"Really easy to find and in a great location with most things within a 10-20 mins walk away! The owner was so lovely ! I mentioned I was hungry then 10 mins later a knock on the door… she brought me some food which she had cooked herself and it was lovely! Rooms are basic but have everything you need! The lobby is such a lovely vibe and smells amazing ! Based on what you pay , you couldn’t ask for more"

Our staff are marked 'superb' by the reviewers simply because they're outgoing and extremely helpful, making guests feel at ease. Many of our visitors say they 'would sure to pay a second visit' to CyanBox when in China.
"I really enjoyed my stay. Upon arrival, I had a lot of issues with both WeChat and Alipay and was unable to make any payments, which was quite stressful. The staff were extremely helpful and spent a lot of time assisting me in identifying the problem and translating when needed (thank you!!!). They also helped arrange tours, which I greatly appreciated, especially since the pickup point was right outside the hostel. The staff were als really sociable and hospitable."

"The hotel conditions were great. It's located in Xiangshan District, Guilin, and the environment is elegant, clean, and tidy with good sanitation facilities and excellent service. The sleeping environment was also very quiet. The bedding was comfortable, with a mattress that was just right – not too soft, not too firm – and comfortable pillows. It's just a few minutes' walk to the Sun and Moon Twin Pagodas or the famous Elephant Trunk Hill, both easily reachable on foot. There's a bus stop only 3 minutes' walk from the hotel, and taxis are readily available right outside."

"If you’re a solo traveler and miss your pets and family at home this is the place for you! They have milk tea the cute kitty and Pu’er the cute adventurous dog ans I didn’t ask for the turtles name. It’s like home simply clean and comfy. The owner is the nicest! She helped with with a once day itenerary and everything else I needed she helped me with. She had some good food recs. They were eating some snacks and didn’t even hesitate to offer. This family is so sweet! The place itself is gorgeous with a beautiful garden"

"The hotel is really close to guilinbei station which is very convenient. We stayed 3 nights. We were kindly upgraded for two nights on our stay, but on the last night we didnt have the room we booked wich was a bit disapointing (the bed was too small for two people). Anyways, the price and accommodation is VERY good. The room was clean and the hotel looked brand new. We recommand 100%. As foreigners the check in was fast and we had no problem for communication."

"Staying at such a clean hotel for this price really put me in a good mood. Facilities: The toilet is a smart bidet. The shower gel and shampoo are locked dispensers and clearly labeled with expiration dates, which is very reassuring. The mirror has a built-in fill light, the hairdryer is a Dyson, and the large TV offers a great viewing experience. The most pleasant surprise was the built-in smart voice assistant, which was incredibly convenient. Attractions: It's very close and convenient to tourist spots; a 10-minute taxi ride gets you there. There are some restaurants downstairs, but not many. The surrounding area is pretty good, very quiet and comfortable at night. Cleanliness: The hygiene is excellent. All the furniture, bedding, etc., are very new, which is very reassuring. Service: The hotel promptly replenished supplies and cleaned the room. Staying for several days felt stress-free. There are free washing machines and dryers on the top floor. The only suggestion would be to improve the cleanliness of the public areas. Overall, a great experience, thank you for the service."

"Great location, just around the corner of the Guilin North railway station. I stayed here to grab the airport bus the next morning. It was easy to find the hotel with plenty of dining options nearby. The staff were very helpful in trying to resolve technical issues with the projector in my room. I appreciate the support they provided. After staying in other hotels that offered disposable bath towels, it was nice to get a real towel in the bathroom. Overall this was a good stay here and got a great night sleep before flying out. Thank you!"

"The front desk upgraded me to a deluxe twin room for free, and the room was very spacious and comfortable! Most importantly, being on the 12th floor, the view from the window was completely unexpected! The room was clean and well-equipped, with a small sofa and a work desk and chair. The hotel was very thoughtful, providing disposable toilet seat covers and face towels! What I appreciated most was that the hotel contacted my friend Xiaoyang via WeChat. I casually asked her about nearby restaurants, and she incredibly kindly sent me locations and recommendations to avoid bad choices! I'd be really heartbroken if my boss didn't give her a raise! 😆"

GGuest UserI highly recommend Chuxin Homestay; it was the most satisfying accommodation choice during my trip to Yangshuo! The location is truly unbeatable, very close to the Yulong River trail. In the morning, you can take an immersive stroll and enjoy the scenic mountains and rivers. It's also super convenient to get to Jima Pier for a bamboo raft ride. The 'Eternal Love' scenic area is just a few minutes' bike ride away, so you can easily return after the show without rushing, saving a lot of travel time. The room hygiene was exceptional. The bedding was soft and clean, the bathroom had no odors, and every corner was meticulously cleaned, making our stay very reassuring. The service from the owner was even more heartwarming; they patiently answered questions about travel routes and food recommendations before and after check-in. They were very responsive to our needs, making us feel completely at home. The room had great natural light, comfortable space, and was quiet, not noisy at all. The value for money is outstanding. This is my top choice for a trip to Yangshuo, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

GGuest UserA very nice little hotel very close to the river and the city center. The hotel manager didn't talk english but we talked via WeChat and everything went smoothly, he recomended us some trips to do in the Yangshuo area and restaurants to eat. Very recomendable. The rooms were big, clean, confortable and have AC. Totally recommended. And has a mirror floor on the attic for everybody to take pictures! I almost forgot, there is a washing machine!

