We stayed in room 1303, which offered a view of the Grand Lisboa. There's a mini-mart downstairs and a bus stop just a hundred meters away. The shower had great hot water and strong pressure, but the hotel doesn't provide hand soap, so you'll need to bring your own.

Communication gap: During check-in, I proactively asked about birthday amenities, and the front desk verbally stated that the ”room had already been specially decorated.” Customer Service Responsiveness & Crisis Management: ⭐️ (1/5) Broken promise: Upon checking in, I found that the room had absolutely no decorations. Passing the buck and insensitive remarks: When I called customer service to inquire, they first claimed it was an ”oversight,” and then blurted out: ”It's so late now, you wouldn't need decorations, would you?” After I confirmed that I did, they bluntly stated they were understaffed and ”couldn't do anything.” Compensation: Ultimately, I only received a supermarket voucher worth 30 MOP as compensation, which felt very insincere and left the birthday celebrant quite disappointed. 💡 Summary and Recommendation Pros: The room hygiene is good, and the infinity pool is outstanding. This is my third stay here, and each time I've stayed for two nights. The service staff and bellhops are consistently excellent. Hotels on the mainland really have a lot to learn from Macau in every aspect. The mini-fridge in the room is fully stocked with drinks, snacks, red wine 🍷, and coffee beans – all complimentary. (Though the manual coffee grinder needs replacing; it can't grind the beans into powder). When we checked out, we had a lot of luggage, and the manager even helped us call a taxi 🚕.

One of the highlights of my stay was having the pool almost entirely to myself, which made the experience feel especially private and relaxing. Overall, it was a lovely stay, and I would happily consider returning in the future.

The room was quite spacious, especially the bathroom, which had a bathtub, a shower, and still plenty of room. The air had a slightly musty smell, but it was tolerable! The service attitude was similar to what you'd find in China, with very polite greeters! There wasn't much for breakfast, and many places nearby only opened at 10 AM, though there were a few 24-hour shops. The restaurant downstairs closed at 10:30 PM! There's no **car**, but there's a bus stop nearby. If you're not familiar with the area, you won't know how to take the bus. The first time I hailed a taxi, it was quick, but after that, I couldn't get one for over ten minutes! It's more affordable on weekdays, but a bit expensive on Saturdays!

I've stayed at the Rio Hotel many times, and it's always been perfect. In Macau, where real estate is so expensive, the room rates here are incredibly affordable, which is a huge plus. The surrounding area is also very convenient, with plenty of dining options; there's a Cafe de Coral downstairs and a supermarket right across the street. It's also not far from the casinos, about a 5-8 minute walk. The rooms are really spacious, which I truly appreciate. I love this hotel; at the very least, I can sleep soundly without feeling cramped.
