"Great hotel. I liked everything from the room to the attitude of the staff. The room is very spacious, with a modern interior.
Everything is new and functional (without getting out of bed, you can turn on the air conditioner or close the curtains by pressing a couple of buttons). The room has a large bed with a warm blanket, a table with a sofa and panoramic windows overlooking the city.
The breakfast is delicious and hearty, the choice of dishes is quite large (I am not very good at using chopsticks, so I was pleased with the presence of forks, this is the only hotel out of ten hotels in China in which I lived, which provided them).
The staff is very helpful. The sociable and friendly hotel manager, with whom we had a very pleasant conversation. Thanks to the girls at the reception who helped me call a taxi to the train station and find a taxi in the parking lot. I arrived at the hotel at eight in the morning and was immediately checked in, which is a huge plus for the hotel (in many cases, you have to wait for the check-in time).

"If you're a frequent InterContinental Marriott member, you'll immediately feel the helplessness of the staff. The reception staff are perfectly fine, indicating the hotel owner and operator's fault. Furthermore, the prices are ridiculous. This is likely due to the current boom in cultural tourism, where hotels like these, seemingly renovated, charge 1,600, 1,800, or 2,000 yuan per room. Maintenance is also poor. Having only recently opened, the walls are filthy, and the dirt and scale in the bathroom corners are difficult to clean. They're charging chain resort prices, but in reality, they're just a nice-looking B&B. I wonder if this situation will improve. The hotel environment is quite nice, but once inside, the rooms are utterly awful; not a single spot is clean. If the price was in the 500-600 range, I might be able to tolerate it. The public areas are quite nice. The initial comment about the staff being helpless stems from two factors: a. the staff is too small, and b. the owner or operator clearly hasn't trained the staff to the standards they typically charge for rooms in the 1,000-2,000 range. There's no complete check-in process. We arrived early but received no wait time. We called three days beforehand and were told they would call us the day before to check in and check our arrival time, but we couldn't wait any longer and called back the night before. When we arrived a little after 11:00, the restaurant was using a massive blower to blow the floor, which was damp from fresh mopping. The room wasn't cleaned properly. Later, I saw the front desk lady, who looked like a supervisor, helping clean the room. They really did a great job, and one staff member even offered to help me carry my things, which was kind of nice of them. However, the operations team hasn't trained them on a better service experience. All these issues don't justify the price. If you want to check in, just go and order a coffee."

The owner's service was incredibly thoughtful and attentive. Not only did they provide convenient shuttle service to and from the scenic spots, making getting around super easy, but they also thoughtfully provided complimentary water – it's the little details that count! They were warm and patient throughout our stay. The environment was quiet and comfortable, and the cleanliness was impeccable. It offers excellent value for money. The owner’s wife is an excellent cook, and the meal portions are generous; I had to request a smaller serving as I couldn’t finish a full portion. They were attentive to my needs, ensuring I had enough to eat and advising me to avoid unsafe areas at night. On my departure day, the owner kindly drove me to the bus station and he requested the staff at the ticket counter to assist me to board the correct bus. Overall, their care adds a personal touch to my experience in Guoliang village.
