"The room exceeded expectations! European-style decoration is exquisite and atmospheric, crystal chandeliers and carved furniture are very textured, and the photos are beyond the film. The mattress is moderately soft and hard, the bedding is soft and skin-friendly, and I sleep very soundly all night. Health is done in place, the details are not found in the dust, drinking a cup of tea at night is very pleasant, the overall experience is full, next time I come to choose this one."

"Traveling with my family, we booked this hotel by the river. The hotel entrance is conveniently located, right next to the Goryeo Hotel, which even has North Korean staff. The curved hallway is quite beautiful. Overall, the hotel gives a great impression. The room has smart facilities and equipment, the beds are comfortable, and the hygiene is good, making for a reassuring stay. My family all said it was a great hotel choice, and the price was economical and affordable. We'll definitely stay here again next time we visit Dandong."

"Disappointing, and a little expensive for the quality (but I guess this is normally for Dandong). No water in the room (which I normally expect for anything over 100 yuan). The room, although had a window, was across an internal courtyard walkway, so didn't get much light. The room also seemed to have a fire escape in it. I was awoken at 5:45am by a young girl trying to open that door (I don't know if she was drunk or crazy or what was going on, but it was not a way to be woken up, and it would never have happened if there wasnt some weird locked door to the outside world at the back of the room). I informed the owner but I wasn't offered any insight. Obviously I didn't get back to sleep after this incident, so wasn't well rested the next day"

"As a German backpacker traveling through China on a budget, I’ve stayed in many hostels and budget hotels — and Fuyuan Inn in Dandong was honestly one of the best value stays I’ve had on my entire trip. The location is absolutely perfect. Being directly next to the river was one of the best parts of staying here. You can easily walk along the riverside, enjoy the views, and it’s especially beautiful at night. It also makes exploring Dandong very convenient. From the moment I arrived, I felt incredibly welcomed. The owners were unbelievably kind, warm, and helpful. Even as a foreign traveler, they made everything very easy for me. What completely surprised me was that the owner even gave me a free tour around the area, which was such a generous gesture and made my experience in Dandong much more memorable and personal. Another thing I really appreciated was that they actually let me choose between a smoking room and a non-smoking room — a small detail, but it shows they care about guest comfort. The room itself was extremely clean and far better equipped than I expected for this price range. It came with a TV, toothbrushes, soap, good shampoo, and everything else you might need for a comfortable stay. Everything felt very clean, organized, and well maintained. And honestly, for the price, I cannot complain about a single thing. It’s amazing value for money. The biggest highlight though was definitely the owners. They are some of the friendliest people I’ve met during my travels — genuinely caring, welcoming, and incredibly hospitable. If you’re coming to Dandong and want an affordable place in a perfect riverside location with spotless rooms and amazing hosts, book Fuyuan Inn. I would 100% stay here again."

"This must be the room the owner advertised. It's very convenient for families to go out. It's very close to the Broken Bridge of the Yalu River. Turn left, then right, and walk three minutes to the riverside square, across from North Korea. Then walk five minutes toward the Broken Bridge to the bridgehead. During peak tourist season, the price is relatively reasonable. And most importantly, there's private parking with a courtyard. When I went to the riverside at night and saw the crowded street parking at other hotels, I realized I made a great decision booking this hotel."

"This was my first time experiencing a guesthouse like this, and as far as the accommodation itself, 'Chuhe' left very little to complain about. The room was clean, spacious, bright, and featured a modern design. However, the self-check-in process – with no external signage, no front desk inside, and no staff present – is likely something many people haven't experienced before, or it might not be for everyone. First, it was difficult to find. Asking locals for directions based on the address and building number was useless; they had no idea where the entrance was! I had to contact them via phone, and they remotely guided me to the location (a process where the owner knew exactly what was going on, but the guest was clueless, making it time-consuming and inefficient). Then, they instructed me on how to operate the elevator, enter the main door, and get into the room. If I had arrived at night, in bad weather, or with a lot of luggage, it would have been even more of a hassle. I wasn't aware of 'Chuhe's' setup when I booked, so I tried to find it the traditional way, to no avail. Luckily, my companion had a similar experience before, so the delay was minimal. Given that this is a new concept, guests need time to adapt and decide if it's for them. Perhaps it would be helpful to clearly state this on the booking page and provide simple instructions or clarifications. This would allow guests to assess if it's suitable for them and book with a clear understanding. One warning: the sharp corners of the wooden bed frame under the mattress are quite pointed. I already scraped my shin on it. They should really add corner protectors!"

"The location is very advantageous. Wanda is conveniently next to it and you can reach many places within walking distance. Although the hotel room is small, the facilities and applications are relatively complete and worthy of the price. However, I felt that the service was the least present along the way, even for me. Personally I don't like it"

"The room is nice and spacious. Managed to get one with the view. The owner and the staffs there were all very friendly and helpful. The services provided by them were fantastic. It's definitely a good place to stay. Location is great too with the broken bridge nearby and many eateries around."

"Booked a twin room, although not big, but very warm, the shower nozzle is super flushing, the toilet is automatic, the small courtyard is lush during the day, and the night is warm and emotional. The location is excellent. Crossing the road is the riverside walking road. It is about1.3 kilometers to walk to the broken bridge at night. Pet friendly is not only talking about cleaning aunts, the owner and his wife like the dog, the ”little young master” golden retriever in the store, the five super cute You can order fried chicken and Jin main cake. Watching Jiang eat very chill."

"The location is about a 15-20 minute walk from the Yalu River (you can find similarly priced accommodation closer to the river) and the cleanliness was mediocre. Our hotel room had a funny smell and was quite rundown, but otherwise mostly clean."
