"We absolutely loved our stay here. The rooms were gorgeous, very clean and just what we wanted. The location was great, right on the river and walking distance to Elephant Hill and Two Rivers and Four Lakes. The staff at the front desk were amazing, particularly Li Ying, who helped us book transport, a boat ride to Yangshuo, gave us tips on getting the best deals, restaurant recommendations, and even gave us some of her dessert to try one night! A pleasure to stay at Guilin Huali Inn - so nice we booked twice, and came back again!"

"The hotel is pretty good, close to all the attractions. There are electric scooters right outside the entrance, you can just scan one and go everywhere. However, be careful where you park it; it must be in the designated area. I, for one, forgot to park it in the designated area and got fined! The owner also gave us recommendations for nearby attractions, which was a nice touch!"

"I booked the Guijia Hotel for this trip, and my experience was absolutely fantastic! First off, the location is superb, right next to the scenic area, making it incredibly convenient for sightseeing and trying local snacks. If you're driving, this place is a must-book – the free parking lot is huge, so parking is a breeze. The room decor is cozy, and the facilities are complete, with plenty of hot water and fast Wi-Fi, ensuring a great night's sleep. The front desk lady was not only beautiful and kind but also thoughtfully recommended some hidden local gems for us to visit. Overall, from check-in to check-out, it was a very pleasant stay. Definitely five stars!"

Getting around with Didi or taxis is very easy and you can reach the city center, train station and other places quickly and without any hassle. The surroundings are beautiful, quiet and close to nature, which makes it a great place to relax away from the busy city. The staff were very helpful and friendly, which made our stay even more pleasant. 🤗 The rooms are a little dated, but still very nice overall—especially the view, which was absolutely wonderful! The best part, however, were the animals at the property 💕 Every evening when we came back from our activities, we left the door open and let the two cats come into our room. They were incredibly cute and cuddely and made the stay even more memorable."

"This hotel completely exceeded my expectations, mainly because it's almost identical to a Quanji Hotel but at a much better price point. The overall decor is very much in the Quanji style, and the lobby, building, and airport shuttle vehicles are all shared. The only difference is that the check-in counters are located on opposite sides of the building. The room was generally clean and had basic smart switches. The nightlight was conveniently placed, making it easy to get up in the middle of the night. Even though it's an airport hotel, walking to the terminal is still a bit far. I'd recommend calling for the shuttle service."

PPacomundoI really can't recommend Chuxin enough! Before coming, I was worried about the location – whether it was close to restaurants and attractions. But then I saw their dog, Laicai, and decided to book it! And it turned out to be surprisingly good! **Location:** You can easily get here from the distribution center by taxi or ride-sharing. 1: There are restaurants right across and next door to the hotel, so eating is not an issue at all. 2: You get a beautiful mountain view as soon as you open the door, the air is fantastic, and the surroundings are very quiet. 3: It's close to all the attractions and piers; you can even walk to the Jima Pier. Right next to the hotel is an electric scooter rental place, so it's super convenient to rent in the morning and return at night! **Service:** The owners are incredibly friendly and even gave us some seasonal sugar oranges, which were delicious! The dog is super cute and not afraid of people at all. I wish the owners good fortune (Lai Cai means 'bring wealth' in Chinese)!

GGuest UserThis guest house left me with mixed feelings. Let's start with the good things. The location is super convenient: right in the old town and yet in a relatively quiet area. It's close to the river so you can take a refreshing night stroll, and close to a delicious bakery/café you'll never forget. The atmosphere of the guest house is rustic and cozy, with a laundry room that, despite its very limited space, serves the purpose. There are also cats and a dog you can freely play with. The bed was comfortable for us (a bit on the harder side). The owners speak English so you can easily communicate with them. They are very kind and helpful. However, a few things about this stay got me extremely disappointed, particularly taking into consideration the positive reviews I had read (which honestly I don't understand where they came from). The room was far from clean. There was a very visible layer of dust. The cushion seats had huge stains and looked dirty overall. The shower room did not get cleaned very regularly, as you can see from the picture. In general everything in the property looked outdated and cheap (wobbly sink taps, doors with huge gaps, that give way to all sorts of bugs and giant spiders..). The fact that the toilet is next to the shower room leaves no room for privacy and makes the toilet floor wet most of the time (this could be solved with a proper shower door instead of a curtain). In conclusion, I was more than happy to leave the property because it did not meet my standards for comfort and hygiene. However, if you don't particularly care about a certain degree of dirt and dust here and there, and are cool with bugs, then you should definitely go for it as you might really like the retro atmosphere of the place.

