"Spectacular!!! The place is magical, the service is outstanding, and the rooms are perfect—spacious, spotless, clea, and, being set on a hill, they offer wonderful views over the village. The staff are incredibly kind and attentive; they genuinely enjoy helping and making the experience feel truly special. The breakfast is delicious, and upon arrival you’re welcomed with pastries, coffee, and fresh fruit. On some evenings, there are traditional singing performances at the hotel, and the team is always available on WeChat to assist with anything you might need. Truly, a place I would remember again and again!"

"I had an absolutely wonderful stay at this homestay and can recommend it wholeheartedly. From the very beginning, the hospitality was exceptional. The owner picked me up from the railway station, which was included in the price. Even more impressively, they also drove me back to the station when I left, completely free of charge and purely out of kindness. When I realized that I had accidentally booked a room with a tatami mattress that was too firm for my liking, they immediately offered me an upgrade to a different room for free. The owner went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable throughout my stay. She provided all the information I needed, was always happy to help and even invited me to join them for a meal. Her English is excellent, which made communication effortless and made me feel especially welcome as an international traveler. The homestay itself was clean, comfortable and well-equipped, but what truly sets this place apart is the warmth, kindness and generosity of the hosts. They made me feel less like a customer and more like a guest in their home. Thank you for such a memorable experience. I would gladly stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting the area."

"Ωραίο δωμάτιο και ωραία θέα από το δωμάτιο του ξενοδοχείου μας, που ήταν ένα από τα υψηλότερα σημεία του χωριού Ζάο Σινγκ Ντονγκ. Το ξενοδοχείο παρείχε δωρεάν υπηρεσία ανάκτησης στο κοντινό σταθμό του Cong Jiang HSR και μας έστειλε εκεί για να συνεχίσουμε το ταξίδι μας στο Chong Qing μέσω του HSR. Το πρωινό ήταν καλό και μας έδωσαν λουτέ εκτός από το κινέζικο τσάι. Χρειαζόμασταν να πληρώσουμε RMB80 ο καθένας για τα τέλη εισόδου μας στο χωριό Ντονγκ. Υπήρχε μια φιλοξενούμενη φυλετική εκπομπή που ήταν δωρεάν, καθώς και μια συμπληρωματική εκπαιδευτική συνεδρία τραγουδιού από την φυλή Ντονγκ."

"A perfect weekend getaway from the bustling city. Tucked away in the mountainous countryside of Guizhou, Zhaoxing Dong Ethnic Minority Village in only three hour ride via high speed train from Guangzhou. The village is quite developed, offering shuttle service to and from the railway station for 10RMB each way. You can also arrange a private ride for 50RMB into the village. The village entrance fee allows 6 days of access into the village for 80RMB. I chose to stay at the Comfort Zhaoxing Inn next to the canola fields, away from the main attractions for a quieter stay. I can see swallows swooping, bugs chirping, and frogs croaking in the fields. My room has floor to ceiling windows offering great views of the mountains, fields, and rice terraces. Remote villages in the mountains are also visible. The inn is ran by a friendly couple. They offer sumptuous breakfast with generous portions. They picked up and assisted with my luggage at the village shuttle station. The village itself is for pedestrian only. They offer complimentary shuttle services every 15-20 minutes that makes various stops if you don’t feel like walking. It was relaxing to stroll along the river and around the village. Instead of taking a shuttle (20RMB round trip) to the rice terraces of TangAn Village, I took the trail that the locals used for centuries before shuttles were available. The trail was paved, crossing creeks, winding through the mountains and rice fields for 7.5km with an elevation gain of about 1,000 meters. The views were spectacular and the food were amazingly delicious and very affordable. I used Zhaoxing Village as a hub for accessing other remote villages. Shuttle buses offering two departures to Huanggang, Basha ethic villages (about an hour ride). Though if there is not enough passengers, they may cancel the service. My stay was memorable, and I plan to go back when the canola flowers are blooming."

"The hotel is just 5 meters from the entrance to the scenic area's village gate. There are welcoming ceremonies at the gate in the morning and afternoon. The hotel provides a shuttle service, which was very convenient for me with two children. We arrived during the Grain Rain Festival, which was very lively. The room was relatively small, but it had a small balcony with lush greenery. The sounds of insects and frogs filled the air morning and evening, a rare moment of relaxation. What impressed me most was the simplicity and warmth of the people. After the fish-catching activity, the hotel staff busied themselves contacting the restaurant so the children could catch fish nearby. They got covered in mud but had a great time. They even helped book a bonfire party. The little ones collected a bag of candy, proudly showing off their spoils. They tried sweet wine for the first time, jumping around with the crowd – simple joy."

"We had a wonderful stay at this hotel in Zhaoxing. The service was excellent — the staff kindly helped us arrange transfers to and from the hotel, which made the trip much easier and stress-free. They also gave us very useful recommendations about what to see and do in Zhaoxing. Zhaoxing itself is a beautiful place — perfect for relaxed walks, with many cozy cafés and small restaurants to explore. One thing I highly recommend is taking the local bus (it’s very inexpensive) to Tang’an Village. The view from the mountain over the rice terraces is absolutely stunning and definitely something you should not miss. Also, the hotel owners have a lovely restaurant nearby where they serve delicious homemade food. We ate there and really enjoyed it — highly recommended if you stay here. Overall, a fantastic experience with warm hospitality. We would happily stay here again!"
