"The staff were incredibly friendly & tentative. Had a really good bar supper. Breakfast was very good. The pool is lovely with the hot tub. The hotel in general is very tired & desperately in need of an Upgrade. Some rooms have new bathrooms. Others in need. Limited hot water in the evening we were there. Showers in the spa changing rooms waste of space - non functional. The rooms were very comfortable. No complaints at all. Good cleanliness. It’s a 3 star hotel. It’s good value for what you get where. I’d definitely go & stay there again. Manage your expectations. You’re not going to luxury. You’re going to comfortable, country hotel that needs a lot of licks of paint & modernisation. Perfectly comfortable, pleasant stay. Don’t go if you want luxury. If you want down to earth, basic but very comfortable for all needs with good facilities, this is great."

"Prices start at £4 or £5 per night... This is an old castle hotel on the west side of the Scottish Highlands. From a common area point of view everything is well done and impeccable. But from the point of view of the rooms...the price/performance ratio is obviously super low. The facilities are outdated, so I asked for a humidifier... A hair dryer that was produced 20 years ago came, which was completely unacceptable and had no humidifying effect at all. The shower room has very strict requirements on the size of the guests, and I personally feel that the water pressure can be further improved and improved. The laudable point is that the shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and soap in the bathroom...all have two ball royal certifications, and the quality is also carried. The cold and hot water device of the washbasin is a traditional separate type, which is the kind of water that you either use cold water or hot water, and it cannot be warm water anyway.
