"I picked this hotel because of its reasonable price and its central location, about a 10-minute walk from the train station, and a 10-minute walk to the bus station in the opposite direction. I liked it. It's on a small street just off Piazza Matteotti. You have to climb a flight of stairs to get to the reception area (there's a light switch to your right inside the door). There was another flight of stairs up to my very comfortable and modern room. This hotel has a hipster ambiance, but don't let that deter you if you are, like me, an older independent traveler. (I had an amusing conversation with the owner when I asked him to point out the bus station on a map he provided, and he told me where a travel office was so I could book an excursion. I told him that I just wanted to take a regional bus to Ragusa, Scicli and other local towns, and I thought to myself, "Do I look that old?") He and the staffers were pleasant and very helpful, giving me advice about sights to see and places to eat. Don't expect to always see someone in the reception area. If you don't plan to check in during the regular time (between 4 p.m. and 9 p.m.), make sure you let them know. They may charge extra for that. The location is excellent, right off the main street in Modica and very walkable to many of its best attractions and also best places to eat, including the focacceria of Don Puglisi (which, unfortunately, was closed for vacation when I was there)."

"Words can't describe how much I enjoyed staying here! First the hotel's staff was really helpful and kind. I enjoyed talking with them, especially with the french lady who was working Saturday. Since I was the only guest there, she kept me company and we had a really nice conversation. About the rooms...mine was a one-bedroom room, relatively small but enough for one person. Both the room and the bathroom were really clean. In the room there are a mini-fridge, a tv, a kettle and a few amenities in the bathroom. About breakfast... Salty and sweet food are both available and the man who works in the kitchen is really nice and professional."

"We stayed for 10 days in this fabulous BeB, which is then actually like being at home. Giusy and Piero, managers. Giusy, thank you for your very good cakes. Piero thank you for sympathy. You will always be in our hearts. What to say about them. The most beautiful, fantastic, discreet people. Eat well, and all the people meeting in these 10 ggs, sympathetic and sympathetic Sicilians. If you want peace and relax, you will find it here at Giogaia. There is the distance from the sea, OK, 25km in Modica Marina,Of course a few more km to visit other countries:Noto, Marzamemi, Pozzallo, Scicli, Ragusa Ibla, then what about Ortigia? Stupenda!!! It was worth it. Beautiful beaches, little crowded. We have had a nice holiday in all senses. We recommend the Beb Giogaia at 100x100. There would still be much to comment but everything we can say is closed in a Thanks of the Heart, to whom we hosted and Thanks of the Beautiful Sicily. Let's go home happy "

"Beautiful hotel in Modica - we stayed for 4 nights over Easter and the hotel, location and staff were amazing. Each room is a converted house, meaning they're individual/characterful and a real taste of Sicily. Breakfast in the garden was delicious, and the pool (just about warm in April!) was spectacular with views over the town. Modica itself is really special - and captivated us (including our 10 and 12 year old). I'd recommend Casa Talia unconditionally!"

"Stacci Rural Resort is a modern, safe, and exceptionally clean find that served as a perfect base for our six night trip to Sicily. The accommodations were well proportioned and maintained to a high standard, though most guests only stayed for a night or two. We thoroughly enjoyed the delicious daily breakfast, which featured a fantastic selection of fresh local produce. Friendly staff made us feel welcome, though it would be helpful if the bar’s daytime availability was more clearly communicated. For those staying longer, the addition of a kettle, chopping board, and knife would greatly improve simple in room meal preparation. Please note that a car is absolutely essential for staying at this beautifully presented rural retreat."

Essentially the interior has been ripped out and replaced with something ultra modern. Furnishings are cheap and cleanliness is not great (stains on the carpet and mould inThe shower). Getting a beer when we arrived was like appearing in your own episode of ‘Fawlty Towers’. The glass door to the balcony in our room was cracked.Breakfast was very simple, fruit juice served in plastic cups ( not very sustainable). However staff were really friendly. We wouldn’t return."

"We stayed in the campsite for 3 nights , with the scooter ; it is comfortable to visit Modica , Ragusa , Scicli . You can download toilet box in a toilet and load water . We usually download the grey with a vase day by day and so we didn't hear the lack of camper service . The manager is very comfortable for the needs . We were good , we sleeped quietly at night . Shopping centres at about 2.5 km"
