"It was really good to have a buffet for dinner breakfast, a dog and eat! I thought that the hot spring was just right for this number of guests, each of which was an indoor bath and an open-air bath. I wanted a chair after the sauna if I was strong. "We stayed here to celebrate my wife's birthday. We drove from Wakura Onsen in a rental car and found our way there smoothly using the car navigation system. The entrance is narrow, but the interior is spacious, divided into several buildings, as is typical of hot spring inns. Our accommodation plan included crab sashimi, grilled crab, and steamed crab. It cost about 50,000 yen per person for two people, including drinks, but we were very satisfied with the content. Unusually for this day and age, Nakai-san was assigned to each room. Although he was a foreigner, he spoke fluent Japanese and was very considerate. The hot spring was spacious, and the water was soft, allowing us to warm up at our leisure. In these days of increasing efficiency, many hot spring inns tend to offer services similar to those of business hotels, but this inn offers a glimpse of the ingenuity that goes into preserving the goodness of traditional inn service. It was a very relaxing inn for a Showa-era couple."
