"Great budget room - there was a drip in the bathroom but no other issues. Owners/staff went above and beyond. Helped me to rent a scooter from a business when the apps would not work. Park a short walk away that lights up and has music / dancing on a night. Coffee shop owner outside the hotel was lovely too. If I come back to the area I would stay here for sure."

"The location is super easy to find, and the room is clean and tidy – a really comfortable stay. The owner is incredibly welcoming and honest, and it's excellent value for money. I'll definitely stay here again next time! Highly recommended! What an unexpected surprise on my trip! The facilities are new, and the service is warm. The soundproof windows are particularly impressive; even though it's near the airport, I couldn't hear any noise with the windows closed, and I slept incredibly well. Thumbs up to this place, it really exceeded my expectations!"

It is not only a livable home for local residents, but also a window for tourists to experience the authentic life of Guilin. Our guest house is designed in the style of straw and wood. The tatami bed is made of elm wood. The grain of the elm wood is hard and soft, with a touch of freehand brushwork. It is also a homestay cafe compound space. “Fangji travel coffee Shop” on the first floor, with Guilin landscape nourishing coffee beans with a bowl of traditional guilin rice noodles, this is a dedicated to Guilin good morning ceremony. Super popular“Lao Dong Jiang”“Ren li” rice noodle shop just walk for 3-10 minutes.
"The courtyard has a lot of wisteria, and there's even music playing at the entrance, which creates a really stylish atmosphere. There's also a tatami area at the front desk for photos. The staff are super friendly and chatty when we get back. The only minor thing is we asked for disposable slippers, and the front desk forgotten to send them up."

GGuest UserI highly recommend Chuxin Homestay; it was the most satisfying accommodation choice during my trip to Yangshuo! The location is truly unbeatable, very close to the Yulong River trail. In the morning, you can take an immersive stroll and enjoy the scenic mountains and rivers. It's also super convenient to get to Jima Pier for a bamboo raft ride. The 'Eternal Love' scenic area is just a few minutes' bike ride away, so you can easily return after the show without rushing, saving a lot of travel time. The room hygiene was exceptional. The bedding was soft and clean, the bathroom had no odors, and every corner was meticulously cleaned, making our stay very reassuring. The service from the owner was even more heartwarming; they patiently answered questions about travel routes and food recommendations before and after check-in. They were very responsive to our needs, making us feel completely at home. The room had great natural light, comfortable space, and was quiet, not noisy at all. The value for money is outstanding. This is my top choice for a trip to Yangshuo, and I'll definitely stay here again next time!

GGuest UserThe ambiance here is wonderful. The owner is a very kind person who cares for many small animals. The rooms are beautifully decorated, truly reflecting their great taste. Being located right in Xingping Ancient Town, it's incredibly convenient for visiting all the attractions. The owner even offered complimentary pour-over coffee, which was truly delicious. The guesthouse has a lot of unique character, and the overall experience was fantastic.

AAlberta FilaferroThis is a wonderful family run guesthouse, where you can enjoy peace away from the hustle of Xingping Old Town. Differently from other types of accommodation we have seen in Dahe Bei village, this guesthouse is a hidden gem with charme and character. The food was excellent and abundant, freshly cooked by the owner herself. The owner picked us up from the Dahe Bei ferry dock, organised an electric moped rental in Dahe Bei (we didn't see many on that side of the river) and gave us plenty of tips and suggestions for where to go and what to do around there, including a sunrise hike to a nearby mountain that you can reach directly from the guesthouse - if you're into hiking (it's a 1h walk uphill through pomelo and orange orchards, followed by a series of staircases), it's a great spot, as we found only a few photographers when we got up there. The ginger cat and the house dog are cute and extremely friendly, adding to the overall wonderful atmosphere. Our room was spacious and clean, with plenty of hot water for showers after a day of hiking or driving around to see the surroundings. If we were to travel again in this area, we would definitely go back. Highly recommended!

