Treasure Beach Art Hotel, Barbados, An Autograph Collection All-Inclusive Resort ★★★★

"We have been to Barbados many times before. This time we stayed at the lovely Treasure Beach Art hotel on the west coast. I believe it had around 35 rooms which made it more cosy than the larger hotels. Although we had originally booked to stay at Waves Hotel on Prospect Bay in a ocean front room, just over a mile away from Treasure Beach, we were told within less than 48 hours of leaving, that we couldn’t stay at Waves as they were renovating the building. They offered us Treasure Beach hotel. Although we were extremely disappointed to be told this at very short notice, when found that Treasure Beach hotel was actually very enjoyable. Getting around the island is easy. A few times we went on the buses which are super cheap. We also hired a car from Ballantyne Rentals who we would highly recommend. The food at the hotel was so amazing and healthy. The only bad thing about it was that I put weight because it was so nice (ok, that’s my fault). They did have a gym there, however it was pretty basic. Every single member of staff at the hotel were great and they helped make our holiday even better. A few names I remember are Sophia, Sasha, Shauna, Kerryanne, Sabrina x 2, Raheem, Tiffany and many more. Sorry I can’t remember all of their names, every single one of them was so nice, kind and hard working! The rooms were nice and well cleaned, the receptionists were super helpful, the restaurant, kitchen and bar staff were so efficient, welcoming and genuinely friendly. The pool was lovely and clean every day, with sun beds around it and also on a section facing the beach. Access to the beach was not always easy, so may not be ideal for beach lovers who are disabled. Although there were no sun beds on the beach itself, the hotel is right on the sea so we could go for a swim and then straight back to the pool area. The sea there is amazingly clear and warm. There were a few stones where the waves landed on the shore so if you’re sensitive you may wish to take water shoes there. We visited Waves hotel (where we had originally booked to stay), and they also have access to the beach with sun beds. However to get from the beach to the pool area it meant going through the beach side of the hotel and crossing the road to their other building with the pool area. It’s a bit different. The hotel has well maintained gardens with beautiful trees, plants and some small friendly birds everywhere around making it so relaxing. We went in the rainy season so a few days were pretty wet. Most days however were lovely and warm with occasional short showers. It's definitely worth a stay there!"

"Τι υπέροχο μέρος!!!! Καθώς πλησιάζετε στο ρεπό σας συναντάτε με τις λέξεις “Καλώς ήρθατε στο σπίτι μας” Πόσο σωστά είναι.... Ταξιδεύουμε σε ολόκληρο τον κόσμο και δεν έχουμε μείνει ποτέ σε ένα ξενοδοχείο τόσο απίστευτο!!! Όλοι είναι πανέξυπνοι και ο τρόπος που μας φρόντισαν ήταν φανταστικός. Κοιτάξαμε από το βεράντα με ένα τεμπέλητο κρεβάτι, ένα τραπέζι και καρέκλες σε μια υπέροχη πισίνα και άλλα 30 μέτρα που ήσασταν στον ωκεανό... το φαγητό... πολύ απλά πέρα από οτιδήποτε επιθυμείτε... και ειδικά το προσωπικό, πάντα κάνει τα γεύματα μας τόσο χαλαρά. Χρησιμοποιήσαμε το σκάφος που ταξιδεύει μεταξύ της ομάδας των ξενοδοχείων που μπορείτε να χρησιμοποιήσετε όλες τις εγκαταστάσεις και ήταν ένας υπέροχος τρόπος να περάσετε τις τεμπέλης μέρες."

"I have recently returned from staying at Shades Holiday Apartments in the Parish of St. James Barbados alongside my Partner, Sister & our Life Long Friend. We came to Barbados to Celebrate our dear friends 60th Birthday Celebrations. Well after searching for somewhere for us to stay all that I can say, "Is that we're so glad, & overwhelmed " that we chose to stay at Shades it was a stay that was home from home. The apartment was clean, spacious & had all the facilities required to make us feel comfortable. The grounds are beautiful & well kept, there is a swimming pool, loungers & an area to relax with table & chairs provided, washing room facilities. This family run business is second to none Rochelle is the most amazing host who greeted us & showed us around explaining everything & absolutely nothing was too much for Rochelle always on hand if needed, fom Taxi service where to go etc & ALWAYS checking in to see if we were OK & if we needed again. Getting around no problem just a walk down the road to get the local bus to Holetown, Bridgetown, Rochelle Can also provide a link if you wish to shop before arrival at Massy Supermarket, & once again feeling so comfortable amongst the friendly local people. Paynes Bay beach is a short walk away from the Apartments if you want sea & sand. We cannot fault anything about our 7 nights.
