"Wow! I was impressed. I have felt that the “Comfort Inns” have been a little lacking in the past few years regarding cleanliness, lighting, breakfast, etc. as a matter of fact, even though I was a “choice member” I avoided staying at a Comfort Inn. I had no choice and had to stay at one in a different location a couple weeks ago and it only confirmed my thoughts, “don’t stay there”. However, this one at Vail/Beaver Creek was quite different. It was clean, lighting was bright, even had hot soup and hot cocoa in the late afternoon waiting when we got back from a fun, cold day of skiing! I liked it so much that I actually recommended this particular Comfort Inn to others."

"Book somewhere else. It’s old and gross and the rudest hotel staff I’ve ever encountered. I am a travel agent and have booked thousands of trips for my clients all over the world and I can honestly say I’ve never been treated with more disrespect. The staff is toxic. And the property is old and smelly and not worth your money. Details to follow… We pulled in and there was a huge line for valet we couldn’t even get in the driveway. There was one worker working valet and he was quite overwhelmed. We went to check in and the credit card processor was broken so check in took about 25 minutes (on top of waiting 20 minutes for valet). We found out the pool was closed (on a holiday weekend!) and being repainted. Instead of getting champagne at entry we got bottles of water (there’s really no wow factor here). The gym is small and unimpressive. The rooms have a horrible old musty smell and there’s windows from every room into the hallways which is odd. The bathroom vanity has absolutely no space to store anything. The lock entry to our room was fussy - took me 3 minutes to get in. They took away the water refill station in the lobby (although I only saw it empty anyway) and charge $5 for water in the room. We asked to leave because the pool was closed and not advertised, to which they agreed to let us leave without penalty multiple times. But then alas they charged us a penalty and are refusing to take it off the card. So that penalty is $350 approximately and now I hope they lose thousands in business for it. Overall I am so confused why the reviews for this place are so high. They must be paying people to write them. I would not recommend a visit to anyone and will certainly never book my clients here. Go to the Park Hyatt down the street - MUCH nicer and they have very kind staff."

"The streamside Evergreen at Vail was very comfortable, with a full kitchen and bedrooms. Our room had stacked washer and dryer. Also, it was conveniently located near Beaver Creek and West Vail. The concierge was expecially helpful with suggestions for hiking. The only negative point - we couldn't see the nearby creek from our room. However, we could see it when we went to the outdoor pool. Lovely place!"
