"The hotel's exterior environment is quite good, and the service response is very prompt. For example, having a car shuttle to scenic spots felt really nice. But!! Basic hygiene must be done properly, right?! Otherwise, everything else is just superficial and showy, adding no value whatsoever! It only gives an impression of being flashy but impractical, a real drawback. But what's most frustrating is the cleanliness of the room. We stayed for 2 nights, and on both the first and second nights, the bathroom drain was clogged, leading to flooding. The second night was particularly bad; the sewage was truly disgusting. For a suite costing over 3000 a night, this situation is truly speechless. This is Yunnan, not… We carefully examined it and believe there are two issues: 1. Inadequate daily cleaning, not thoroughly clearing hair and other debris left by the previous guests; 2. A design flaw in the hotel room. The room outside the bathroom, which has a bathtub, surprisingly lacks a floor drain. If it gets wet, there's no way for the water to drain. I initially thought the service was good, but when I checked out and reported the issue, there was no indication of any willingness to improve, just an apology. So, indeed, the service was just mediocre. I'm a local and have stayed in many hotels. I had hoped to bring my family here for a good time and relaxation, but I didn't expect this hotel to have such hygiene problems. I sincerely hope Yunnan can have truly world-class international hotels, and I hope for improvements!"

"The facilities here are really great, completely exceeding my expectations! 👌 Both the equipment and the decor are very modern. Plus, the environment is excellent, perfect for hanging out with friends. Most importantly, their service is exceptional; it feels very thoughtful and comfortable. The air conditioning temperature was just right, the bedding was soft and cozy, and the toiletries were all individually packaged, making them convenient and reassuring to use."

"I am very fortunate to have chosen to be willing among the many hotels in Maitreya. This is a small hotel with the quality of star hotels. From small to large toiletries to hotel design, from intimate and exquisite meals to comfortable and modern facilities in the room, you can see the requirements and taste of the hotel manager. Almost every public corner of this hotel can take good-looking photos. The hotel is located in a beautiful park and it is great to run in the morning. It is very close to Qian Wangmen and the food street. There is also an exclusive parking space in the underground garage. The staff will call in advance to contact the guests to pick up the guests and pick up the luggage. Breakfast will have a nutritious and simple set menu to choose from, which makes people feel intimate everywhere. Coffee is always available, self-service production is not worse than the coffee shop, saving two days of coffee money. The hotel will give attractions routes and some dining recommendations very good. There is also a private soup to soak, and the staff is washing and brushing early in the morning every day. A little troublesome is that the bathroom has no door (it is said that the door is ready to be added), even if the couple walks back and forth and sees the other half squatting in the toilet, I am afraid it is embarrassing. "I enjoyed my stay at this hotel, particularly because of its quiet atmosphere and attention to detail. The room I stayed in featured an onsen-style bathtub combined with a shower area, and I appreciated that the hotel provided a bottle of sanitizing solution to enhance hygiene and guest comfort. The bed was comfortable, and the room was clean and well maintained. The hotel also offers self-service laundry facilities, including washing machines and dryers on the rooftop, which is very convenient for longer stays. Guests are also welcome to use the rooftop onsen pool, providing a relaxing experience after a day of sightseeing. Although the rooms do not come with a minibar, the hotel compensates by offering complimentary ice cream and additional bottled drinking water at the reception level. While the ice cream was not delicious, the extra refreshments were a thoughtful touch. It will be good if the hotel not to allow guests smoke in common area such as dining hall for breakfast. Overall, this hotel stands out for its peaceful environment, cleanliness, convenient access to food and park, and thoughtful amenities at very reasonable room rate. I would gladly stay here again."

"When traveling with my girlfriend, the most important thing is the hotel, followed by the food. I've been to Mile many times, and honestly, the hotels there are generally quite good. But this time, the Mountain Retreat was a truly delightful surprise. The service was on par with a five-star international hotel. From the welcome gift to the hotel's amenities, everything made for a wonderful stay. The lobby design is a wonderful blend of Chinese and Western elements. It's spacious, and the hand-drip coffee is excellent! The hot spring on the first floor has both public and private pools, and importantly, it's very well-ventilated—not stuffy at all! Since I drove there, I parked right next to the hotel, making it convenient to go out and explore. What surprised me most was the body lotion provided by the hotel; it smelled amazing! I only used half a bottle, but I took the rest home to find the same product online, haha. It wasn't cheap, but it was definitely worth the price. In my opinion, a truly good value experience is what I call value for money! I didn't take pictures of the room because we arrived too late and slept in a mess. You can see other people's pictures. Clean and luxurious!"

