Since there's no shower curtain, almost the entire toilet and toilet seat get wet after showering, and washing hands requires going outside the toilet area – the overall design is inconvenient. Additionally, there's the soundproofing issue many people have mentioned, which we were also concerned about. Because one of our room's windows faces the lobby, we could clearly hear guests talking in the lobby and opening and closing room doors at night. Combined with the hotel's industrial design, the drainage pipes and exhaust fans weren't well concealed, resulting in considerable noise. We recommend that guests sensitive to noise bring earplugs. We probably checked in on Saturday night. Although we informed them of our check-in time, the door was locked when we arrived, and no one was there. We only found out our room number and check-in arrangements after other travelers reminded us to call the manager. Since the hotel doesn't have an elevator, we carried our luggage to the third floor only to discover we'd been given the wrong double room; after calling the manager again, we were told it should have been on the second floor. Considering all the communication with the hotel before and after, it didn't feel like the friendly and hospitable atmosphere of a typical guesthouse. Next time I go to Anping, I'll choose a different hotel."