AAlberta FilaferroThis is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

We booked a triple room. **Amenities:** All pretty comprehensive, they even have a smart voice assistant (Xiao Du) to control the AC. **Cleanliness:** Decent, just a bit dusty on the floor, but everything else was quite clean. We used our own disposable bed covers. **Environment:** The location is excellent, right next to Dongxi Lane. You can find food within a few minutes' walk downstairs, and Jingjiang Royal City is right behind. Because it's on a main road, it can be a bit noisy. Also, the soundproofing in the room isn't great – you can hear conversations from the hallway clearly inside, and vice versa. The sound of doors closing at night can be a bit disruptive, but otherwise, no major issues. **Service:** The front desk lady was very nice and provided great service.

GGuest User非常完美的一次居住體驗，這裏不僅住的舒服，老闆一家也非常熱情，還喊我一起喝茶。而且他們家的吃的超級好吃，啤酒魚也不錯，早上起來還能在觀景台看日出，晚上看日落，房間裏就能看到梯田，衹能說完美。不過龍脊梯田交通不是很便利，這一點來之前要提前做好規劃。

GGuest UserMust praise this store! The boss is a young boss. The store has a good good and cute kitten, and it is very cool to play the cat when resting. The whole house is well done, and all corners are cleaned up. It's much better than I thought, much better. On the first night I arrived, I lay in bed and wanted to watch dramas. I found that there was no video member. The boss immediately opened SVIP. The service is super good. The warmest thing is that I blow the air conditioner and catch a cold. I have to catch the high-speed rail downstairs the next day. I asked if there were paper towels. I smoked a few tables. I was going out to find a convenience store. The boss saw that I kept wiping my nose and took the initiative to take a pack of paper towels to me. The details are full, the service is not perfunctory, it is really comfortable to travel here, highly recommended!

YYanyongqianI arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

AAnastasiaCh.Super nice place to stay. The lady at the reception who we also think was the owner, was super friendly and professional. She was also speaking in English, which was super nice, as we did not have to use any translation apps like in other hotels. The room was clean and nice, with a balcony. We loved the balcony, as we were sitting during the night and enjoying the sound of nature. The hotel also offers food at the restaurant at the rooftop with a nice view. The location is amazing with people selling things under your balcony, close to the shops and restaurants from one side, whilst also close to the river and all the attractions on the other. Also, this is the exact location where you can go up to Laozhai mountain for the breathtaking view, the hiking route literally starts less than a minute away from the hotel. (P.S. please make sure you understand that the way up the mountain is very steep, with no build steps/stair, we literally climb up rocks - do not go when its dark). Thank you to the hotel for the amazing stay.

GGuest UserHosting Helped reserve bus tickets to Longji Rice Terraces. Even helped with pictures of where to find the bus stop Room Essentials. Bed. Curtains. Kettle. Hangers. But bit rough around edges e.g. curtains don't fully surround bed and kettle hard to plug in. Pretty comfy Mattress. Security is decent as you need a card to get in but you also need that card to be put in a slot for electricity which I feel like doesn't work as well in a shared dorm as if someone took theirs out during the night and no one was up to replace it the rest of wouldn't know our stuff had stopped charging. The people in the same dorm were quite rude like they left their stuff all over the shared spaces, but I think if I remember correctly there are lockers outside the room so if you need more storage space you can use them. For the prices you charge you can't complain Bathroom Again everything you need just not absolutely perfect. Sink. Sitting toilet. Shower. If you just need a quick rinse the shower is fine but at this time of year Guilin is really quite hot and humid so you went a proper shower but the shower in this room was extremely weak (picture is shower on full). If I was staying longer in this heat i would probably ask for a different room or book somewhere else Amenities There is a washing machine, a dryer and a clothes hanging area which you can use when the dryer is broken aha. Location It is in walking distance to both the train station and coach station, and there are shops and restaurants in the local area Other There is a cat roaming about - I have mild allergies which only really act up when I touch a lot of fur and I was fine so it must be pretty clean, but obviously if you have more severe allergies you may want to choose somewhere else

GGuest UserThe view from the ”Premium Double Room” is fake - the hotel admitted to adding the karst mountains during ”post-production”. Do not book the room if you want dual aspect views onto the famous karst mountains (one side of the room faces some mountains (good view), but the other side faces some buildings). When we raised their falsification on the advertisement with the reception they admitted to faking the views, and we were able to negotiate electric bike rental as compensation. However, overall the hotel is good. 20 minute walk into city centre, clean, friendly staff, and a decent view (even if not as advertised) from some rooms. Good for the price! I wouldn't normally comment on this, but given the other issues we faced it seems that this hotel manager is as opportunistic as possible to exploit and sort change guests. When we arrived, we were given a downgraded room (i.e. facing a concrete wall). When we raised it was the downgraded one we asked for the room we had booked (double aspect windows with the view of the mountains). She was able to give us that room, but as I already explained the photograph of the room advertised contains fake imagery to deceive guests. I hope they change this in the future so that other guests are not deceived like us. Regarding the compensation for staying in the hotel despite the false advertising, we had negotiated free electric bike rental for one and a half days, and a ¥20 discount to be collected at the end. (They only accepted after I threatened to write an honest review and complain to Trip.com). Unfortunately, on the last day they didn't let us use the e-bike because it was drizzling (only in the morning, it was a bright sunny day for the rest of the day), and then they refused to refund the ¥20 as agreed on the basis that we'd used the e-bikes for half a day (the previous afternoon). (I have written evidence (via my translation app history) of all of this should the hotel respond and say that I'm not telling the truth). I am sharing a REAL photo of the room so future guests are aware of the view. I recommend that the hotel improves the honesty of their advertising.