"This is a very nice guesthouse. The rooms are new, clean, and the service is attentive and welcoming. The owner makes breakfast herself, and the menu changes daily to satisfy almost any taste. I would definitely choose this place again next time I visit Mile."

"The overall stay experience is still very good, the room is clean and tidy, the facilities are arranged in an orderly manner, it is comfortable to look at, the service attitude of the front desk and the room is also very good, the response is timely, the hospitality is warm, the overall feeling is intimate and thoughtful. The only fly in the ointment is that the sound insulation problem is more obvious, especially when other guests on the same floor enter and exit the room, the door is particularly loud, often a loud sound of ”cockroaches”, no warning, it is easy to be suddenly shocked. Fortunately during the day, when the night is quiet, this sound is particularly harsh, and the frequent sound of closing doors seriously affects the rest. From time to time, it will be awakened by a shock. People who sleep lightly are really a bit difficult to adapt. I hope that the hotel can make some improvements in the shock absorption and sound insulation of the door in the future, such as adding anti-collision strips, reminding guests to close the door lightly, etc., otherwise no matter how good the environment and service, it will be greatly discounted due to noise problems."

"We chose Mile over Jianshui for a few days' relaxation primarily because we discovered the newly opened Holiday Inn there. Our five-day stay at the Holiday Inn exceeded our expectations. First off, this is a proper hotel, not one of those trendy simplified versions. What I mean is that its design and concept are genuinely geared towards providing guests with top-notch accommodation and service. The hotel boasts numerous public facilities: a bright and spacious lobby, an elegant little bar and lounge area, a kids' play corner, a starlit swimming pool, two hot spring pools with different temperatures, and a self-service laundry room. And then there's the restaurant – I absolutely have to mention it! The chef prepares a super rich breakfast every day, always with new surprises. I'm guessing the head chef is a master from Guangdong, though he told me he's from Yunnan. As for the rooms, they are large, clean, and tastefully decorated. The bed, sheets, and duvet are all high-quality. What truly reflects the hotel's quality are the in-room furnishings: the Holiday Inn has chosen truly comfortable chairs and sofas, the kind you can relax in while reading or listening to music. The most valuable asset of this hotel, however, is its entire staff. Every single person is friendly and polite, genuinely caring for each guest. A big thank you to Xiao Ji at the front desk, Nancy at the bar, KoKo at the restaurant, and the ever-present Gavin and Jennifer, along with their entire team. The hotel's location is opposite Honghe Water Village. We walked to Dahou Park every day for a stroll, visited nearby coffee shops, tried various restaurants, and after dinner, headed to Honghe Water Village to enjoy the bustling atmosphere. We are very much looking forward to staying at this hotel again next time. Highly recommend this excellent place."

"The hotel boasts a beautiful environment with clean, tidy, and comfortable rooms. The service was warm and attentive, and there's a dedicated parking lot. The black swans were a particular hit with the kids, who absolutely loved them! Breakfast was plentiful, and the Huquan braised chicken was delicious. We really appreciated the thoughtful touch of the hotel quickly setting up a canopy corridor between the restaurant and the lobby when it rained. However, the travel photography experience was a bit disappointing and felt rushed."

"During the Chinese New Year, most hotels significantly inflate their prices, but this hotel's rates didn't seem to surge too drastically in comparison. The staff here are all quite enthusiastic. We booked two rooms, and one of them wasn't ready when we checked in (this might have been a slip-up due to the overwhelming number of guests during CNY). However, the manager personally came to apologize and explain the situation. A nice touch is that the hotel provides complimentary fruit and milk daily. The location is also very convenient; there's a delicious braised chicken rice noodle snack shop right downstairs. It's a great spot for families with kids."
