"Loar has three kinds of accommodation - hotel/suites in one building and apartments and studios is the adjoining building. The buildings are seamless on he ground floor but separate lifts service the two buildings. We stayed in a one bedroom apartment which has a balcony big enough for two chairs so great for looking at the comings and goings of locals and their families and what was going on in the square. The 12 apartments have outward facing balconies whereas the studios face the rear. I think it is worth the extra cost to have an apartment as we spent a fair amount of time just enjoying the atmosphere of the town. I don't know about the hotel rooms as we much prefer the space of an apartment and the flexibility to cook our own meals and snacks. The apartment was clean, comfortable and well equipped. The highlight was the roof terrace with views, loungers, lovely pool and jacuzzi. There is also an indoor heated pool which was a bit awkward to access as unless the restaurant was open the only way in was via a spiral fire escape. Being able to choose which pool you fancied was a real treat and we mostly had the roof terrace to ourselves. The town itself had no real must-sees for tourists but it was a convenient base to explore the island. Although Loar does not offer parking we always found a space within a few minutes' walk. There are enough places to eat and drink with three decent sized supermarkets, a butcher and fishmonger if you wanted to cook. The apartment facilities made this easy. It is quite surprising to have such a large establishment in an inland town but it seemed quite busy and the bar & restaurant were popular. I certainly recommend Loar and Ferreries. Staying in a central town worked well for us. Don't hesitate to stop at a cheese producer, signposted everywhere. Mahon cheese is excellent."

Thats it .what makes this hotel by a long shot is alllll the staff . From reception to dining to cleaning and bar just fantastic .... the most happiest people that love their work . Entertainment girls are fantastic. Cleaners big shout out amazing. Beautiful cove beach on doorstep. "Although the apartments may be somewhat dated inside, they have everything you need for a vacation. Some kitchenware could be missing, but if necessary, it's no problem to ask at reception, where they are extremely friendly and helpful. The building is very quiet. The pool isn't very large, but more than adequate since it's almost empty most of the day, with all the sun loungers and bathrooms free. The air conditioning works perfectly, achieving the desired indoor temperature, which isn't always easy. Cleaning and replacing towels every two days is appreciated. Conveniently located between Cala Blanca and Cala Sant Adrià, although any location is good in Menorca, as exploring is a pleasure. Shopping and dining areas are very close by. As I mentioned, the staff is very attentive."

"I decided to treat my daughter to a spa treatment during our visit to Mahon. I’ve been to a fair few spas in my time, but nothing has ever come close to the absolute perfection of the Illa Spa. Firstly, the women who gave us our massages were fantastic. You can tell when someone is just going through the motions of giving a massage, but I really felt like everything was being done with the utmost care and regard by my masseuse and it was by far the best massage I’ve ever had. The facial was equally good, and we were both blown away by how wonderful we felt at the end of it. We were led down to the spa, which is in a spectacular vaulted rock cavern under the hotel. It was incredible, but none of the photos I’ve seen can really do it justice. We spent a happy hour there, and felt completely rejuvenated at the end of it. If you want to pamper yourself in a place of beauty and serenity, then the Illa Spa is the place to go, I’m retuning next year with both of my daughters and we cannot wait."

