"Μου έδωσαν ένα μικρό μονόκλινο δωμάτιο, το οποίο ήταν διαφορετικό από αυτό που είχα κλείσει. Δεν υπήρχε προσωπικό εκτός από το WhatsApp (ήταν Κυριακή όταν έφτασα). Απάντησε γρήγορα. Στην αρχή είπε ότι έκανα λάθος, αλλά όταν έδειξα τις φωτογραφίες από το δωμάτιο που είχα κλείσει, μου έδωσαν το σωστό δωμάτιο. Καλό επίσης που το 1ο δωμάτιο δεν είχε θέρμανση, παρόλο που η κάρτα είχε εισαχθεί στον πίνακα ελέγχου. Έκανα check-in μόνος μου σε νέο δωμάτιο και έπρεπε να πάρω το νέο κλειδί. Μηδενική ανθρώπινη επαφή. 2ο δωμάτιο - Τεράστιο δωμάτιο αλλά εξαιρετικά κρύο. Το δάπεδο είχε όμορφα πλακάκια αλλά παγωμένο. Το ξενοδοχείο δεν παρείχε παντόφλες. Η τουαλέτα ήταν πολύ μικρή. Το μπιντέ έφραζε την πόρτα του ντους. Έπρεπε να είμαι πολύ προσεκτικός, αλλιώς μπορεί να πέσω! Η τοποθεσία είναι ίσως το μόνο θετικό πράγμα σε αυτό το ξενοδοχείο. Το προσωπικό στο check-out ΔΕΝ είναι προσανατολισμένο στον πελάτη."

Vittoria - House of Charme

"We only stayed in Messina overnight and needed a clean and comfortable place prior catching the ferry to Reggio Calabria next morning. Vittoria House of Charme was better than we’d imagined. We were warmly greeted by our host who proudly showed us around. Slept soundly in one of the most comfortable beds of this trip! Breakfast served by the lovely Mary was great by Italian standards. It included boiled eggs, cheeses, good bread, lettuce, olives, tomatoes, pastries and excellent coffee (we don’t eat meat). Very grateful to have some savoury options. Mary kindly organised a taxi to the ferry for us after breakfast. Not much was open nearby on the Sunday night we were there. We were lucky to find somewhere to eat within a 15 minute walk."

Re Vittorio de Luxe

"Terrible experience. When we got to the room there was hair all around the bathroom as if someone had just shaved there. Along with mosquitoes that had been squashed into the wall and left. In the morning we were woken up by loud drilling which caused the room to shake and continued until after we left at around 10 am. It was not possible to stay in the room as the noise was ridiculously loud. This also happened on the second day of our stay as well and likely continued after we left. Additionally the paint on all the walls was scratched and the plug socket came out of the wall when we unplugged are chargers. The breakfast was also not very nice. When we applied for a refund we were denied even with video and photographic evidence. I would not recommend this hotel at all and I also would not recommend Trip as they were very unhelpful when it came to helping me get a refund and constantly asked me to wait until a certain time and then never replied at this time and I had to constantly chase them up on things."

Europa Palace Hotel

"The hotel is situated slightly outside the city centre. It offers a friendly atmosphere with a very accommodating Staff. It encompasses a restaurant with decent food and a bar for those who are interested in a late evening or afternoon drink. despite that our room needed some extra attention it was nice and had everything needed. The only thing we missed was our own coffee maker. On the other hand we just have to go down to the lobby ask for a double espresso. Despite being located close to a busy street, we were not disturbed. One of the really good features for this hotel is there gated parking supervised by CCTV. Access to the Estrada was easy and took approximately 5 to 10 minutes. Not a good thing with this hotel it is that it is located close to several gas stations offering you an opportunity filling your tank before continuing your journey."

"The room is large, and the ventilation system is good. The host is very helpful and will tell you how to access to the building step by step by phone call. You can also contact her via WhatsApp. Overall it’s good with its location, as it’s located in the city center with a walkable distance to restaurants and train station. However, if you afraid of hot, the room isn’t suitable for you as they don’t have AC. But two fans are in the room which is also ok for us as it’s windy. It’s a shared bathroom apartment, but overall the bathroom is clean because two rooms share one bathroom which is also okay. They will clean the bathroom every morning so overall it’s not bad!"

"Felt a bit dodgy when checking into B&B they wanted me to what's app message them for details of how to check in and provide credit card details. And then on check in no one greeted me even though they buzzed me in , it felt very uncomfortable. Probably won't use again"
