"The best decor for a hotel I have ever seen. It is quirky, and the room is very well laid out. The bathroom section was the best I have come across. I love the big windows and full blinds. There's a nice table and chairs to relax in. Room was clean and they were not shy with coffee and toiletry amenities. The staff are super friendly. I also love the little baggage wagons strategically placed on every floor. It was winter but I will be back to use the full length swimming pool in the summer!"

"A good lodge, a solid C-star. Large grounds, a pool (cold), a small gym, a bar, and a restaurant. The rooms are spacious, the beds are comfortable, and there were no mosquitoes in May. Breakfasts are decent, but you have to ask for coffee every time. Drinks are generally scarce. Cons: It's hard to hear (the doors are thin, not the walls). They periodically forget to change the water (they bring it upon request). P.S. The steaks in the restaurant are terrible. Safaris from the park can be booked through the park office (cheaper, but the cars and groups are the same). Private safaris from the lodge are good. Cons:"

Leopard Sands, Kruger Park

"Our stay at Leopard Sands was exceptional. As an all-inclusive resort, it offers a seamless experience across its 18 exclusive suites, which are beautifully appointed with high-quality African wooden furniture, traditional thatched roofs, and private terrace jacuzzis. The lodge grounds are incredibly tranquil, and the terrace provided a wonderful, quiet vantage point for watching monkeys, hippos, and elephants occasionally passing by. That proximity to nature is a perfect preview of the top-notch safari experience, which is the primary reason most people visit. The twice-daily safaris (3–4 hours each) are included in the price (Please note: Kruger National Park admission fees are not included and are added to the final bill). Between the expertise of the guides and the incredible sightings, it is worth every penny. The quality extends to the dining as well; the food throughout our stay was of superb quality with a variety of dishes. A particular highlight was being entertained by a local traditional dancing group while enjoying a delicious evening BBQ buffet around an open fire pit (held twice weekly). To complement the existing swimming pool and for those who like to stay fit while traveling, the resort is building a new gym that was under construction while we were there and will be open in the near future. What truly defines Leopard Sands, however, is the hands-on leadership and dedicated, service-oriented staff. We were welcomed by the staff singing when we first arrived, which set a wonderful atmosphere for our entire visit. A special shout-out goes to Anita, the Operations Manager, who leads by example with her personable and warm demeanor. She personally interacts with all the guests daily—taking the time to listen and engage—to ensure everyone is well looked after. We cannot recommend this lodge highly enough for anyone visiting the Kruger area!"
