"We had a one week stay on bed and breakfast basis in a HAHNENKAMM DOUBLE room with balcony and view. We had requested by email for a room on a higher floor and if possible with a walk-in shower as opposed to a shower inside a bath. On arrival we were allocated room 309 which was ok except for the bathroom and the shower inside the bath, which was so badly located it made having a shower really difficult and you have to request a shower mat, which is essential to avoid slipping. After one night and at 7am next day we requested a change of room as per our pre arrival request. The Reception Staff was extremely helpful and said that on arrival the hotel was full but she would change us that day to Room 409 (4th floor) immediately above where we were and this had a walk-in shower. This room was fine for us and had an excellent shower and also a better view. These rooms with the view are at the front of the hotel and are adjacent to the road, which is noisy with traffic in the early morning and throughout the day. The Higher Rooms on the 4th floor are the best. The Room itself and balcony are spacious and well furnished, but in the summer are hot and we had to have both windows and the balcony door open all the time. The room does not have a refrigerator and this would be useful. The Hotel charges for the coffee in the room. There is no ceiling fan or cooling equipment. We were ok with having the door and windows open but it does mean that you will hear the traffic. The Buffet Breakfast layout, choice and quality is good and the staff who are very friendly and helpful. If you would like a cooked breakfast THEN ASK one of the staff and they will arrange this for you without any problem. There was no mention of this at the table and if I had not read of this on a previous review then I would not have known of this option as there was no menu on the tables. The cooked breakfast was individually cooked and was good. All the Hotel staff were extremely helpful, friendly and welcoming, and can give you good advice for sightseeing. The Hotel is centrally located and easy to walk in into the town centre and to the cable car stations. There are many very good restaurants all around and reasonably priced so we are glad that we chose the B/B option. The Sleep quality I would say is average, and we do feel the mattress could be better. We would be happy to return to this hotel, but only to the 4th floor with a walk in shower."

"I had a wonderful long weekend during the Snow Polo World Cup, staying once again in my preferred room category at the Kitzhof. The room was cozy and perfectly aligned with my personal taste. Breakfast was excellent, complemented by truly outstanding staff. The concierge even arranged a Bentley shuttle to the polo tournament, which was an exceptional touch and very much appreciated. The team treats guests like valued friends—an experience you only find in exceptionally well-run hotels. I will most certainly be back."
