Pros: 1. Excellent location - close to bus/tram stop to Venice, 3 minutes walk (tickets can be bought at the hotel reception). Also around a lot of cafes, convenient. 2. The rooms are pleasant, there is a refrigerator, air conditioning 3. The hotel is small, it was quiet Cons are not critical, but still: 1. There are no screens on the windows, we were bitten by mosquitoes 2. The air conditioner is very old and noisy, even at minimum power. But we slept with him, we got very tired during the day in Venice) 3. The shower door does not close completely 4. We missed a kettle in the room

The hotel is situated at an ideal location, right in the heart of the city. Access to public transportation, such as buses and trams, is only a short 5-10 minute walk away from the hotel. The Marco Polo airport is easily accessible within 15 minutes via public transportation, as is the old city of Venice. With frequent transportation options available, this is a great location. While the rooms may be slightly old-fashioned, they are still comfortable for those wishing to rest and enjoy breakfast before heading out for the day. The staff were friendly and Lorenzo, in particular, was especially helpful and accommodating. He went the extra mile to ensure my stay was comfortable, even arranging a specific breakfast for me during Ramadan. Overall, the price for the hotel was more than reasonable.

I visited with my husband for a couple of nights. The room is basic, but more than adequate. However this was made up for by the lovely staff - nothing was too much trouble, even when our plane was diverted and we arrived at 3am, some 6 hours late! We had an excellent breakfast in the garden which was a delight, especially the fragrance of the jasmine growing there. The icing on the cake was the number 2 bus outside the door takes you straight into Venice! Don’t just base yourself there for Venice, go to Mestre, lovely & laid back - perfetto!

Sara at the front desk helped exponentially in many facets and always in a professional friendly manner. The breakfast kitchen staff attends and provides royalty service experience. Just a 15 minute slow walk to the train station and just a few blocks from many bus stops More than anything else is this... I have traveled nearly the world , my 4 day's in Venice is part of a 44 day personal vacation and understand the importance of do and don't expectations when booking online. The location of the Hotel is a plus, because it is near bus stops and a few minutes walk from the train station going to Venice proper. The breakfast buffet was okay, could add more choices but nonetheless we enjoyed our stay. Kudos to the night shift receptionist (forgot his name) who was very helpful and was able to book us a taxi for our early morning flight. Would definitely recommend 👍

Purchased a last minute wowcher Holliday, including the hotel San Carlo, Mestre, Venice. As it wasn’t a bank breaking trip, we didn’t really expect much from the hotel, but upon arrival, we were greeted by lovely staff, a clean, large size room with good facilities. Staff were very helpful with transportation and information of the city. Hotel is located perfectly, 20 mins from the airport (£8pp bus ride) and a 5 minute walk away from the tram to take you to and from the heart of Venice (£3 return pp). Couldn’t fault it, will definitely be using again.
