"This hotel faces Tomonoura, about 30 minutes by car from Fukuyama. Tomonoura is a quiet fishing port, but historically, it is home to historical sites related to Yoshiaki, the last shogun of the Muromachi Shogunate, and the Kaien-tai from the end of the Edo period, and the narrow alleys lined with houses are beautiful. The Oononon Hotel does not have a parking lot, so they will pick you up and drop you off at the parking lot of the nearby Omokaze Hotel, which is part of the same group. The hotel entrance is a wooden structure that was moved from an old house, and even the walkway has a sense of elegance. The rooms have baths facing the sea, but the private bath on the top floor is very large and has an excellent view. Reservations are required, but it is definitely worth using. The food is a Japanese banquet course, but both the quality and quantity are satisfactory. The specialty, sea bream rice, is particularly delicious. You can choose between Japanese and Western for breakfast, and after-meal coffee can be enjoyed on the seaside terrace while looking out at the islands and boats."
