I’ve stayed in another hotel and realised actually how bad the cleansing actually is at hotel indigo so now I’ve decided to actually report it, im not one to moan at reception it’s something I’d personally keep to myself but I’ve realised how bad this hotel actually is though I’d leave a little review. I will attach photos that I did take.

Lovely apartment with everything you need for a comfortable stay in Cardiff. Friendly staff and only 5 minutes from the city centre.

Just got back from a golf and spa weekend as a group of 6. Reception service really good. Room was lovely. Bed was a bit hard for me but partner liked it (personal preference). The men had golf included and us women had the spa included. As far as I know, the lads enjoyed the golf course- preferred the PGA course over the Lake course. They did say it is a long walk especially if you’re older and less able- I would recommend buggies! The spa was lovely, provided with robes, slippers and a towel. We had a 50 min treatment included. I had the facial and back massage which was really relaxing! Bar service was brilliant. Drinks not too pricey unless you want cocktails. On to our 3 course evening meal we had included. You have a set menu if your 3 course meal is included in your package. Fair few things to choose from. The food was lovely- we had the steak which was really good and all cooked to our liking. Cannot fault the food at all, however, the service- although really friendly, it was extremely slow. Our table was at 8.30 and we didn’t leave the restaurant till gone 11.30, this wasn’t down to sitting talking- this was from waiting between each course. We were all so stuffed and as you can imagine wasn’t too pleased eating such a huge meal so late. We had breakfast in the morning which was buffet. The breakfast was spot on, help yourself to full cooked breakfast or continental (yogurts, cereals, pastries)- all yummy. The man who came round offering tea or coffee was really efficient and friendly. You can also help yourself to a selection of juices. Our second day although we weren’t allowed to go in the spa which we initially thought we had included, we could use the leisure facilities (wet facilities) including the pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room. We were able to shower after as you get given a towel. Overall we all really enjoyed our weekend!

We stayed at the Hilton Cardiff for four days at the end of March 2023. We really enjoyed our stay! The people at reception made us feel very welcomed, and couldn’t have been nicer! ALL of the people who work here were extremely friendly and helpful. We wanted to give a special thank you to Mark, the night manager. He was always cheerful - at the beginning AND at the end of his shift in the morning, which is not easy! He even kindly got us a bucket of ice very early one morning when my wife hurt her knee as she was stepping out of bed and the bed rolled away from her. We spoke to Mark about the incident, and hopefully, by now, they have fixed the “rolling coasters with no brakes on the box springs” problem. Mark was so kind and concerned about her fall that he checked on her twice - right after the incident and even the next day, which was the last day of our stay. The breakfast buffet had an excellent variety of hot and cold food offerings and was maintained to perfection by the attentive and efficient staff! The buffet was hosted by Bassam, who was very personable and interesting to talk with. The executive lounge was lovely, with beverages and a few snacks available throughout the day. There is an evening manager’s reception and some savory finger foods were offered each night. Our room had a stunning view of Cardiff Castle and the castle grounds! We would happily return to Hilton Cardiff, and we thank them for making our stay really memorable and pleasant. As a side note, we took the Cardiff Castle Ghost Tour and highly recommend it! It’s great to be able to tour the castle at night, and the two hosts were full of fun facts and historical information about the beautiful and “over the top” decor of the castle!

It is a traditional hotel, very good value for money. It is a few minutes walk to the Queen Street pedestrian street, Bute Park, and the city hall. The front desk clerk is white. In addition, you can take the T4 at the entrance of the hotel in the Brecon Beacons National Park. The journey is more than one hour, and the round-trip fare is 8 pounds.

Just returned from a 3 night stay, was in Cardiff for a family wedding. Have to say the staff were friendly, informative and very accommodating. Wedding was on Friday and the maltsters arms very kindly allowed us to have dinner with them on Saturday night, there was 18 of us!!! Hats off to the chef and kitchen staff for the most amazing food, from starters to desserts and delicious drinks and cocktails 5 stars. We would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. The manager sorry can’t remember your name, was friendly and helpful. Lastly to Ben for his hospitality and professionalism in helping to book us all in on Saturday night, it was a wonderful ending to all of our trip to beautiful Cardiff. I booked for a one night stay with nine family members the night before a funeral. All our rooms were lovely, ( my cousins room smelled of smoke but they changed her room quickly , quite late in the evening too, so no complaints there ) . My Aunt needed a wheelchair accessible room and again no problems. My room was a large double with a sofa, it would have slept four but I had it to myself, it cost the same as a single so why not have extra space. It had great air con, a good quality tv, tea and coffee making facilities, a lovely shower room ( clever design ) , a hair drier, everything you’d need and expect for a reasonably priced chain hotel. Free parking and plenty of it ( do not forget to put your reg into the iPad at reception ) . The free breakfast was great, buffet style with bacon, eggs, sausage, toast, croissants, cereal, yogurt and fruit. The only downside was it’s out of the town the only place in walking distance is the pub next door, however the pub next door is fantastic, with beautiful food which I thought was very reasonable considering the excellent quality. The hotel also serves food and has a bar. To summarise it’s a great hotel, with great facilities, I paid £99 through bookings.com , others in our party paid less and some more, between £97 a room to £125 , but we all got value for money.

Very good location and everything very good for its price. The only bad thing is that you can't leave your suitcases at the accommodation if you arrive before or leave after.
