"We booked this hotel out of convenience during a road trip around Germany. We were having difficulties finding a place in Hamburg and found out Schwerin has a very nice castle and is a very beautiful city off the beaten path. There isn't much around the hotel but we planned on just sleeping here. It is a very quiet location. There is plenty of parking but it is a bit tight even with the small car we had rented. The hotel had a few amenities like a business work station, big dining area, sauna and a lobby bar. We had booked a family room with a king bed and a sofa bed. The sofa bed turned out to be some sort of a single mattress which was fine because we booked for three people. The room was nice with a big TV, a couple of seating areas, plenty of lighting, a coffee station and an ironing board. We found extra pillows in the closet and they were very comfy. We had a great night's rest here and felt refreshed in the morning. The bathroom was good too with a nice shower and individual bath products for conditioner, shampoo and shower gel. They had a large bottle of body lotion too that was not strapped to the wall. The hair dryer was tucked away in the closet. The only complaint we would have for the bathroom was that the toilet button worked very inconsistently so we were not able to flush the toilet despite pushing up to ten times. The breakfast was a basic continental breakfast with a good amount of hot and cold items. They had scrambled eggs, meatballs, bread, deli meats and some breads. There were coffee machines, a juice dispenser and a selection of tea. We went around 8 am on the weekend and it was already pretty busy with limited seating but we think the day we went everyone decided to go for breakfast around the same time and leave. The chairs here are also pretty comfy and there are lots of seating options. Check in was super quick when we arrived late at night. All I had to do was sign my name and write my email to get the key cards for the room. During check out I had mentioned that the toilet in the room was not flushing properly and they had initially offered to switch me rooms but the lady at the front desk seemed to mention that there is an issue with these buttons in some of the rooms then offered us complimentary parking. We were surprised that the hotel had paid parking because of their location and from my understanding it is around 4 euros a night."

"We were very happy with our stay at this lovely hotel, set across the lake from the centre of Schwerin, with attractive views towards the Schloss and the city’s church spires. The rooms are large, comfortable and well equipped, with the added bonus of a small kitchenette. One of the nicest features is the terrace at the front of the hotel overlooking the lake and the nearby boat stop, complete with traditional German Strandkörbe (beach baskets) — a perfect spot to sit and enjoy the view. The staff are extremely friendly and the restaurant is very good, with a varied menu and plenty of choice. The whole hotel has a warm, intimate and welcoming atmosphere that makes it feel rather more personal than many larger hotels. There is also plenty of parking, and getting into the centre of Schwerin is straightforward. A very enjoyable stay and somewhere we would happily return to."

"I have stayed at this hotel under several different management companies over the years. Overall, it’s not a bad hotel, and the location is convenient. However, this stay left me with a rather average impression due to several service issues. The breakfast buffet was disappointing. It was quite messy, with yoghurt, jam and crumbs left on the buffet for extended periods. During the last 45 minutes of breakfast, despite the restaurant being very busy, many items were not fully restocked. We had booked a room with two separate single beds, but the room had not been prepared accordingly. Housekeeping came promptly to correct it, which was appreciated, but ideally the room should have been set up correctly before arrival. Another disappointment was that our room was not serviced during the first day of our stay. When we asked, we were told that housekeeping only cleans rooms if the “Please clean” sign is hung on the door. This policy was never mentioned during check-in, and we didn’t notice such a sign or any explanation in the room. The receptionist gave us the impression that this was our mistake.  None of these issues alone would be a major problem, but together they gave the impression that attention to detail and communication could be improved. The hotel has good potential, but some aspects of service and housekeeping currently prevent it from delivering the premium experience its name suggests. Overall, I would rate this stay as decent rather than “premium”. Super nice receptionist at check-in and the housekeeping staff were also very nice."