GGuest UserI rarely write reviews, but felt like I had to talk about what a magical experience I had at Yunshe. I stayed for three nights during the off-season, and was looking for a peaceful getaway with easy access to nature and a minimum of tourist traps. That’s exactly what I got and more — the hotel owner (who grew up nearby) was extremely gracious and generous, moving me into a larger room on the lower floor to accommodate my heavy luggage. She also gave me tips on how to get around Xingping as well as instructions for trails to the nearby Damian Mountain and a Buddhist temple built into the side of a cliff. The view from the hotel veranda is stunning, perfect for reading a book or chatting with other guests, depending on your mood. It’s a true escape from city life without having to give up comforts like espresso drinks. Just be aware that it is farther from Xingping than other hotels (which is the point), so plan your transportation accordingly. Five stars for the hotel’s dog, too, who led me up the mountain for a sunrise hike (photos not shown here).

GGuest UserA very nice little hotel very close to the river and the city center. The hotel manager didn't talk english but we talked via WeChat and everything went smoothly, he recomended us some trips to do in the Yangshuo area and restaurants to eat. Very recomendable. The rooms were big, clean, confortable and have AC. Totally recommended. And has a mirror floor on the attic for everybody to take pictures! I almost forgot, there is a washing machine!

LLeonie WigleyI had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language. Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

GGuest UserThis hostel absolutely deserves five stars! The location is fantastic; there's a bus stop right outside, making it super convenient to get to attractions and shopping areas. The common areas are clean and tidy, with cozy and stylish decor. It's really comfortable to chat with friends or read there in the evenings. The owner and other guests are super friendly and enthusiastic; they'll recommend authentic local food and off-the-beaten-path activities, and we even had great conversations. The owner even took photos for us – they're quite good and it was such a heartwarming gesture! Plus, there's an adorable chubby little dog. The beds are comfortable, with just the right firmness in the mattress, and the blankets are clean and odor-free. The soundproofing is also good, ensuring a great night's sleep. The washrooms and toilets are cleaned daily, and hot water is available 24/7, which is more than enough. It offers incredible value for money, and staying here feels just like being at home. I'll definitely choose this place again on my next visit!

YYanyongqianI arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

LLezhiyingrenThis hotel is conveniently located just a 3-5 minute walk east of Xingping Pier, right at the foot of Laozhai Mountain. After getting off the high-speed train, a 5-yuan shuttle bus takes you to Xingping Bus Station, from where it's a pleasant 10-minute walk to the hotel – super convenient! The owner is really nice and incredibly welcoming. They can even help arrange round-trip transportation to Xianggong Mountain for the next day. The hotel boasts a viewing platform and a restaurant, both with reasonable prices. Enjoying a meal or a drink while taking in the stunning Li River views is incredibly relaxing. If you're tired from sightseeing, you can unwind in the lobby downstairs, sip some tea, and listen to the artistic owner play the guitar. It's so relaxing that I decided to extend my stay for a few more days.

AAnnabel LouiseHosting Helped reserve bus tickets to Longji Rice Terraces. Even helped with pictures of where to find the bus stop Room Essentials. Bed. Curtains. Kettle. Hangers. But bit rough around edges e.g. curtains don't fully surround bed and kettle hard to plug in. Pretty comfy Mattress. Security is decent as you need a card to get in but you also need that card to be put in a slot for electricity which I feel like doesn't work as well in a shared dorm as if someone took theirs out during the night and no one was up to replace it the rest of wouldn't know our stuff had stopped charging. The people in the same dorm were quite rude like they left their stuff all over the shared spaces, but I think if I remember correctly there are lockers outside the room so if you need more storage space you can use them. For the prices you charge you can't complain Bathroom Again everything you need just not absolutely perfect. Sink. Sitting toilet. Shower. If you just need a quick rinse the shower is fine but at this time of year Guilin is really quite hot and humid so you went a proper shower but the shower in this room was extremely weak (picture is shower on full). If I was staying longer in this heat i would probably ask for a different room or book somewhere else Amenities There is a washing machine, a dryer and a clothes hanging area which you can use when the dryer is broken aha. Location It is in walking distance to both the train station and coach station, and there are shops and restaurants in the local area Other There is a cat roaming about - I have mild allergies which only really act up when I touch a lot of fur and I was fine so it must be pretty clean, but obviously if you have more severe allergies you may want to choose somewhere else

FFanfan186136The room was clean, tidy, and odorless, with soft and comfortable bedding. The front desk service was warm and attentive, and the value for money is exceptional. I'll definitely choose this hotel again for my next business trip! The location is convenient for getting around, the room has great natural light yet is quiet, and the cleanliness is impeccable. The service is thoughtful and I highly recommend it!
