"Good hostel, very social for chinese youth. They have nice common areas with pool, ping pong and lot of tables and seats. Beds are huge and comfy, very nice! People do stay up late so maybe don't expect a very quiet environment if you are a light sleeper. But location is close to railways station and walkable to many small stores and also a bigger supermaket. The area is beautiful, very nice for sunset and the terrace is huge and you can wash your clothes and just chill there on the top. The washing machine I think it is reserved only for the hostel, but it's ok. The staff was nice, especially the young boy who spoke good english and he was super helpful, patient. The inly thing I did not appreciate was the fact that you had to put on your bedsheets, I mean this is quite common in china, but for the price I think I should not be requiered to do this. Wifi was strong on all the floors exept the terrace and toiletries were provided. Showers were plenty, clean and nice with hit water. All in all it was a very positive experience."

Yining Kailash Youth Hostel (Liuxing Street Branch) is a youth hostel full of travel atmosphere, located in the Liuxing Street area of Yining City. There is a Mabon Yongcuo cafe in the hostel, which provides a pleasant resting place for travellers to enjoy the warm time of a cup of coffee on the way.

Liuxing Street is one of the neighbourhoods with a strong cultural atmosphere in Yining City. It is convenient to live around it, and you can walk to all kinds of special restaurants, snack streets and markets. In addition, the hostel is close to popular places such as Ili River Scenic Area and Hanren Street, which is convenient for tourists to explore the charm of the city.
II. Hostel environment and facilities
The overall design of Kailash Youth Hostel (Liuxing Street Store) integrates a variety of cultural elements, and the style is warm and unique. The hostel offers a variety of room types, including multi-person rooms and independent bathrooms, to meet the needs of different travellers.

"This hostel isn't super far from LiuXing Street, but it's not right next door either. It's about a 10-minute walk, which is nice for a stroll to digest your food, but you can't just pop right over.
The room situation really depends on luck. If it's not full, there's decent space – you can open your luggage, chill on the bed and relax comfortably. But once it's full, the whole room instantly feels cramped. The ceiling even seems lower, and if several people are trying to move around, you're constantly bumping into each other. It definitely feels less breathable.
Heads up: shower gel and shampoo aren't provided, so you need to bring your own. You also have to put on and take off your own bedding (sheets, duvet cover, pillowcase).
Also, the road right outside is currently under construction. It's all dug up like a battlefield, full of potholes and very dusty. Dragging luggage in and out is a real hassle; you have to lift your suitcase and carry it for a bit. Coming back at night, it's dark, so you have to be careful not to twist an ankle. Once the road is fixed, the experience will definitely be much better."

"My trip to Yining was a last-minute decision, so the accommodation booking was quite rushed. Initially, the photos looked good. Let's get straight to the pros and cons!
Pros: The price was reasonable, and the location on Liuxing Street is excellent. Although there's no elevator, the front desk staff were very helpful with luggage, and since it's not many floors up, climbing wasn't strenuous. There's a large terrace upstairs, which was very convenient for drying clothes. The water heater provided quick, strong water flow. Despite facing the street, it was surprisingly quiet.
Cons: The first room we were given had dirty bedsheets, and the drawers contained dust and hair. The owner attributed it to oil from a previous guest's takeout and promptly moved us to another room. It's baffling why a room, if not properly cleaned, would be offered to a new guest, regardless of the mess's origin. The bed in the new room was clean, and while there was still some dust in corners, it wasn't too bothersome. However, at night, I noticed the toilet paper dispenser was full of white powdery dust, which was quite off-putting.
The guesthouse itself is quite new, and the location is excellent. However, the owner seriously needs to get on top of the cleaning!"

The Stop Youth Hostel provides a great place for travelers to relax after a busy day. The Stop Youth Hostel offers a pleasant stay in Yining City for those traveling for business or leisure. Boasting a convenient location, the hotel is just 5km from Yining Railway Station and 6km from Ili Yining International Airport. This hotel is located near many of Yining City's attractions including Liuxing Street, Huiyuan Ancient City History and Culture Exhibition Hall and Linzexu Memorial Hall. After a long day of sightseeing, guests can retire to the comfort of the hotel. This hotel is a popular accommodation for guests traveling alone.
"Great hotel. There is an open space to chill in the evening. The girls on the reception were here helpful and we managed to communicate with the translator with no problem. Only 3 minute walk from great food street, where you can try traditional food.
There is drinkable water next ro the reception.
The location is right in the center 1km from the long bus terminal and 6km from the railway station. But from the left and right side of the hotel you can have a nice walk in the city.
If you are from Europe there is a chance to not be able to connect to the WiFi. Just FYI."

"It was my second time staying here, the place is beautiful and I met so many nice girls who I ended up hanging out with while I was in Yining. The Kazanqi area around the hostel is lovely, walking distance from great restaurants and shops. I was able to put things I the fridge and freezer and use the kitchen at the hostel. The courtyard and balcony are such nice places to sit and do work or eat there was also a puppy which was so cute!! The rooms were clean and comfortable, with cute decor and the toilet/shower room in the room is modern and clean. I definitely recommend!"

"I stayed here for over a week and absolutely loved it! The ladies working here were all incredibly warm and charming. We even went shopping together and had some late-night skewers. The hotel's decor is beautiful, and being surrounded by local ethnic minorities really allowed me to immerse myself in the local customs. It was truly wonderful!"

"Wowo Youth Hostel is my first time staying in a youth hostel. It completely overturned my previous imagination of youth hostels. I originally thought that youth hostels would be noisy and would not have a good rest. Unexpectedly, Wowo Youth Hostel is quiet. , clean and tidy, with novel decoration. What satisfies me the most is that its yard is very large. There are fruit trees and flowers in the yard. I sit in the yard in a daze every morning. It doesn’t feel too good. And the boss is very nice and knows how to do it. He gave me a lot of suggestions for my trip to Yining. If you plan to come to Yining, you might as well come to Wowo Youth Hostel to experience it. It will definitely give you a different experience on your trip!"