"I don't think the Uhle Hotel meets the official 4 star criteria: * The reception is only open from 8 to 22. The front door even less. * There is no lobby. * There is no real luggage story, and certainly not a safe one. * The mini bar is tricky. The small selection of candy bars and nuts is hidden in the main drawer, and looks like it is for free. The price list is hidden. * There is no room service (I was told I can order food by phone and pick it up in the hotel restaurant.) Check-in was strictly 15h00 in my case. The receptionist is also the owner, who I saw serving in the restaurant and clearing the tables from morning to night. You can imagine the "friendliness" of such an overworked person, and wonder why they have not more personnel. After all, the price level is not cheap, especially the breakfast for €26 is overpriced. The aisle to my dark corner room was freezing cold because a window was open. Probably because there was a stench in my room. The bad smell could have come from the clogged sink, or the dysfunctional shower doors that cause flooding. The room remained too cold all the time (ca 18°C) and there is no individual temperature control in the room. The room door doesn't close automatically, it actually remains a tad open, which I only noticed because there was a windy draft in my room. Could be a security problem. Last not least, I was charged the 5% local hotel tax in addition, although my booking confirmation said it was already included. I'm sure this was just another mistake."

"Ο πατέρας μου, ο Θεός τον ευλόγησε, μου έδωσε ένα 2-Tage-Aufenthalt στο Σβερίν. Τώρα ήμουν δύο μέρες με έναν γνωστό σε αυτό το υπέροχο βιοhotel – και ήταν πολύ όμορφο γύρω μου. Ήδη κατά την άφιξη ήταν μια ωραία, ζεστή, γεμάτη καρδιά από το αφεντικό του σπιτιού και μια μικρή πληροφορία. Ήμασταν ακόμα σε θέση να περάσουμε πριν την ώρα, γιατί το τρένο μας είναι του γερμανικού σιδηρόδρομου, δεν το πιστεύετε: σημειώθηκε! Τα δωμάτια είναι άνετα διακοσμημένα. Θα ήθελα να επισημάνω τα παράθυρα, διότι: δίπλα στους σιδηρόδρομους τρέχει, αλλά δεν μπορείτε να ακούσετε, ακόμα και αν κοιμάστε με ανοιχτά παράθυρα τη νύχτα ... τα λίγα τρένα δεν ενοχλούν. Το πρωινό ήταν μια απόλυτη επισήμανση. Η κουζίνα είναι σε περιφερειακά, εποχικά και βιολογικά συστατικά – και αυτό είναι γεύση! Κάθε συστατικό ήταν δημιουργικό, φρέσκο και απίστευτα νόστιμο. Επίσης, στις ειδικές επιθυμίες τροφίμων αντιμετωπίζεται με μεγάλη προσοχή. Ειδική λεπτομέρεια: το αφεντικό, ο κ. Μπράνερ, στηρίζει τον ψωμί και στέκεται στο κοπάδι το πρωί και βάζει τα αυγά όσο θέλει, πάντα βάλει σε ένα μικρό κομμάτι ραβδί, φιλικό, προσεκτικό και αυθεντικό. Καταλαβαίνετε ότι αυτό λειτουργεί με πραγματική πεποίθηση και βιωσιμότητα, όχι μόνο μια τάση, αλλά μια ζωντανή φιλοσοφία. Για χρόνια, όπως ακούσαμε. Μπορείτε να νιώσετε παρέα στο νησί. Και ο Σβέριν πάντα αξίζει ένα ταξίδι. Μπορώ να συστήσω πλήρως αυτό το ξενοδοχείο."

"The hotel is beautifully located in the green on the Ziegelsee. Quiet and idyllic beautiful. At the reception friendly, the room in the roof floor is small but cozy. The bed is narrow for a big woman but ok. Had I wished a flying net/grid on the windows for air in summer. The bath was clean with bathtub and everything you needed. All three meals were offered but only booked with breakfast. And there was offered everything you needed for a rich breakfast. Since we have not used wellness I can't say anything about it except that the wellness corner with its lying direction was invited to sea view. But the swimming pool we use a evening to refresh after a long day in the city is small and is rehabilitable. The ground floor has been blewed and is equipped with green spoon on some corners. The bedroom is invited with beds and beach basins in a quiet location towards Lake's. At the lake is a sea sauna. The evening invites to watch the sunset one at the sea bar with beach basins and banks. It is also a private beach section. Since the hotel is a little away, in the forest, you need to walk a little to get to a bus ( 15 minutes) if you want to let the car stand. And he doesn't drive often, so from the distances."
