When I checked in, the front desk kindly upgraded my room for free. Once inside, it was just okay; there's a food stall downstairs. It's definitely close to the sea, just downstairs. When you sleep at night, be aware. You'll see geckos on the ceiling above you. There were also some on the balcony chairs. I couldn't figure out how they got in since I pretty much kept the balcony door closed during the day. The service was good, and the shuttle bus was available for transfers anytime. Someone helped me with my luggage upon arrival. Can't complain about the service."

"This hotel has very obvious pros and cons, and my overall experience was just okay. The pros are: the rooms are very spacious with private pools, the resort grounds are well-maintained with lots of greenery, it's very quiet, and not crowded at all. It's perfect for a solo getaway. Now for the many cons: First, the cleanliness is subpar. There are an incredible number of bugs. One morning, as soon as I stepped out, I squashed a huge bug that just burst, and I stood there stunned for a long time. The hotel facilities are very old. I even found broken glass shards from beer bottles on the beach, which is unbelievable. Flies were buzzing around the bread at breakfast, and no one came to deal with them. Secondly, the service was inexplicable. When I arrived and parked my car, I waited 20 minutes for the shuttle. The butler assigned to me basically ignored my messages. Only when I checked out did he tell me he was on night duty for the past few days – so frustrating. During room cleaning one morning, they folded two of my three shirts. What does that even mean? None of the hotel staff showed any proactive service, and they were all grinning, which made me doubt if they've had proper training. Finally, the hotel's location is very remote. There are no streetlights outside the resort, so you definitely need to drive yourself to get there. I definitely won't be coming back."

We didn't get a chance to try many of the hotel's facilities due to time constraints, but they extended our check-out to 4 PM, which was a huge bonus! Highly recommend."

"An absolutely terrible stay! 1. When checking in, I asked about upgrading my room for an extra fee, but was told there were no rooms available. Coincidentally, the next day, my child's nap was disturbed by construction noise upstairs. The butler immediately informed us that a room of the type we inquired about was now free and we could get a free upgrade right away. Funny how a day earlier it was fully booked, but as soon as there was a problem, a room magically appeared. What a coincidence. 2. The solutions offered for the construction noise during nap time included a room upgrade and free breakfast. However, since we were traveling with a child and already had our itinerary planned, these solutions weren't really what we needed. The hotel then offered an 80% discount on the night's room rate, which was less than 600 RMB. How generous. 3. After I declined their compensation offer, no one bothered to follow up. I asked Trip.com to help communicate, and they were also told that the hotel's final offer was a free breakfast and an 80% discount on the night's room rate. The hotel's attitude was that they weren't willing to discuss it further. How unyielding. 4. Throughout the entire communication process, different hotel staff members gave inconsistent information. I won't list all the discrepancies. If you wanted to speak to a specific department, either they were stuck in the South Wing and couldn't come back, or they were off for the 'Dragon Head Raising' holiday on the second day of the second ***** month. Basically, no one was ever around when you needed them. If you had a problem, it was always a phone call, never an in-person meeting. Very convenient. 5. Around 1 PM, I took my child to the pool for a swim and asked a staff member for towels. I was told they were out and to wait. I waited for nearly half an hour, and no one came, so I had to take my child back to the room. Truly speechless. 6. There were bloodstains on the pillows in the room, and no one replaced them from the day we checked in until we checked out. 7. I went to use the blue 'sleep well' pillow in the room and found it had an odor. It seems it wasn't replaced after the previous guest. 8. The hygiene conditions were concerning. All three of us experienced varying degrees of itching and developed rashes. Given the unpleasant communication before, I didn't bother wasting more time with the staff. We were there to enjoy ourselves, and didn't have time to waste on arguing. All in all, it was a very, very poor stay, and I will not be coming back."

"Our stay at Capella Sanya unfortunately coincided with Typhoon Maysak, but it didn't dampen our spirits at all. We thoroughly enjoyed a peaceful and secluded getaway. The hotel is nestled in Tufu Bay, and its iconic stargazing dome creates a wonderfully atmospheric setting with stunning light and shadow play. The Lè Shuǐ Residence is spacious, and the bedding is comfortable. The daily mini-bar selection is generous; a small suggestion would be for the hotel to perhaps replace some of the carbonated drinks with more child-friendly options. The afternoon snacks and evening cocktail ritual added a touch of ceremony, and the breakfast offered a wide variety of choices. During our stay, we tried both the Thai restaurant and the Lan Ting Chinese restaurant, and both offered excellent food, ambiance, and service. The travel photography experience was also a nice touch. All in all, staying at Capella is a great way to escape the hustle and bustle, perfect for relaxing and unwinding – a truly healing vacation experience. I especially want to thank Luna, our cultural tourism butler, for her attentive and thoughtful 24-hour service. Her overall service was meticulous and gentle, always accommodating our requests, and she even prepared a thoughtful farewell gift!"

"Overall, this is one of the best hotels I've stayed at in Hainan, comparable to the Park Hyatt Sanya Sunny Bay. **Facilities:** The public areas are beautifully landscaped, and the gate separating the resort from the beach ensures privacy. We stayed in a room with a pool, and even though it's connected to a few neighboring units, there's still a good sense of separation. This room type is fantastic, and I highly recommend upgrading to it; our kids absolutely loved it. The gym is also the most comprehensive I've ever seen, and all other facilities are generally excellent. **Cleanliness:** No need to elaborate here; I didn't encounter any unclean areas. **Environment:** The landscaping and lawns are meticulously maintained, clearly showcasing the hotel's high quality. The breakfast selection is extensive and commendable. **Service:** Our overall stay was excellent, and the service was definitely a highlight. From the pre-arrival coordination to assistance during our stay, our butler Chloe handled everything wonderfully. She even arranged an airport transfer for us on relatively short notice. My wife and daughter both said they want to come back again, and our expectations are very high for our next visit. One area that could be improved is the children's activities; enhancing the play area and the activities offered would make it even better."
