"Amazing place. Would highly recommend jungle cabin for 2 nights. We opted to do the hotel safari (although other options are available), and we had a great guide and saw tonnes of elephants (even males chasing each other!), leopards, monkeys, water buffalo, crocodiles, and a whole host of other creatures great and small. Our guide was top: knowledgeable and friendly. Driver great too. Food was great in buffet, and à la carte was fantastic: veggie wrap can’t be missed and this is coming from a complete carnivore. Hope you enjoy your stay here as much as we did."

"Ravana Garden was a haven for our 7 day stay. It's right on the beach with a calm atmosphere, at a 100m walking distance to a natural pool (with less dangerous waves), meals with locally-sourced ingredients and surrounded by a lot of nature. Also there are many activities that are arranged by them through Whatsapp. We felt entirely at peace and taken care of at this resort. Another main highlight was the sustainability that people really come here for. Ravana Garden has won many awards for their practices including the compost, usage of solar power, locally sourced ingredients, self-manufactured spices etc. No TV in the room, but we never felt the need for it. Open bathrooms, well designed spacious rooms, comfortable king beds, such varied and delicious food! In April, it was quite warm outside, but in the common area there is a nice flow of breeze and fans that do a decent job of keeping you cool. The room had an AC & a fan to cool us down."

"It has the standard and amenities of a typical star-rated hotel, but it's probably the newest and most modern hotel in Sri Lanka! If you're visiting Yala, you don't necessarily have to choose this hotel. If you're not picky about the age of a hotel, I think there are several other good hotels nearby! The main issue is that staying here for over 10,000 RMB for three days and two nights really doesn't feel worthwhile! Everyone at the hotel is trying their best to provide service, but it's really disappointing. Perhaps due to a small staff and a difference in mindset, the efficiency is just too slow."

"Minimalistic hotel rooms well located off Silent Beach in Tangalle. Nice communal pool and a small amount of rooms makes the villa quite tranquil and never busy. The staff are wonderful and the chef cooks delicious food which is all very reasonably priced. I just recommend you stay away from beef in this country as it’s quite inedible, this seems a common theme whether you’re buying a cheap burger or an expensive beef dish. The only detractions to the accomodation was a foul odour emanating from the shower in the mornings, but it did dissipate thereafter. Also I find there is little point of an in-room safe if it isn’t bolted to the ground. You can literally walk in and pick the safe up and exit the room making it redundant. Rooms are well appointed and well priced for the area given the two luxury alternatives are the Amanwella resort which is quite dated and much more expensive and the Anantara Peace Haven which is more expensive but also a fantastic product. The local beach here is beautiful. I would stay here again, but I expect rooms will be hard to come by as the country lacks 5 star resorts at this time. I would stay here again no doubt and recommend the property."

Το προσωπικό δεν μπορούσε να μας βοηθήσει αν αυτό ήταν ένα μεσημέρι πρωινό λόγω του οδήγησης του παιχνιδιού μας ή της επισκευής μερικών πολύ μικρών πραγμάτων. Είναι πιο ήρεμη και γαλήνια που ταιριάζει με το περιβάλλον. Δεν μπορώ πραγματικά να συστήσω αυτό το ξενοδοχείο αρκετά. Αυτό ήταν ακριβώς που χρειαζόμασταν σε ένα μικρό ανθοδέσμητο ξενοδοχείο. "We had a wonderful stay at Kotyagala, we stayed for 4 nights. We were greeted by 2 elephants upon our arrival! Definitely a core memory! My wife and l couldn't have asked for better hospitality. The staff were incredibly kind, friendly, and always willing to help with a big smile on their face. The room was very comfortable and clean with beautiful views of the Indian Ocean. One thing that really stood out was how they tailored the menu to suit our needs, which made our stay even more enjoyable. Their Sri Lankan food was absolutely divine. Moreover, When we became unwell during our visit, Ishaan, Vajira and their team went above and beyond to look after us with genuine care and compassion. The excellent service, warm hospitality, and attention to detail made us feel truly valued. We would happily stay here again and highly recommend this hotel if relaxation and some pampering is what you’re after!"

What we enjoyed the most was the food. Chef Sri is very accommodating and the food is really good. We enjoyed a good string hopper breakfast one morning and a pol roti breakfast the next morning. The hotel staff is always obliging and overall had a lovely experience."

"Wild Coast Tented Lodge by Relais & Châteaux. This luxury wilderness resort was founded by Dilmah's renowned tea company. All accommodations are tented, giving our child a taste of super-sized tent camping. The extra bed for children was a fun touch. As our butler said, 'I'm sure she'll love it,' and she did! The meals are all-inclusive, covering three delicious and hearty meals a day (lunch can be enjoyed on check-in day or after check-out the next day), afternoon tea, sunset cocktail hour, and a daily jeep safari in the national park. It cost around 9K per night for two adults and one child. The resort is located within Yala National Park, so you'll frequently spot monkeys, deer, lizards, and squirrels, and even elephants occasionally visit. For any movement between 7 PM and 7 AM, you need to call staff to accompany you. The biggest advantage is skipping the safari queue. There's a dedicated fast track, and seeing dozens, if not hundreds, of other vehicles waiting to register made us feel quite smug. However, to spot a leopard 🐆, you still need to wake up at 4:30 AM."
