"Facilities: Absolutely fantastic! Cleanliness: As expected from a Japanese hotel, impeccable. Ambiance: Elegant. Service: Warm and welcoming. This hotel was our first stop on our trip to Japan and it completely exceeded our expectations. Although it was a bit pricey, my family of three all agreed it was worth every penny. It honestly made all the subsequent hotels on our trip feel just 'okay' in comparison. We chose the 'one night, two meals' plan, and the D-type room came with a hot spring bath. The sushi at dinner was incredible – far better than what you'd get at a high-end restaurant in a major city (where you'd pay around 1300 JPY per person), and even better than the sushi we had in Sapporo and Tokyo. Breakfast was extensive, and the staff were incredibly polite and enthusiastic. We will definitely be back and will book the same hotel and room type again. This is the first hotel I've ever felt compelled to recommend; it's so much better than anything you'd find back home! It's rare to find a hotel that makes you want to linger and return."

"-spacious room but when the futon is made, there will be no place to walk. -large onsen area despite the number of guests staying, it doesn't feel crowded. (but the makeup and hair dryer area is limited) -good location with 7-11 and seico mart in front of the hotel and walkable distance to Jigokudani valley. -dinner buffet has various options with okay quality (my comment is it looks good but the food is not hot). Sashimi and crab leg is my best. -breakfast is also okay but don't be late cause they don't refill the food when its nearly closing time. -B1 floor has amusement zone which contains lot of games each for 100yen (it's a good price)"

"This was my second time visiting Jigokudani, and I chose this hotel because the dinner reviews looked good. The room was quite spacious, and the smell of sulfur was pervasive, which I actually liked! The baths were excellent, all sulfur springs, and it was great that they provided towels. You can also use the baths at the neighboring hotel, Ayatei. Dinner was indeed good, with ingredients and cooking methods both above average. Breakfast was also decent; in addition to Japanese breakfast, there was a Western selection, which offered more flexibility. It's very close to the onsen town, so it's convenient for exploring Jigokudani or visiting convenience stores. I experienced an earthquake right before check-out!"

"The hotel location is good, with direct bus service from Noboribetsu Station. It's a Japanese-style room, and we slept on a futon on the tatami floor at night. The room was quite spacious, and the rooms not facing the street overlooked an inner courtyard. The hotel's public bath (onsen) has many pools, including open-air ones and a swimming pool. Breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. Stepping out of the hotel, you're right on the shopping street, making dining and shopping convenient, and it's not far from Jigokudani (Hell Valley)."

"Let's talk about the location, which I know everyone cares about. We took the hotel shuttle directly from New Chitose Airport, and I have to praise this bus – it was only 1000 JPY per person, such a bargain! You just need to book it with the hotel in advance. We booked a Japanese-style room, but the hotel ended up giving us a room with two beds and two futons. The room was quite spacious and very clean. Even though it was near the elevator, there was hardly any noise. The hotel is a little bit away from the onsen town, about 800 meters, but since Noboribetsu isn't hot, it was actually a pleasant walk. The most important thing (here's the highlight!) is that the Ogre Family statues and the natural footbath are right behind the hotel, just a few minutes' walk away. So, there's no need to deal with crowds during the day. We went in the evening and had the entire natural footbath to ourselves – it was incredibly relaxing! We booked a package with two meals. The dinner was amazing, especially the fish roe and sashimi, and the salmon mixed with shrimp paste was divine. There was also grilled meat. Alcoholic drinks need to be ordered separately; a 330ml glass of plum wine was about 30 RMB (approx. 4.5 USD) and was mixed really well. We drank it for two consecutive nights and also tried Hokkaido sake. Both buildings have hot spring pools on their rooftops. If you don't want to use the public pools, you can also rent private ones. I particularly loved their outdoor bath. One morning it was raining, and I went for an outdoor soak around 6 AM. There wasn't a single soul there – the experience was fantastic! They also have a cold plunge pool and a sauna. All the toiletries are DHC, which are quite good. Plus, the bath area is open 24 hours, except for a cleaning period from 2 AM to 3 AM. The lobby is spacious, and although the staff don't speak English, they are very enthusiastic. I only know some basic Japanese, but we could still communicate. On the day we left, it was raining, and the hotel staff walked us out with umbrellas. We took the hotel shuttle to Sapporo Station, and the driver was an older gentleman who was incredibly kind. I really love this hotel. If you go to Noboribetsu, you absolutely must stay here. The value for money is exceptional, and best of all, it's not too crowded."