LLeonie WigleyI had an absolutely wonderful stay here. I went out of season, so I was the one of the only guests for two days, this made if even more special. if you travel during rainy season make sure to have rainboots and rain proof coats etc. The nights and mornings can get very cold so prepare warm clothes. The family helped me from booking a local shuttle bus from Yangshuo to arrive and departing and also picked me up on my day of arrival from the park entrance. The Homestay is quite far up the hills, not very easy to find you need to carpool or ask owners to help with scooter ride, but the views and people make it all the worthwhile. It is close to many hiking trails and view points. The family welcomed me with so much love the room was exactly as it said. Their food and pricing is also very affordable. They family is of the local ethnicity and they gave me an up-close view in their lives and their traditional ways. I tasted their rice wine, chilli paste , traditional tea and bamboo rice and many other delicious foods. The owners and family are very helpful and if you have any questions, or want to know more of need to get to a certain part of the area they are happy to help. This family and their black dog filled my heart with so much love and gratitude. Note for for foreign travelers: They don't speak English, but do not let this scare you if you are a foreigner, translator apps are helpful if you can't understand the language. Overall, I highly recommend if you are looking for a peaceful, tranquil and family-like feeling enjoy the outdoors and nature. I will definitely be going back!

Ttraveller2847The best hostel I’ve ever stayed in and exactly the Guilin experience I wanted. The location is amazing and there are some very good food places a few hundred metres away. The hostel itself is very social as most are solo travellers meaning it’s very easy to make friends and travel to some areas together. It also feels very homely and the decor is very stylish. The boss is pretty much always around in person or via WeChat so if you have any questions or problems you can ask him. He can also help you out with finding a shared taxi to some further towns. He also does regular trips to some hidden-gems in Guilin like visiting waterfalls, walking in caves and seeing the sunset meaning for a unique and unforgettable experience that very few travellers will get! The hostel is very clean too, the boss is always cleaning and tidying up. Other bonuses are the boss’ very cute and friendly corgi who comes to visit multiple times a day. I will definitely come back and stay here another time :)

AAru-chanTHE BEST OF A HOTEL + THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY Choosing LINJING HOMESTAY was a great decision! I recommend it 100%. THE BEST OF A HOTEL: Spacious, beautiful, bright room with all the amenities and impeccable cleanliness. The views were fabulous, the bed was wonderful (large, with a comfortable, soft mattress and very soft sheets), it also had chairs and a table to work at, and the Wi-Fi worked very well. I liked that there were natural plants, too. The bathroom was fantastic. The bidet water gun was a pleasant surprise. You can shower with very hot water and good pressure. Don't worry if the floor gets wet: the water-repellent tiles dry very quickly. There are disposable towels if you want to bathe in the river, but there are also soft cotton towels and non-slip slippers to use in the hotel. THE BEST OF A HOMESTAY: The hosts are a warm local family. I was touched by their kindness and hospitality. They helped me a lot and always gave me fruit and other nice things to eat. They were always willing to share a cup of tea. They also got me a motorbike at a very good price. And they let me use their washing machine for free. They even drove me to the station and dropped me directly on my bus. THE SURROUNDINGS: The location is excellent. It is a quiet neighbourhood where local families live. You meet very friendly people all the time. You just have to cross the bridge in front of the hotel to get to the old quarter. Behind the hotel there is a path leading up to a viewpoint that few people know about. The path is very well signposted and is perfect for watching the sunset.

YYanyongqianI arrived in Guilin from Kunming late after 12 am and there is no tourist information counter staff at the airport to tell me where to wait for the hotel's airport transfer driver. Fortunately an airline check-in counter officer helped me call the hotel to find out where to wait for the driver. Please note wait for the driver next to the police kiosk after leaving Gate 6 of the domestic arrival terminal and crossing the lane. It took me 15 minutes to identify the driver because the driver did not show the placard showing the hotel name Shanshuiyunshang Hotel. The driver was impatiently waiting for a foreign tourist. So I identified myself as a Singaporean looking for the transfer driver of the hotel. He replied that I can follow him, who did not declare the hotel's name. Thank God he brought a group of tourists and me to Shanshuiyunshang Hotel to check-in. I also thank God that the driver escorts me to the Airport Flower Field, which is 569 metres away from the hotel, for plane-spotting, and I walk back to the hotel within 10 minutes to check-out of the hotel for my outgoing trip from Guilin after completing my plane-spotting mission. Other than the hotel airport transfer driver, there is the odour of smoke in the room but I have to bear with it until I leave and I cannot access the hotel wifi by scanning the QR code. The hotel restaurant is very small but dragonfruit is served and the breakfast amount is sufficient to fill my hunger. Shanshuiyunshang Hotel is one of several hotels along the road of Liangjiang Town that has accommodation for tourists but this hotel is the only one in Liangjiang Town to be listed on Trip.com. I will stay here again for the purpose of plane-spotting in Liangjiang Town, the famous airport town of Guangxi.

