"The hotel facilities are clean, well-maintained, and fully equipped. The shower water was nice and hot. The hotel's location is excellent, offering a fantastic 180-degree panoramic view. The lobby downstairs is spacious and beautifully decorated. The owner was incredibly warm and thoughtful, helping us plan our itinerary right from when we booked the room. She advised us on how to avoid wasting time traveling between the two villages on the scenic bus and even booked our bus tickets back to Guilin for the next day. After checking out, she kindly drove us to the parking lot. The rice noodles for breakfast and the bamboo chicken and rice for dinner were delicious, and we even received complimentary glutinous rice wine. Highly recommended!"

"Staying at a B&B can feel like a lucky dip, and this time, I hit the jackpot! This guesthouse is right near Observation Deck No. 1, and the owner told me all their rooms have rice paddy views – those photos below were taken from my room. You can even catch the morning mist! The owner is super nice, the room was spotless and tidy, and it even came with a washing machine."

"This place is probably as deep into Longji as you can get. We arrived on a rainy day, and the mountain paths were muddy and difficult to navigate. Luckily, the owner was incredibly helpful and even drove us up and down the steepest, most challenging part of the trail – really appreciate that! Our room had a tatami mat and floor-to-ceiling windows that looked directly onto the terraced fields. It was a shame it was so foggy and cloudy, I could only imagine the view."

"Highly recommend this guesthouse! You definitely won't regret staying here when you visit Dazhai Jinkeng Rice Terraces!! The car can drive directly to the hotel entrance, so you don't have to drag your luggage up, which is a huge plus! The entire design is natural wood, and the room facilities and toiletries are incredibly thoughtful, down to the smallest detail!! The indoor wooden floors are so clean you can roll around barefoot, making you feel right at home!!! It's perfect for families with kids. Plus, it has such great style! The kids loved catching fish in the rice paddies and the swing on the terrace. The hotel's views and location are superb! The spicy chicken was delicious, and the glutinous rice wine was excellent; the kids loved it!! The housekeeper was very attentive. We'll definitely be back next time! 👍👍👍"

"Our arrival to the village was a bit difficult and we might have been a tad grumpy after having to climb up 20minutes vertically from the bus stop to the hotel with our 2 heavy suitcases, but immediately upon arrival our mood took a 360 shift. The owner was super friendly and told us that he even tried to reach us to pick us up by car but couldn’t due to our international number. We then got a room upgrade and he showed us where we can head out to see the first sights. We originally planned to stay only 1 night, but ended up loving our stay so much that we stayed an extra evening. We had a very nice European breakfast on the hotel’s beautiful view and made friends with the local cat. All the hikes and cultural experiences around were amazing, we especially liked the Dazhai-Ping’an hike, with so many amazing sights and views along the road. Was probably the most relaxing and enjoyable 3 days in our 3 week trip in south China. At the end of our stay the owner drove us down to the bus. We would absolutely love to come back and spend a full week here in any other season."

"The room was spotless, and the balcony glass was sparkling clean. I especially appreciated the two-layer balcony door, which included a screen door. Even the disposable shower cap had a hair tie inside – such thoughtful details that made me feel so comfortable and pleasantly surprised. My long-awaited 'true-to-life' fishing experience didn't happen because I got my period on the morning we arrived at Longji. The owner said I'd need to go barefoot for fishing, and since it wasn't a warm day at all, I just didn't have the courage to get into the water barefoot. I almost cried! We had dinner, and the next day's breakfast and lunch at the guesthouse. I strongly recommend that anyone staying here avoids eating at the Jinkeng Dazhai car park – the food here at the guesthouse is absolutely delicious!!! We also had an extra person join us unexpectedly, and the owner didn't charge extra for their breakfast. The owners (I assume it's a couple) and the staff were all incredibly kind and helpful, even offering directions proactively. All in all, it was absolutely wonderful!"

"This is hands down the best homestay I've ever experienced! The hosts (the owner and his wife) are incredibly kind and welcoming. My suitcase had become exceptionally heavy after several days of travel and shopping. Without a moment's hesitation, even in the pouring rain, the owner single-handedly carried it up multiple flights of stairs. I was deeply touched by his incredible effort; it was genuinely hard work. Dinner was a heartwarming experience, shared with their entire family, and their children were absolutely adorable. The hosts are genuine, hardworking individuals from an ethnic minority group, dedicated to running their homestay with integrity and care. No matter what needs or concerns arose during my stay, the hosts enthusiastically went above and beyond to assist, genuinely caring for every guest. This is something I experienced firsthand. Finding such a wonderful place and meeting such kind-hearted people is truly a lucky and heartwarming part of any journey. This review reflects my honest opinion; if you're reading it, you can book this place without a second thought. The scenery, needless to say, is absolutely stunning, and the location is equally superb. So, when comparing similar value for money, I chose an environment that offered more warmth and positive energy. Encountering such fortunate and heartwarming people and experiences during a tiring journey truly re-energizes us, empowering us to face life with renewed strength and diligence. I believe this is precisely the meaning of why we embark on journeys! I am just an ordinary traveler, and I wrote this review purely out of gratitude for the profound kindness and genuine sincerity I encountered. I generally rarely write reviews. I've even specially included a photo with the host family, hoping everyone will support their business. There haven't been many tourists lately, but my experience was absolutely phenomenal."

"The B&B is located in Tiantou Village in the middle of the mountain, between the No. 2 Observation Deck (thousand-story ladder) and the highest No. 1 Observation Deck (Xishan Yule), while the No. 3 Observation Deck (Golden Buddha Summit) is on the opposite mountain. Walk to the No. 2 Observation Deck for about 15 minutes and go to the No. 1 Observation Deck for about 20 minutes. It is far away to go to the No. 3 observation deck, and you can also go down to Dazhai and then take the cable car. There is no obstruction in front of the homestay. You can see the scenery on the big platform in front of the house or in front of the window of the room (Figure 2-Figure 5). If you want to see the large landscape terraces, you should go to the observation deck. This time the basic rainy season, sunrise and sunset, sunrise and sunset, the starry sky is soaked, but the smog is also a beautiful scenery."

"Our stay at Yundu Panjing Mountain House was absolutely incredible 🤍 The place is stunning, with breathtaking views over the rice terraces, truly a magical setting where you feel peaceful from the moment you arrive. The hospitality was exceptional. The team took such great care of us throughout our stay. They even helped us buy local rice directly from villagers and surprised us with lovely farewell gifts. Their kindness and attention to detail really made the experience special 🥹 The room was very comfortable, clean, and perfectly matched the atmosphere of the village. Waking up here surrounded by nature and incredible mountain views is unforgettable. And of course, a special shoutout to Bobo, the hotel’s mascot 🐶 the sweetest and friendliest dog, who made our stay even warmer and more enjoyable! "Absolutely fantastic stay, the owners are extremely hospitable and the food served (both the free afternoon tea and the paid dinners) is very good, also had fun dressing up in the ethnic costumes (flexible on when to borrow the costumes, I tried it on in the evening and when returning them, owner recommended holding on to them for another round of photo-taking in the morning when the light is better). Good location to start walks to the various viewpoints to see the rice terraces and also for the bus service to Dazhai."