"Long review, but detailed... When we arrived, we were very well received by the receptionist. Unfortunately, we do not remember his name and that was the only positive part of our short but stressful stay. When we got to the room the incidents began, the first thing we noticed was a strong smell and sensation of humidity, which we let pass, since they had placed an air freshener right at the A/C outlet, something strange, but as mentioned we let it pass. When using the shelves for our clothes, we realized that the cleaning was not up to what we expect for the price paid, since we found a used vaper from the previous guest, shelves were dirty and also the floor, something you don’t expect but still we didn’t say anything. When we wanted to use our private pool we noticed that water was very dirty, so we went to the reception to inform it (on the way we saw that other pools in other rooms were clean and others dirty). Unfortunately, when we spoke with reception, the Manager (Not Spanish) approached and told us that it was because of the dirt in the environment and that it had surely been cleaned days ago and that was why; he said they were going to empty the pool and fill it up again (in an effort to make us feel guilty about wasting water). Again we let it go and we couldn't use the pool until almost night, which is not fair, but again we did not say anything and tried to understand that some things can happen. At this point I did not understand how they couldn't guarantee quality to a guest arriving at the hotel paying more than 500€ per night for 2 people and also not paying attention to these details, but as we do not usually complaint, we still thought that we could manage this and try to enjoy. When we got into bed, I noticed that the pillow was wet and I thought it was because of the humidity, but it was really wet and I don't know if water entered the room because of the rain the day before or the same morning, again we said nothing, because we understand that there are details that can happen; However, for a hotel with this price, it shouldn't. I just put the pillow aside on the floor and took a nap. When we arrived for dinner, we wanted to have dinner in the area where the trees were, but unfortunately there was a family with children running and screaming everywhere and occupying that area (no other hotel guest dined in that area that night), several guests (including us) commented on it, but nothing was done. In an exchange with emails later, after we had left the hotel, they confirmed that it is a common practice to accept children for restaurant meals, which is false advertising, as this hotel sell themselves as an ADULTS ONLY hotel. The next day we woke up around 9am to take a shower, because we wanted to have breakfast and go out to see Menorca. In the middle of the shower, the water stopped coming out of the shower, we contacted reception and they told us that there was no water in the entire hotel, so that was when we"

"Located somewhat out of the center, but with good views of the harbor. The room was very, very small, with barely any room to walk between the bed and the table or the window. I had to get dressed in the hallway. The price of the room is no excuse for meeting minimum room standards. The spa was small, but enough to relax for a while. The breakfasts were phenomenal. Variety and quality. The staff was very attentive and friendly. I would definitely stay again, but in a different room."

"Nice location in the town of ciutadella. We had a suite as you get the extra outside space, large terrace with two sunbeds and a table & chairs. Nice big room. Digging up a road outside most of our stay so a little annoying when on the terrace. My worst part was on two consecutive mornings, I had ants drop into my cereal bowl along with my cereals, they obviously lived in the cereal dispenser. I left them both mornings and didn't try again after that. Good selection of other breakfast foods though."

"We have been staying at Sagitario playa for 4 years ( 2019, 2022, 2023 ) and this year We always enjoy one of the best hotel and staff we ever seen, including this year from 7th - 16th September 2024 We would like to thank all the staff, mainly at the restaurants , the Colombian chef , Begonia and Mari at reception However this year wasn't the same room as every year, and NOT sure we will be back next year, as every year we get room 137, 237 . I always say in business that costumer is first and easy to keep a regular costumer BUT difficult to get new costumer my feed back comments as follow: 1- Despite sending a few emails requesting a nice room, similar the year before, we have been allocated a room with the street view, as have vertigo problem with road noisy , I had stated that to the receptionist, she wasn't friendly with us, and after loooong persuasion we have given room 001. 2-Room 001 toilet seat hinge was broken ,the shower leak water at the floor and ventilation to the bathroom apart from opening the window. 3- As the room at ground floor, we cant open the window, as flies enter the room 4- A few occasion we see and heard kids at our back window and front noisy coming from the back house/enter to the to the hotel. 5- On 11th September there was building work to next room 002 , for the door and we couldn't relax at all. walking from /to the room from the main building , the ground is full of birds dirt. The above is to bring to your attention , and we never had such experience in the previous year we always want a relax peaceful room for our wedding anniversary, and every year we get a congratulation card from the hotel , and despite indicated that in my emails , we got nothing this year!"

"2nd visit to the Menorca mar and even better than the first. We love the peace and tranquility of this place . The staff are amazing and the whole place immaculate. Beds are comfy with air con in the room . This works so well you never feel hot. Kitchen has everything you need. Fridge with ice compartment, 2 hob rings a mini oven . The pool area is is amazing . Lots of sun beds ( despite a couple of reviews saying otherwise ) there are enough for each guest . Parasols and tables too. The marina is only 15 minutes away with lots of restaurants mall of which are good. Hotel food also very good. Good gym. Check in quick and professional. We will be back for a 3rd visit soon"