AAnastasiaCh.Super nice place to stay. The lady at the reception who we also think was the owner, was super friendly and professional. She was also speaking in English, which was super nice, as we did not have to use any translation apps like in other hotels. The room was clean and nice, with a balcony. We loved the balcony, as we were sitting during the night and enjoying the sound of nature. The hotel also offers food at the restaurant at the rooftop with a nice view. The location is amazing with people selling things under your balcony, close to the shops and restaurants from one side, whilst also close to the river and all the attractions on the other. Also, this is the exact location where you can go up to Laozhai mountain for the breathtaking view, the hiking route literally starts less than a minute away from the hotel. (P.S. please make sure you understand that the way up the mountain is very steep, with no build steps/stair, we literally climb up rocks - do not go when its dark). Thank you to the hotel for the amazing stay.

But bit rough around edges e.g. curtains don't fully surround bed and kettle hard to plug in. Pretty comfy Mattress. Security is decent as you need a card to get in but you also need that card to be put in a slot for electricity which I feel like doesn't work as well in a shared dorm as if someone took theirs out during the night and no one was up to replace it the rest of wouldn't know our stuff had stopped charging. The people in the same dorm were quite rude like they left their stuff all over the shared spaces, but I think if I remember correctly there are lockers outside the room so if you need more storage space you can use them. For the prices you charge you can't complain Bathroom Again everything you need just not absolutely perfect. Sink. Sitting toilet. Shower. If you just need a quick rinse the shower is fine but at this time of year Guilin is really quite hot and humid so you went a proper shower but the shower in this room was extremely weak (picture is shower on full). If I was staying longer in this heat i would probably ask for a different room or book somewhere else Amenities There is a washing machine, a dryer and a clothes hanging area which you can use when the dryer is broken aha. Location It is in walking distance to both the train station and coach station, and there are shops and restaurants in the local area Other There is a cat roaming about - I have mild allergies which only really act up when I touch a lot of fur and I was fine so it must be pretty clean, but obviously if you have more severe allergies you may want to choose somewhere else

GGuest UserThe view from the ”Premium Double Room” is fake - the hotel admitted to adding the karst mountains during ”post-production”. Do not book the room if you want dual aspect views onto the famous karst mountains (one side of the room faces some mountains (good view), but the other side faces some buildings). When we raised their falsification on the advertisement with the reception they admitted to faking the views, and we were able to negotiate electric bike rental as compensation. However, overall the hotel is good. 20 minute walk into city centre, clean, friendly staff, and a decent view (even if not as advertised) from some rooms. Good for the price! I wouldn't normally comment on this, but given the other issues we faced it seems that this hotel manager is as opportunistic as possible to exploit and sort change guests. When we arrived, we were given a downgraded room (i.e. facing a concrete wall). When we raised it was the downgraded one we asked for the room we had booked (double aspect windows with the view of the mountains). She was able to give us that room, but as I already explained the photograph of the room advertised contains fake imagery to deceive guests. I hope they change this in the future so that other guests are not deceived like us. Regarding the compensation for staying in the hotel despite the false advertising, we had negotiated free electric bike rental for one and a half days, and a ¥20 discount to be collected at the end. (They only accepted after I threatened to write an honest review and complain to Trip.com). Unfortunately, on the last day they didn't let us use the e-bike because it was drizzling (only in the morning, it was a bright sunny day for the rest of the day), and then they refused to refund the ¥20 as agreed on the basis that we'd used the e-bikes for half a day (the previous afternoon). (I have written evidence (via my translation app history) of all of this should the hotel respond and say that I'm not telling the truth). I am sharing a REAL photo of the room so future guests are aware of the view. I recommend that the hotel improves the honesty of their advertising.
