"It's rather old. The main issue is that the photos make it seem like there's a sofa and a bed, but the bed is actually a pull-down wardrobe bed with the sofa cushions removed. The air conditioner is very loud, and the sea view is obstructed."

Kauai Shores Hotel

"Location: Conveniently located on the east coast, easy access to both north and south. Beach: Not well-maintained with lots of dead branches, strong waves, and murky water. However, it's a good value, and we didn't really use the hotel beach much since we were out doing activities for most of our stay. Service: Security was decent; they patrolled every night and even reminded us if our door wasn't fully closed. Accommodation: Our assigned room had a moldy smell that got stronger each day. We later realized it was an issue with the air conditioning. On our fifth night, we found several cockroaches, which led us to check out for the remaining two nights. This really impacted our overall experience. Surrounding Facilities: There's a配套广场 (integrated plaza) nearby with places like ABC for dining, which was very convenient, and also a decent Chinese restaurant. Summary: If you have a busy itinerary, this could work as a base, but don't expect too much. Make sure to check if the air conditioning has any issues. The value for money is good."

"Lovely and well manicured resort that is perfect for families...it has it all. Fun pools for kids, big plush lawns, excellent beach (swim-able, Hawaiian monk seals, turtles ), and great gym. Rooms are good size. We had 2bd/2bath with a full size kitchen, inside dinning table, and out-side dinning on our balcony. View was of manicured garden, ponds, and waterfall. Numerous out-door barbecues available, no waiting. Beach-side restaurant/bar was good. Food was reasonable and drinks were resort rates. Grand kids gave it a big thumbs-up! Staff was helpful."

"This hotel is fantastic! It's a villa-style hotel with everything you could need in the room: a washer and dryer, laundry detergent and dryer sheets, a kitchen, and a dishwasher—very convenient. The environment is also great, the pool and hot spring are nice, and the restaurant service is excellent. The food selection is average, but that's typical for white people, I guess. Overall, it exceeded my expectations, and I really enjoyed the hotel."
