Solar de Vilar Seco ★★★★

📍 Rua Conde de Vilar Seco nº4, Nelas

"This is a really special place. We were sad we had only booked one night here. The staff was really friendly, the house and the garden are gorgeous. Beautifully restored, keeping the traditional look while adding modern comforts. Spent a relaxing time by the pool. Breakfast is amazing. Make sure that you check with the chef exactly what the cost of dinner would be with drinks included if you chose to eat at the restaurant. The food is great and the chef and staff really friendly, but it is not cheap so it’s best to know how much it would be up front."

Solar de Vilar Seco ★★★★
"The place is fantastic. You feel transported to another century. The house has all details of a historical residence. The bed has fantastic with pure cotton linen. Our room was very big , the same as the bathroom. The breakfast has served at the hotel restaurant “Atmosphere” was a really highlight. Also the garden is more a park , full of flowers at this time of the year"

Valverde Santar Hotel & SPA ★★★★★
"We have stayed in a few Relais & Chateau resorts in the UK and Europe, including the sister hotel Valverde in Lisbon. Our experience at Santar Valverde was exceptional and the best yet. The staff are all brilliant, friendly and professional with huge attention to detail and extra touches to make you smile. We've already made plans to visit again next year. The village of Santar itself is a true gem in the heart of Dao. ♥️ Many thanks, Dawn and Paul Allison 🙏✅"