"The onsen is located in around 1:15 taxi drive from airport, not exactly easy to get there, but it’s good. That is also one of the few onsens in the region with private onsen in the room. The rooms are large and very spacious, onsen is also on the larger side - 2 people can easily stretch the legs there. Windows can be opened and you can enjoy some view. Beware that there are smoking and not smoking rooms There was a free massage chair in our room, it was one of the fancy ones so we could warm some bones first and stretch some bones later on while you’re warmed up. 10 mins away - conbini store where life is flowing 24/7, Hells valley 10 mins away also. You can take an easy hour trail enjoying the views over nature."

"We chose this onsen hotel for our trip to Noboribetsu. It's super convenient, right across from the Noboribetsu Bus Terminal once you get off the bus from Noboribetsu JR Station. We arrived quite early, and the staff were incredibly helpful. They stored our luggage, booked a private onsen for us in the evening, and even called a car to take us to the Bear Park. After our visit, we decided to walk back down, and it wasn't far from the onsen town at all. We had lunch in the onsen town before heading back to the hotel to check in. Although the hotel is a bit older, it's impeccably clean. In the afternoon, we explored Jigokudani (Hell Valley). We opted for the half-board option, and dinner was fantastic – a wide variety of seafood, steak, pasta, BBQ, pizza, and more! After dinner, we relaxed for a bit before enjoying the onsen. The night was very peaceful for sleeping. The breakfast the next day was also great, with the option to make your own seafood rice bowl. I'd definitely come back here again!"

"A wonderful hotel in Noboribetsu, highly recommended! Booking and check-in were very easy, and the staff explained everything clearly. We were given a printed sheet with dinner and breakfast times, as well as information about where everything was located. Dinner was amazing. You can choose one of three main dishes, and the meal itself is very generous. We spent almost an hour eating because there was so much food, and everything was delicious. After dinner, we went to the hanabi festival. It turned out that in summer Noboribetsu Onsen has a festival on certain days, where you can watch a beautiful demon show. It was really impressive! Breakfast was also excellent and very tasty. In addition to the main dishes, there is a self-service area where you can take extra food. The onsen was wonderful. At first, we wanted to try the private onsen, so we booked it in advance by email for 50 minutes. Inside, there are two baths, which was very nice, and one of them is outdoors. The public onsen has a similar setup, with both indoor and outdoor baths. Everything you might need is provided, including creams, lotions, foot massagers, and other amenities. The location is excellent: only about 15 minutes by bus from Noboribetsu Station. The bear park is also nearby, and Hell Valley is about a 10-minute walk away. The hotel is clean, pleasant, and beautifully combines modern comfort with a traditional atmosphere. We would be very happy to come back!"

"This onsen hotel is a bit old, and the beds are quite small—our triple room only had two very small beds. However, the staff's service was excellent! It felt just like coming home. The buffet breakfast and dinner on the second floor were both pretty good. Overall, I'm satisfied."

"The location is quite convenient; we had ample parking space since we drove. It's also just an 8 to 10-minute walk to the Onsen Street, Noboribetsu Hell Valley, and Oyunumagawa Natural Footbath. The dinner at the onsen ryokan was incredibly generous, and both the beef and sashimi were exceptionally fresh and delicious. Breakfast also felt very ceremonial, though personally, I found it a bit too salty. We checked in on our first night after landing, and after a good soak in the onsen, I slept exceptionally well. I'd especially like to commend the waiter; he was so attentive and welcoming. There were a few minor issues with the room facilities when we first checked in, but they were all resolved in the end."
