Bamboo Riverside Boutique Hotel ★★★★

"The hotel consists of bungalows. What is good is that there are bungalows like ours with two rooms, so children are separate. The size is good and the bed comfortable. The bathroom is also fine with a shower and a bath. Electricity outage can happen and there are a lot of mosquitos here, so be prepared with repellent. The pool is good - maybe it was the day but it was not as warm as the other pools we tried on the trip. The restaurant is nice as a place but disappointing as a service. The meal is prepared somewhere else and is really not good in comparison with everything we ate in Vietnam. The service is below standard - one of the boys was really trying - the others were watching their phones, instead of watching the clients. Everything was brought to the restaurant by women, who were not allowed to come to us. I had no wish to give my tip to those boys - I wish there was a way to give it to the women that did the job. Overall, the most disappointing experience. I had a massage which was nice but clearly overpriced - about 800,000 dong. At other places, you can find for half the price. I would not say it was exceptional as well but the girl was really trying hard and was very nice. Overall, a place with a lot of potential, if the management ensures that the service is good."

Απολαύσαμε την εξερεύνηση της περιοχής με ποδήλατο και ανακάλυψαν πολλά θαυμάσια τοπικά εστιατόρια. Homestay Coco Island ★★★

"We stayed at Coco Island with our family for one night and had a really nice time. We came with our two kids, and they enjoyed the place a lot. There are many trees and open spaces, so the kids had room to walk around and explore. They really liked seeing the boats on the river and walking around the coconut bridge. Our room was simple but clean and comfortable. The air conditioning worked well, which was important because it was quite hot during the day. Everything we needed for one night was there. We also had dinner at the restaurant. We tried some local food and fresh coconut. The kids were a little unsure about some of the dishes at first, but they ended up trying quite a few things. The food was good and the portions were enough for our family. The best part for us was the morning. We got up early, walked around and sat near the river for a while. It was quiet and cool. The kids were still sleepy, so we had some coffee and just enjoyed the view. The staff were friendly and helpful. Some communication was a little difficult because of the language, but they always tried to help us and we had no problem during our stay. This is not a fancy luxury hotel, so don’t expect that. We liked it because it felt more simple and local. It was a nice change from staying in busy cities. Our tip: If you are traveling with kids, stay at least one night. Don’t try to see everything in a few hours. Take your time, walk around, try the local food and spend some time by the river. The kids enjoyed it much more than we expected. We would be happy to come back if we visit the Mekong Delta again."
