Pier Encounter is a very nice place, close to the ancient bridge. Clean rooms, friendly staff. Views from corner rooms and garden were fantastic, before constructions started. Unfortunately there is some construction or down the river which resulted in river has been emptied. Dams were demolished and excavator and trucks are now in the river bed. Basically river looks like construction site. There is no boats traveling in the river. The ancient bridge still looks very nice. All in all - i recommend this place, but best to wait till construction is finished. On issue we had was the hotel location inside the App. Hotel is shown correctly inside CTrip. But when we clicked ”directions” button, and we get transferred to the baidu maps for navigation - baidu took us to the opposite side of the river. We arrived in the middle of the night but we were on wrong side of the river. It would be suggest that Ctip corrects the issue so when we click ”directions” the address is converted to baidu maps correct.

Had such a lovely stay here! The room has a great view and the hosts are so lovely! The hosts have very good English and put all their effort into welcoming you and giving you a pleasant stay. The host Stephanie went the extra mile to making sure I had a lovely time in the hotel and town. For the affordable price you are getting an excellent deal! I also enjoyed the garden the hotel has. I highly recommend this hotel!
