"First of all, the place is very big, and different accommodation units are next to each other. We arrived in the early morning that night. If it weren't for the porter's guidance, I would have gone the wrong way. There are several restaurants and swimming pools in the resort, and it is next to the beach. There is a bus terminal outside, which is very convenient to go out. Famous scenic spots and shopping centers are very close and can be easily reached on foot. The sun on the island is very strong, so you must take protective measures."

"To be honest the location of the hotel is perfect. You can stay in Palma- old city then if you have a car you can enjoy and go anywhere you want so you can both see both side old city & playas( south of the island) - when it comes to the hotel, of course they are 3 star and it was high then our expectations.. breakfast is not strong but if you want to start to the day with something more than coffee and croissants it is good.. cleanliness and amenities are good for a 3 star hotel, also thank you so much for the lady who works in night shift- she was so kind and helpful."

The room is very spacious, the two of us have anything to put, the bed is not too narrow, the bathroom is very spacious, and the cleaning is very clean The front desk is very welcoming and will say hello every time you enter or leave the hotel. There are not many types of breakfast, but there are some, fruit and meat, various bread, egg, ham, sausage, coffee juice, it is worth mentioning that there are freshly squeezed juice and yogurt, very good to drink The hotel has two terraces for sunbathing and the scenery is great. There is also a dj performance at night, but unfortunately it has not been completed. The hotel also offers free parking, which is very convenient for people who rent a car around the island. The only thing is that not all rooms are sea views. We stayed at the interior this time, but fortunately there is a terrace. "The lobby is very nice and modern, the rooms are okay, a little outdated. The shower was not very nice (a bit yellow and the water did not go down the drain properly), but the bed was comfortable. The hotel is cheap compared to other 4* hotels and it is definitely reflected in the quality. The breakfast was very nice and the staff were friendly."

"Santa Catalina Hotel is undeniably a historic architectural landmark, but as a hotel experience it fell well below expectations. On arrival, the service felt cold and somewhat pretentious rather than welcoming, with concierge staff coming across as detached and pompous rather than genuinely hospitable. A key reason for choosing the hotel was the prominently advertised rooftop pool and views, only to discover after check-in that access is restricted to suite guests. The spa is similarly limited unless you pay €15 per person for 90 minutes, which feels disproportionate given the modest facilities. These restrictions are not clearly communicated at booking and leave a sense of being misled. Several of the lounge and communal areas were also frequently reserved for corporate events and seminars, which further diminished the sense of a relaxed hotel environment. As a guest, it often felt as though you were secondary to business groups and functions moving through the space, even in more personal hotel moments such as walking through common areas in a robe. In-room entertainment is very dated, with a non–smart TV offering only basic local and satellite channels. Room service carries a €5 delivery surcharge, while on-site dining is largely limited to high-end fine dining with little casual alternative. It is also worth noting that Las Palmas sits under a noticeably less favourable microclimate than the south and west of Gran Canaria. During our stay, conditions were consistently cloudy, windy, and cool, which further limited the enjoyment of the hotel’s already restricted amenities. For those seeking reliable sun and beach weather, the southern or western parts of the island are a better choice. Overall, despite its striking heritage setting, the combination of underwhelming service, restricted access to advertised facilities, dated in-room amenities, corporate use of guest spaces, and disappointing weather made for a stay that did not feel justified by the price and is not somewhere we would return to. The atmosphere and clientele also skew noticeably toward an older demographic."
