"Great location. Room clean and spacious. Had a twin bedded room and room was divided which felt like two rooms. No nice view though. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Spa was really good with lots of pools, saunas and steam room. The outdoor jacuzzi and sauna was fabulous with great views. The jacuzzi could be warmer though. Have to pay for flip flops, bathrobe and swimming cap which seems odd rather than just pay for spa itself or build into the cost of the room."

"Great location in the mountains in San Martino di Castrozza. After a day of skiing welcomed with a 5 minute drive from the ski lifts to the hotel. Check in was fast and we chose our dinner for the night. After that we booked a spa time slot and it was very amazing and relaxing. The dinner was busy so I knew it was good. The rooms are cozy and welcome even with our little frenchie we had no problems."

"We requested & received a high floor balcony room with mountain view facing front. (4th floor is the top.) Room was a large junior suite on 4th floor, but due to some low ceiling beams, I kept hitting my head while navigating around the furniture. (I'm 5'11".) Balcony was large enough for 1 person to sit & enjoy mountain views. Breakfast was definitely worth the bargain 7 euros charged if not included in room rate. Check-in was at 2 pm, & there was a line of guests waiting to check in; staff was friendly & helpful. Tourist info office is next door to hotel."

"There is a lot to like about this hotel. First, the location is great, with wonderful views of The Pale. Its not right on the busiest street which means its a little more peaceful, but it is only a minute walk from the heart of town.The rooms are spacious especially by European standards, and there are mini fridges in the room which is greatly appreciated. Additionally, there are good activities planned each day. We went on organized hikes three days, which gave us the confidence to hike alone in a new place. There is also a robust kids program from what we could tell. We did not use the spa/fitness area so cannot comment on that. The main draw back is having to do the half board. We read the reviews of the food before booking and went in without high expectations. I have to say we were pleasantly surprised. The food was good, and some of the dishes were outstanding (especially the venison ravioli, the pork shank and the fish stew). Breakfast was good by European standards. We appreciated having fresh fruit available at both breakfast and dinner. However, no one wants to have to eat all their meals at the same restaurant all week. Additionally, the cost, while in line for a 4 course meal at a high end restaurant, is too high for what you get. This is not a high end restaurant, and the food while good it is not high end restaurant quality. Further, the cost does not cover any drink, not even water, which is 3 euros a bottle. Even including non alcoholic drinks in the cover would help equalize the cost/value ratio. The Front desk staff are very friendly and helpful do speak English. Most of the wait staff in the dining area do not speak English. This area in general caters to Italians and there are very few people from other countries there (this was confirmed by our hiking guide). If you are looking for an area that caters more to English speaking clients, try other areas of the Dolomites - though you would be missing some great hiking by not basing out of San Martino."

"The room was very spacious, perfectly clean and very comfortable. It was cleaned every day. The service was one of the big stand out for this hotel. Everything was catered for. There was a really nice play area for the children. A lovely pool with wellness centre attached so my wife and I could take turns using it. There was a very good selection for breakfast. Dinners were lovely, we have a 1 and 6 year old, there were plenty of options on the menu to cater for all of us and also a buffet area. Unfortunately, our eldest is prone to ear infections, she developed one on the second last day. When I asked for information at reception, they really couldn’t have been more helpful. We wouldn’t normally go to the same place twice but will probably be looking to return here. Thank you Andrea to you and your family for making this a great holiday."
