"Absolutely brilliant apartments, clean and well equipped. As a family of 3 we stayed in a 2 bedroom apartment and it was plenty big enough. Drying cabinet was excellent and so was the sauna. We were in block c which was just at the bottom of the fist hill so an excellent location. To get to the village it was a walk up a small hill and then you could do the steps (70) up to the village, or take a longer gentle walk round. We will be back loved it x Hairdryer, towels included."

"Booked to go to Ruka as a last minute decision on skiing as we weren't sure where to go this year and wanted somewhere a little different to the usual Apres ski led resorts and wow did we make a great decision!! Ruka Village was perfect for myself and my 2 grown up sons and had everything we could have wanted right on our doorstep! The apartment was a 2 bed a very spacious, had great cooking facilities and 2 large bedrooms along with all the things above and beyond what we could need (dishwasher/washing machine) and of course the compulsory sauna in the bathroom! It's less than a 2 minute walk to the lifts and right in the heart of a lovely ski resort that is more about good eating than heavy drinking and that suited us this year! The ski area is smaller than most european resorts but has quiet lifts and very well kept slopes that make the experience just as enjoyable, and with the ability to easily head back to the apartment for lunch and a sauna and then head back out as the slopes don't close until 7pm we had the most incredible relaxing ski break we have ever had! Ruka village has everything and we will be returning to experience once again the beauty of Finland!"

"We had a family room with a bunk bed that was too small for a 15-year-old. I suspected the chambermaid was on leave herself. She only visited us once in five days, even though we had filled out the form at reception indicating we wanted room cleaning. We had to request fresh towels ourselves at reception. Breakfast was good; it had everything you'd expect. Dinner was also fine, delicious, and the service was friendly."
