"The view from the window is absolutely stunning, like a painting – seriously, you *have* to get a sea-view room on the third floor! The room decor has a lovely French-inspired touch, very beautiful. The bathroom was spotless and well-stocked with a generous supply of disposable toiletries, which were replenished daily. The location is a hidden gem – quiet but close to the action. Right outside, there's a restaurant that's been featured by a celebrity, Ma Jiaqi, and the surrounding area is full of charming old villas, drawing lots of influencers looking for the perfect photo op. Just a heads-up, it's on a one-way uphill road, so traffic can be a bit of a nightmare. If you're heading out, it's best to call a taxi in advance, or it's just about a ten-minute walk to the nearest subway and bus stations."

"Great location behind Aeon Jinggangshan metro station. The check in was awkward as the owner messed up with the booking number of trip.com and that it his own system, but the trip.com customer service did a great job in resolving the issue. The room was basic and clean. Wifi worked well. I can recommend Timeswang Hotel for a shower stay in Qingdao - Huangdao area."

"First off, about the room: we stayed in a two-bed room, and it was clean, tidy, and very bright, even featuring a piano! It's an historic building, a century-old German-style red house that's been renovated, and the music theme creates a wonderful ambiance. The antique piano in the lobby is incredibly stylish. It's just a 100-meter walk to Zhanqiao Pier and Zhongshan Road. The room was clean and comfortable, and the rooftop terrace offered a panoramic view of the old town's red roofs and the sea. The service was attentive; this is definitely a must-stay unique hotel if you're visiting Qingdao. The young lady at the front desk was very enthusiastic and provided excellent service. The service declined a bit when a different staff member was on duty the next day. A minor drawback was the set breakfast. Everyone who came after us received mini steamed buns, but we only got steamed twisted rolls. When we asked for more, we were told they were out. We also weren't proactively offered coffee or milk; we had to ask for them ourselves. Additionally, one of the curtains couldn't be drawn, so we could only use the sheer curtain. You can skip the breakfast if you stay here, but the accommodation itself is quite good."

"The room is beautiful and has a very cozy layout. It's also very close to the Yangkou cable car. The front desk staff were super friendly and gave me great travel tips! It was a very comfortable trip, a definite bonus!"

"I had a flight with an overnight layover in Qingdao, so I opted to stay locally in a hotel. 'Locally' meant riding two stops on the subway, and catching the bus for two stops which altogether cost me less than £1. Probably about $1 US, or €1. However, I had to wait a while for the bus, so it took me about an hour. Upon arrival, the landlord treated me like a king and was exceptionally helpful. I can speak Chinese, and I wouldn't recommend this hotel unless people can speak a little Chinese and can read basic sentences. The hotel is fairly basic but, as I said, the proprietors are extremely accommodating and told me to ask if I needed anything. The landlord showed me where to eat locally (and physically took me there!) and when I left, he showed me where the nearest bus stop is (photo). I couldn't make the hot water work for a shower, but had I asked I'm sure they would have sorted it. I was in a bit of a rush in the morning and I didn't want to make a fuss. The bed was hard (like I Chinese prefer) but I slept well. There was no kettle in the room, but boiling water was provided. The area is out in the country, so if you want to see how ordinary Chinese live, this is a good opportunity. City hotels are quite westernised but this place is authentic Chinese. Pictures are of the bus stop and the subway station. Although I was told that a taxi might only cost me a little over a pound."

"Cleanliness: The hygiene standards at this hotel-style guesthouse were exceptionally high. Environment: Located right by the sea, the ocean views from our east-facing window were absolutely breathtaking, especially catching the sunrise – what a thrilling experience! Service: The service was incredibly thoughtful. Before check-in, they called, we connected on WeChat, and they even set up a group chat with nine dedicated staff members who were always ready to help. The team was exceptionally attentive, always hustling and responding quickly to any requests or issues, much like caring family members. Professional Photography: The photographer was wonderfully patient; they even waited half an hour for me while I finished my meal. I felt completely comfortable selecting my photos without any pressure. I ended up choosing five extra shots, simply out of appreciation for their patience. The photo editing was quick and high-quality, and they were very accommodating about discussing color tones to ensure I was happy. Facilities: The room was fully equipped with everything I needed. The waste bins were conveniently and thoughtfully placed. I particularly appreciated their commitment to sustainability: they used eco-friendly and sustainable cotton towels, and all toiletries were biodegradable and earth-friendly 🌍. Dining: The breakfast was nutritious and healthy, with perfectly sized portions – and you could always ask for more. Their coffee was also Instagram-worthy! We found their group dining package to be incredibly good value. Plus, if you couldn't finish your meal, the restaurant was happy to reheat it for you, which was a lovely touch and great for reducing waste. Welcome Snacks: The small welcome snacks were a truly thoughtful gesture. Thoughtful Gift Bag (Skincare): Even though I didn't personally use the complimentary gift bag containing makeup remover and skincare items, it was a very warm and considerate touch."

"The staff were very welcoming and extremely kind i loved the service and the rooms where very well maintained, thank you so much for your efforts."

"The owner and her son are very kind, helpful and did their best to help me out in everything. They clearly explained all the sightseeing places, routes, and transportations which helped me save my time and travel in the most enjoyable way. The room was very clean, quiet, and comfortable. Home-made breakfast by the owner was very delicious. Wi-fi signal was very good. The Hotel location is the best on Lao Shan Mountain. It’s exactly on the mountain walkable to Tai Qing Gong, Shang Qing Gong, and Ming Xia Dong. And only 2 minutes walk to see the sunrise. If I go back to Laoshan, I will stay here again. Thank you for taking good care of me. Highly recommended!"

"Traveling with friends, I found a random place. I didn't expect the room to be very clean and tidy, and the room is spacious. In comparison, this is the most comfortable place to live. The price is not high, and the environment is quite good."

"The front desk was upgraded for free. The triple room was small, but the price was affordable. It was not unacceptable. It only took 20 minutes to walk from Qingdao North Railway Station and 20 minutes to walk from Qingdao North Railway Station's famous car overpass. The overall traffic location is good, the living experience is in line with the price"
