"Novotel Sihanoukville – My Honest Review I recently stayed at Novotel Sihanoukville with my family, and unfortunately, the overall experience was below my expectations. The first issue was the hotel's policy on outside food and drinks. There is a sign clearly stating that outside food and beverages are not allowed. However, it doesn't seem to be enforced. The corridor on my floor was constantly filled with strong food smells, and even my kids' room was affected. The smell became so unpleasant that I had to request the hotel to spray the room. I also noticed that some rooms appeared to have more than five guests staying together. I'm not sure whether the hotel allows this or whether it is being monitored properly. I strictly followed the hotel policy and booked two rooms for my family, so it felt a little unfair if others were not following the same rules. As for the food, both the seafood dinner buffet and breakfast were just average. They were acceptable, but they did not meet the standard I normally expect from an Accor hotel. The room itself was comfortable enough, but the bathroom ventilation needs improvement. Whenever someone used the toilet, the smell spread throughout the entire room because the exhaust ventilation was not effective. The biggest highlight of my stay was definitely the hotel staff. Every team member I interacted with was friendly, professional, and genuinely helpful. From the reception team to the restaurant staff and the swimming pool bar crew, they consistently provided excellent service. They were the best part of our stay. One major disappointment was the swimming pool. The water did not look clean, and it discouraged me from swimming. This was something I really did not expect from a Novotel property. Overall, I left feeling that the hotel has good potential, especially because of its excellent staff, but the facilities and overall maintenance need improvement. With better enforcement of hotel policies, cleaner facilities, improved ventilation, and higher food quality, I believe the guest experience could be much better. "Apsara Resort Koh Rong is perfect for those who love a quiet, romantic escape. The atmosphere is very peaceful, especially at night, making it ideal for couples or anyone looking to truly unwind. However, if you’re after a more vibrant nightlife or lively evening vibe, I’d recommend staying at a resort located on Long Set Beach instead. The rooms at Apsara Resort are super clean and luxurious, and the quality clearly matches the higher price — you really do pay for what you get."

"The hotel hospitality was very pleasant. I had a great time with family and seeing the costal views of Sihanoukville. A much more peaceful location, I will definitely be returning back. Though I do advise anyone who’s not a late-camper to request a room away from the beach club as it could get a bit noisy until 1:30AM. Other than that, wonderful team and experience."

"I got a good offer through trip.com. For this price , I cannot complain . The room is spacious . Nice Pool area . Noise is a little issue , I could hear every word of my neighbors .I could even hear my neighbor snoring . sound isolation is very poor . one night , I guess my other neighbors complained about me , having the TV running on moderate volume , they were banging on the wall . But my TV was really not loud , no music , only watching news . Another thing is the pool area . The area is big , pool is nice and cold . Sunbeds are in the shadow though from morning until afternoon , cause the building itself is blocking the sun . And pool area should be a place to relax , enjoy peace and quiet in privacy . But there is constant coming and going of staff , using the pool area as a link from motorbike parking to hotel building . There is garbage to transport out of the building , laundry , deliveries are made through the pool area . Staff are coming and leaving . If you are lying there , belly exposed , you want to have a minimal level of privacy . But you'll have fully dressed people walking beside you every other minute . you will find no quite relaxation , the vibe feels more like a train station . The hotel should have built a separate service corridor for staff and deliveries next to the pool area .security is using the seating area next to the pool to have a long conversation on his walkie talkie . Sometimes there is music playing from the bar at the pool . But it's not that some clever mind designed a suitable playlist of background music .it seems like whoever is working at the bar can make music using their personal smartphone . Music gets stopped in the middle of a song , to chose a different song . Sometimes you hear a notification sound cause the phone received some message . The music gets turned off and and on randomly. No place to relax . The photos were taken in a time span of under 10 minutes Balcony was cleaned only once in my 3 weeks stay . For me personally no big deal , but in an hotel that charges 45$ or more , I would expect a little more care ."

"We stayed in “Eden Beach Resort” and want to share our experience. Location is good because hotel has private pier, where the boat will take you from/to Sihanouk Ville. It was comfortable. I was impressed by the hotel green area as well 🌴 The hotel has their own water purification system, we drank tasty and fresh water everyday from reusable glass bottles. Unfortunately we had some inconveniences in the hotel during our stay there. Check in was a long time. We arrived on island 11 a.m. and waited check in 4 hours, 3 p.m. When we asked about a breakfast, we were told that breakfast not included this day, although previous hotels often went to meet us, and it was pleasant. Breakfast costs 12$ per person. Breakfasts was tasty but after few days I tired from it. I would like to pay your attention with strays. Cats and dogs were in diner zone, they are they itched and got in the way. It made Unpleasant impressions. I also want to say about some disadvantages about cleaning up rooms. In the morning time, when we spent time on the beach, our room wasn’t clean. If we went to walk, we asked the staff about cleaning our room. One day we didn’t ask about cleaning and we were left without cleaning 🤷🏾♀️ There were 4 towels in the room: 2 big towels, 2 small towels, which for face and hair (I think) but we used this towels for feet because there were no extra towels. Totally staff working is good. Especially was pleasant administrator from Russian (as well as I remember Alex, but I can mistake). He helped our friends immediately (they had a problem with a safe and ordered double cleaning room because there is a lot of sand). What about attractions? The beach is good, near the hotel is clean but you should be ready for sand flyers. Oh Jesus! We were fully bited by them. Therefore our skin was swollen. At the hotel you can rent a kayak. One day we paid 5 $ per hour. Then we were explained that it is necessary to pay only if there is the queue. During check out we were waiting checking the rooms about 10 minutes. It’s not good 😁 a lot of more hotels refused this process. Our final review. Despite the some disadvantages our weekend in this hotel left a good impression. Place is beautiful, good, calm. There is a small work to improve the part of the service and cleaning, as well as control of the state of the territory and animals."
