Yining Kailash Youth Hostel (Liuxing Street Branch) is a youth hostel full of travel atmosphere, located in the Liuxing Street area of Yining City. It not only provides a comfortable accommodation environment, but also strives to create a relaxed and pleasant social space for travellers from all over the world to gather, communicate and share travel stories. There is a Mabon Yongcuo cafe in the hostel, which provides a pleasant resting place for travellers to enjoy the warm time of a cup of coffee on the way.

Liuxing Street is one of the neighbourhoods with a strong cultural atmosphere in Yining City. "In Yining, this is a place where you can truly slow down. I've stayed in hostels all over the world, and this one honestly ranks among the top, a real 'white moonlight' experience (meaning it's exceptional and unforgettable).
The cafe at the entrance is clean and tidy. In the evenings, travelers gather there to chat and relax, which is wonderfully leisurely. There's also my favorite reading area, perfect for practicing calligraphy, finding peace, or simply reading. It's a quiet space for focused contemplation, also great for introverted friends.
The communal kitchen greatly simplifies meal planning for travelers. You can cook your own healthy and affordable food. I often shared meals with other hostel guests, finding new dining companions every night. We'd chat, and every meal was lively and had an amazing atmosphere. Here, you get to experience the most authentic and vibrant slice of life.
I've stayed in both the dorms and the tents, and each has its own unique charm. The bunk beds in the dorms are equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable sleep even in the summer heat. The tents offer a more private space, which is a different kind of experience. The infrastructure is also excellent; with mosquito zappers, you don't have to worry about mosquito bites."

"I stayed here for over a week and absolutely loved it! The ladies working here were all incredibly warm and charming. We even went shopping together and had some late-night skewers. The hotel's decor is beautiful, and being surrounded by local ethnic minorities really allowed me to immerse myself in the local customs. It was truly wonderful!"

"Even though I only stayed for one night, the value for money was truly excellent. The location is right inside the Kazanqi scenic area, so it's easy to find by taxi. The front desk lady was very kind and enthusiastic, and even helped me with my luggage. The room was clean, and the comforter and pillows felt brand new. The courtyard is huge and absolutely beautiful. That night, I even joined a mahjong game with some other guests – it was so much fun! I hope to stay longer next time."

"I really want to call this youth travel crazy! I chose this one on the first day of arrival in Yining. I can make a film without leaving home. As a backpacker and cyclist traveling alone, I was worried about the health and experience of the Youth Hostel, but the result was completely beyond expectations. The location was too great. I was really fanned by the environment and service circle of this Youth Hostel! I was cured as soon as I entered the door. The overall style is simple and warm. It takes a few minutes to walk to Liuxing Street. There are breakfast shops and convenience stores around. Whether it is a rush trip or daily purchase, it is super convenient. The staff is also super good. The service is warm and thoughtful. Answer, full experience! The stay was very comfortable and I have recommended it to my friends. I wish the boss a prosperous business and do better! "The experience was excellent. The owner and the receptionist were very welcoming. Upon check-in, they provided a four-piece bedding set, toothbrush, slippers, and even an eye mask and earplugs – a thoughtful touch compared to other couples I've stayed with. They also helped with my luggage.
The owner also has several cats, which are kept in a separate room to prevent them from running away. The cats are very well cared for and are incredibly beautiful.
Having traveled extensively in Northwest China and been eating beef and mutton every day without any light food, I happened to see the staff and owner eating. They had some mung bean porridge. I wanted to pay for a bowl, but they kindly shared it with me – it was delicious!
The separate floors for men and women are convenient and I really appreciated it. There was also a dedicated dressing table, and the beds were comfortable and clean. The only downside was that the shower and toilet were combined, and the drainage in the shower area had a problem; it easily flooded and wouldn't drain.
Overall, I really liked this place. I originally booked another place, but the price increase was outrageous, so I decided to come here instead. I regret not coming here from the beginning. The service was better and more attentive than the previous place. The ladies and the owner were very friendly and responsive."

Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 5km from Yining Railway Station and 7km from Ili Yining International Airport. This hotel is located near many of Yining City's attractions including Liuxing Street, Huiyuan Ancient City History and Culture Exhibition Hall and Linzexu Memorial Hall. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This hotel is particularly popular with those traveling alone.
"Great hotel. There is an open space to chill in the evening. The girls on the reception were here helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator with no problem. Only 3 minute walk from great food street, where you can try traditional food.
There is drinkable water next ro the reception.
The location is right in the center 1km from the long bus terminal and 6km from the railway station. But from the left and right side of the hotel you can have a nice walk in the city.
If you are from Europe there is a chance to not be able to connect to the WiFi. Just FYI."

"Really nice hostel and the owner will do his best to help you. They proposed great tours that I recommend. You have shops and restaurants around and close to the railway station, which is nice because it is the picking up point of the tours."

The location is excellent, with parking right outside. The guesthouse has a small courtyard, convenient for dining and chatting. Most importantly, the rooms are bright, clean, and the air conditioning works perfectly. The owners are incredibly kind and helpful, warmly assisting us with check-in and explaining details like locking the door. They were very accommodating. The recommended food was absolutely delicious: the Yun Ding Fresh Bean Hot Pot with Snowflake Beef was so fresh it made my eyebrows fall off; the barbecue stall across the alley from the iron fence was so good I raved about it for two days straight (grilled naan and beef tendon are the perfect accompaniments); the Sichuan pepper chicken at the alley entrance; and a few steps further on, there's cheap and delicious Qianjiang crayfish (all live crayfish). The owner also recommended a hidden gem in the alley (Yi Ba Zhua), a 40-year-old establishment, which was also incredibly tasty… Staying here was quiet and peaceful, perfect for catching up on sleep. There was so much delicious food, and everything was convenient. It was a small but precious moment of happiness on my trip. I met such wonderful guesthouse owners and stayed in such a lovely place. We enjoyed sitting in the courtyard, eating, and chatting – it was so much fun! We decided to extend our stay on the first day. It was truly wonderful to stay here. The puppy's name is Mushroom, and he's incredibly affectionate and adorable. Everything was wonderful; I truly give it a thumbs up and feel free to come and stay. (The flowers were arranged by the owner herself, and she even prepared welcome dried fruit—such thoughtful little details!)

The general ability, the service is far from poor, the front desk is rigid and there is no smile, and I changed four rooms! The first one, the sheets looked not full of dust, the second was so long hair, the third trash can had soot, the table was not wiped, the mineral water drank a bottle of short hair, the room was not ventilated, the bathroom floor had hair, the fourth air conditioner was turned on without wind! broken! Cleaning a man and a woman? Especially noisy, the bedding is not very comfortable, the security should be especially said! very good! very warm! Sichuan Yibin uncle! The ladder climbs up to repair the air conditioner to send things! very good! The deposit is refunded immediately. The evaluation said that the room is relatively small.
