One Minute’s Walk, A Thousand Years of Poetry: A Serene Retreat Beside Guilin North Station
They say Guilin’s landscape is the finest under heaven, yet the weariness of travel often begins the moment the journey itself does.
And so, just one minute’s walk from Guilin North Station, we have kept a cup of clear tea waiting for you.
There is no weary transit here. You step off the high-speed train, pass through a gentle breeze, and turn a corner—only to find yourself in a pocket of stillness.
We call this a dwelling “apart from the dust, yet never far from the world”:
beyond the window, the vibrant hum of everyday life; within, the quiet elegance of an ink-wash painting.
Our modest house is small, but it holds everything you have ever imagined about Guilin.
In the early morning, when the first light crosses Yaoshan Mountain and slips through the gauze curtains, you can brew a pot of osmanthus black tea at the tea table. Against the faint silhouette of distant peaks, savour a bowl of authentic Guilin rice noodles.
At night, shed the bustle gathered in Yangshuo’s West Street. Lie upon bedding as soft as cloud, and drift into peaceful sleep cradled by stillness. Outside the window, moonlight spills like water, and now and then a breeze rustles through the bamboo leaves—as if it were the steady, gentle breath of this old city.
We have carried Guilin’s mountains and waters into our little house:
a cluster of emerald bamboo in the corner, blue-grey tiles and tracery windows set into white walls, a few red carp playing in the pond.
Nothing contrived—only that long-missed sense of ease, tenderly restored.
Here, you are not a passing stranger. You are a returning guest we have been waiting for all along.
Next time you grow tired of haste, won’t you pause here a while?
Start from this very place, and walk gently into the soul of a city.
"The hotel is really close to guilinbei station which is very convenient. We stayed 3 nights. We were kindly upgraded for two nights on our stay, but on the last night we didnt have the room we booked wich was a bit disapointing (the bed was too small for two people). Anyways, the price and accommodation is VERY good. The room was clean and the hotel looked brand new. We recommand 100%. As foreigners the check in was fast and we had no problem for communication."
