The dining area was on the second floor where I checked in, and it was a 5-minute drive back to the room (I don't recommend walking, it's a bit far). The staff member explained the switch and drainage method and left, so I had to operate it myself (the water filling switch automatically stops every 15 minutes, requiring repeated manual operation). No one mentioned that the indoor hot spring bath couldn't be filled with water. I started filling it before 5 pm, and at 5:40 pm I called customer service to report that it wasn't full.
