"The location is fantastic, right inside Chongqing Apartment, which is to the right after exiting Xiaoshizi Station's Exit 9. It's next to Peijie Hot Pot, and there's also Cha Yan Yue Se and Li Ruo Tao nearby. Basically, it's super convenient for getting to many attractions. The accommodation itself is great – the bed is really comfortable, and they even provide lozenges. The room is spacious, with a private toilet and shower, and a large locker. Overall, it's excellent, but there is a curfew: you can't be loud after 11 PM, so it's best not to come back too late."

"It's a bit better than our dorms back in school, still very comfortable. We stayed for about ten days straight, and by the end, it felt just like home – we really didn't want to leave. Out of all those days, only one night was in a room without a private bathroom, but honestly, they were all pretty similar. The living room is great for eating, with sofas and stools, which is really convenient. Plus, they even provide disposable face towels and the toilet paper is decent quality. Overall, I'm very satisfied! Next time I'm in Chongqing, I'm definitely choosing this place again. The owner and the cleaning lady are both lovely. Just a heads-up for first-timers: when staying in Building A, take the express elevator on the far left to reach the 49th floor."

"To sum it up: You can always trust Backpacker's Ten Years, it's the pinnacle of domestic youth hostels. The location is right inside Shancheng Alley, so you step right out into the scenic area. It's not far from the subway, but in a mountain city, you know... if you're walking, you'll be climbing a long, steep slope. For your first arrival and final departure, I'd recommend taking a taxi. I tested it myself: a taxi to the North Station at 7:00 AM cost 16 yuan and took about 20 minutes, which is very convenient. This hostel's common areas aren't open 24 hours, and there aren't many beds, so even when it's full, it never feels crowded. The experience is very comfortable. All kinds of facilities are complete, and there are plenty of entertainment options in the common area. The access control is strict; you always need to carry your room card, so the security is very high."

"My main reason for this trip was to see Zhou Shen's concert, and this place is super close to the metro station. The Olympic Sports Center is only about 20 minutes away, just 3 metro stops 🚇. Facilities: The common areas are really spacious, the environment is great, and the layout is very well-designed. It stays quiet even at night. The bathroom and shower being separate is just amazing – honestly, this is the best hostel I've ever stayed in, a true gem for my first hostel experience. Service: The service was also excellent; the staff (the young ladies) were very patient. The restaurant, as expected, was delicious. The Tom Yum Goong soup had a rich variety of ingredients, including 3 large prawns, clams, fish balls, and more. It was great to be able to enjoy such good food without having to go out."

"FOUR ROOFTOP GARDEN HOTEL is an excellent choice. It has a good location, 3 minutes walking distance from a closest subway station. And 30-40 minutes of walking to downtown. It is clean and staff is ready to help anytime. Besides kitchen and lounge there are two terraces. The rooftop on above 32nd floor, is amazing, offering you a wonderful view at downtown Chongqing."

"This hostel is great because the rooms have their own bathrooms, which is super convenient. The common area outside is also really spacious, perfect for eating, studying, or reading. The beds come with a reading lamp, power outlets, and lockers, all well-equipped. Plus, the bunk bed ladders aren't just rungs; they're like a sturdy, box-shaped staircase, very safe and solid. Even if you're usually scared of climbing to the top bunk, you'll feel secure here. Overall, I highly recommend it! I forgot to take photos, but it's genuinely good."

"This is an excellent hostel! It has the biggest beds I've ever seen in a hostel – easily big enough for two people. The blackout curtains are fantastic; I slept like a log. There are plenty of restrooms and showers, and I never had to queue during my two stays. Everything is very clean, and the hairdryer works great. They also provide body wash and shampoo. The location is superb, within walking distance to Jiefangbei, Kuixing Building, Chongqing Art Museum, and Linjiangmen subway station. It's also super convenient for ordering food delivery."

"Easily the best hostel I've ever been to. What made it my favorite is the common areas with wonderful vibes, the complete set of amenities, and the incredible hosts. My favorite room is the main cafe area on the top floor, where there is always bread and tea available, I went to the supermarket nearby and bought some jam and peanut butter so I could make a quick sandwich whenever I wanted, and it was *incredible*. The host and hostess have so many resources for things to do in Chongqing, and you can ask them anything you want - they're very good at English and give you a whole tour of their guidebook they've made for all the things there when you first check in. There's a balcony on the second floor, the cafe area on the third floor, and the rooftop patio, so I found there to be a really nice variety of places to hang out in especially if I needed a quiet place to take a call and the other areas were busy. All of them are super clean and comfortable, and in my three days there I met people from other parts of Asia, Europe, and the USA. French, German, Scotland, Malaysian, Chinese - you name it, there are a rotating cast of characters from all over and I really enjoyed it! So, amenities wise here's what you've got that I found exceptional: 1. Showers - Plentiful, soap and shampoo provided, never ran out of hot water 2. Bathrooms - Plentiful western + asian toilets, *toilet paper provided* 3. Beds - cozy, each room has a window, area under the bed is good for storing stuff. Some people who aren't used to asian beds might find the mattress thin but I'm good with it. 4. BREAD AND TEA - Can't applaud this enough, they bake their own bread and have it available in the cafe area the whole time, they brew tea every morning, so peak. 5. Washer and *Dryer* - lots of places don't have dryer, this is super nice, it's about 10 元 to use and well worth it, definitely washed my clothes well. 6. Water - Clean water on tap, hot and cold, kettle also available if I remember correctly. 7. VIEW - The first floor is on the 31st floor, but the place goes up 3 more floors from there to the rooftop. Really cute sort of style to it with stairs between each floor. Each floor has an incredible view of the central area of Chongqing - Jiefangbei, and you can see the bridges plus WFC from there. 8. Company - The host and hostess are so lovely and helped me practice my Chinese, but they also speak great english. The other guests at the hostel also spoke plentiful english and many were fellow Westerners, so if you don't want to practice your Chinese you can chat with them too. It seems to attract a mixed bag of people from other asian countries to western countries, I personally hope I can practice more chinese next time 所以我可以好好学习天天向上！ 9. Location - Right in the middle of Jiefangbei, next to Jiaochangkou subway, and plenty of restaurants. 10. Price - Very affordable, very worth it. This is probably going to be my ”base” I return to every time i'm back in Chongqing from here on out! Thank you so much for having me! -Blue / 蓝阳"

"This hostel's location is super convenient; it's right by the exit of Xiaoshizi subway station. Downstairs, there's a bustling shopping area, and it's incredibly easy to get to popular spots like Jiefangbei, Hongyadong, and Shibati—they're all within walking distance. The owner is incredibly nice, helpful, and very patient. During my trip to Chongqing, I genuinely felt the warmth, hospitality, sincerity, and kindness of the local people everywhere I went. Chongqing truly is a city with warmth, and staying at Yijia Youth Hostel was definitely the right choice. I'll surely be back! I hope to work in Chongqing after graduating from university and revisit Yijia Youth Hostel to retrace my steps from that time!"
