To my surprise, it exceeded all my expectations! Hygiene, environment, service, and facilities all scored a perfect 5, making it the highlight of my trip. 【About the Room and View】 As described during booking, I stayed in a room with club lounge access. The moment I opened the door, I was truly amazed – a huge floor-to-ceiling window directly overlooked Sakurajima volcano! Whether it was watching the volcano faintly appear through the morning mist or admiring the city lights come alive in the evening, this view was absolutely breathtaking. The room's interior design was modern and simple with excellent natural light. Staying in such a spacious environment by myself instantly lifted my spirits. 【About Facilities and Service】 As someone meticulous about details, the hotel's cleanliness put me completely at ease; every corner was spotless. - Gym: The equipment was new and comprehensive. Running on the treadmill while enjoying the view outside made the workout feel effortless. - Club Lounge: This was a major highlight of my stay! The environment was elegant and quiet, offering not only comfortable sofa areas for relaxing and reading but also dedicated dining areas and a bar. For a solo traveler like me, it provided both a sense of social security and the freedom of personal space. 【Highly Recommended: Natural Onsen and Foot Bath 🛁】 This was definitely the biggest bonus of my stay! The hotel has its own natural onsen, which is a savior for travelers who have been walking all day. The most thoughtful touch was the outdoor foot bath. If you're traveling alone like me or are a bit shy about public large onsens, this foot bath is absolutely perfect! Sitting on the wooden steps, soaking your feet in the warm spring water, and looking up at the indoor garden scenery – the feeling of relaxation is truly indescribable. You get to enjoy the healing benefits of the onsen without any awkwardness, offering maximum privacy! 【In Conclusion】 If you're traveling to Kagoshima alone or looking for a place to relax and enjoy the scenery, the Sheraton Kagoshima is definitely worth a second visit. Direct access from JR Station, super convenient. Plenty of shops and restaurants nearby, and a great selection for breakfast! Self-service luggage storage makes everything so easy. I highly recommend the conveyor belt sushi inside the station!

The hotel is centrally located near Tenmonkan shopping area, around 2-3 bus stops away from Kagoshima-Chuo station. (May take a while to walk) The room is comfortable and clean, and room space is surprisingly decent for 2 ppl with opened luggage. Wifi signal is not the strongest but acceptable. There's also public onsen available which is good

The location is great, right in front of the tram stop, and there are many good restaurants nearby. The public bath is also a nice touch for unwinding after a long day. I booked a twin room, and as expected for a Japanese business hotel, it was small. I had to open my suitcase near the entrance as there wasn't a separate luggage rack. On the second floor, there's a reception area where you can enjoy unlimited coffee and other drinks. While the amenities aren't extensive, they are well-stocked at the reception. There's also a gym, and the breakfast restaurant offers a fantastic view, especially for catching the sunrise over Sakurajima in the morning.

The hotel is about a 5-minute walk from Tenmonkan. The ground floor features a lobby, and a restaurant further inside, which seemed very popular with locals in the evenings. If I revisit Kagoshima, I'd definitely like to try their food. My room was on the 5th floor and I appreciated how spacious it was. I found the flyers for local events posted in the elevator very useful; thanks to them, I even got to see a signed Shohei Ohtani ball! :)

Make sure to book Banvina Coffee in advance, otherwise you might end up like me, walking to the back door thinking it was closed. If you want a convenient location, this is definitely the place. It's very close to the central station, less than a 10-minute walk. The café downstairs has great taste; hotel guests get a free coffee every day, which is fantastic! The receptionist, although her English wasn't very good, was very cute ☺️ She even turned on the lights and air conditioning before check-in. The hotel is really generous. The environment looks quite clean overall. I would definitely choose this place again if I have the chance to go to Kagoshima again.

Slightly dated hotel but very value for money; Hotel staff were very helpful and professional; Room has proper desk to work with (and LAN port); Room wifi was okay; Has a decent public bath; Location is a 10minute walk down the road from the busy tenmonkan street where all the food and activities happen (or 1 tram stop away); It’s also 3 tram stops away from main train station kagoshimachuo. Located at the intersection of 2 tram lines, which can be convenient when getting back to the hotel (just need to get the tram direction correct)

The location was fantastic! It was right near Kagoshima Chuo Station, and I could even walk to Tenmonkan! There were lots of bars and pubs nearby, which was fun! 🥰 The staff were generally good, but the woman who checked me in seemed a bit upset, almost as if she was angry about something I'd done. It was a little disappointing. 😿 The retro-style interior was interesting!

Very close to Kagoshima Chuo, cozy, everything is there. A towel costs 100 yen, bunk beds; closed with a curtain, has its own kitchen, dining area. Bath and shower are normal. I really liked the location, the staff. Everything is great for unpretentious tourists. Good luck!
