"Amazing english speaking team on reception who help you plan trips in the area. Wandou the golden retriever is absolutely incredible and worth staying here for alone! Lovely common areas and cheap laundry service Dorms were a little tired feeling but the beds had curtains and shelves etc which was great. Aircon in every room which was essential in the heat though staff would come in the room frequently to turn it off and open the window, therefore letting in the heat, which meant the aircon needed to be used even more!"

"Overall, it's great value for money, and the service was excellent. The only downsides were the 30 RMB deposit for the room key, and although we booked an eight-person room, we were assigned a twelve-person room (even though it was the off-season, only four people were actually staying). It's located in the suburbs, so there aren't many restaurants nearby. The washing machine was charged, and the sheets and blankets had a lot of static electricity. It's affiliated with the Sand Therapy Courtyard, I don't know why."

"The hotel owner and receptionist were very nice! Due to personal reasons, we misread our train schedule and checked in a day early, but we didn't actually arrive until the next morning. After explaining the situation, the hotel helped us negotiate a one-day extension. We were very grateful! [Thumbs up][Thumbs up] The hotel is newly opened, the rooms are very clean and spacious, and the facilities are comprehensive. The blankets were especially comfortable and warm. The only downside was that the pillows were a bit too high for me, but overall it was a very good experience. [Thumbs up]"

"At the entrance of the Youth Hostel is a row of mulberry trees, successfully realizing the freedom of mulberry, and eating cool! The proprietress was very enthusiastic and told us where there were small white apricots to pick. It was near the Youth Hostel. There were indeed many. There was still a little sour and the big one was very sweet! The bosses organized barbecues and invited us to eat together, a super good experience! Also lent us an electric car to facilitate our travel. Stay here next time you come to Turpan!"

"The room was spotless and was cleaned daily during my three-day stay. The owner has an amazing personality and patiently answered all my questions about local travel tips, which I really appreciated 🙏. The hostel has a fantastic vibe; everyone was making plans to explore together, watching movies, singing, playing games, and those who were good at cooking even prepared meals – just remember to clean up afterwards! I had a truly wonderful and comfortable stay, it was definitely a highlight of my Xinjiang trip."

The hotel is only 15km from Tulufanbei Railway Station and 16km from Turpan Jiaohe Airport, giving guests a number of convenient transportation options. Seeing Turpan's sights from this hotel is easy with Mansion of Turpan's Prefect, Sugong Tower and Desert Ecological Tourist Zone of Turpan all close by. When guests have some time on their hands they can make use of the onsite facilities. This Turpan hotel offers parking on site. If you demand a high level of service, our guests have indicated that this hotel has excellent standards. For guests traveling with families, this hotel is consistently one of the most popular choices.
"The hotel was on a back street in old Turpan so it was quiet and in a pleasant area. The hotel room was good and we were upgraded for free. There is a lovely and extensive garden/patio which unfortunately we could only make minimal use because it was cold. The hotel was extremely clean and our room was cleaned every day without request and we were supplied with clean towels every day. The manager was very helpful, advising us on a number of matters, ordering a taxi for us, and permitting us to stay until 2:00 PM when we left because of a 4:00 PM train departure. The hotel provided a basic but very reasonably priced breakfast. And as all reviewers have noted, the hotel has a unique toilet."

"I randomly booked this place and was pleasantly surprised by how great it was! Even though it's newly renovated, there was no 'new renovation' smell. The room was incredibly clean and the bed was very comfortable. The price was also quite affordable, making it a fantastic value-for-money guesthouse. The room hygiene was excellent, and the staff were warm, efficient, and pretty much granted every request. The main thing is the affordable price, and I was very satisfied with my stay! Extremely satisfied! Definitely deserves a good review!!"

"Stayed here for two days and it was incredibly comfortable. The place was very clean, and right outside the complex, there's a parking spot for shared bikes, which made getting around the city super convenient. I'll definitely be back next time I visit Turpan."

KKatKKGAfter we encountered a bad experience with a desert glamping resort in Dunhuang, we were a bit cautious with Dune when we booked it. However, after I communicated with the manager in Dune via WeChat, I was more confident as he was very polite and helpful. He helped us to booked a transfer from Turpan Airport to Dune resort. As our flight arrived Turpan in the evening, it was late when we arrived at Dune. The manager and another staff came to the entrance of the driveway to welcome us and helped us with our luggage. They took us straight to our tent, and they upgraded us to a bigger tent, too. We woke up to this beautiful Kumtag Desert Sand dunes, right in front of our tent! It was so beautiful. As the off peak season started, we were the only guests there but the staff were serving us with delicious breakfast and dinner. The food was delicious and plentiful! The manager and staff were very attentive to our requests. One of the staff has helped us to arrange a local guide/driver to take us to the Kumtag desert for an exciting ATV ride and sand sliding. We had a great time. We ended up hiring the same guide, a pleasant and calm Uygur young guy to take us for some sightseeing and dropped us back to Turpan. I would say to anyone who is looking for a real desert glamping, please come to Dune in Shahshan near Turpan instead of Dunhuang.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel reception upgraded me from a room with no window to one with a small window. The room was generally new, and the disposable toiletries were of acceptable quality. However, the room smelled of smoke, the hairdryer was a bit dirty, and the ventilation holes were blocked by lint 🙈. Also, it was incredibly noisy at night; a young man was making noise in the hallway until 2 AM, and I was woken up again in the morning by music from a nearby kindergarten. I'm fed up! The reception staff were friendly, and the cleaning staff were polite. They offered free coffee refills, so overall it was pretty good. However, they need to increase patrols on the lower floors.

Although they could not speak English, they made every good effort to meet all of our needs. The hotel is located in a strip of small businesses and restaurants. It even is directly attached to a convenience store so you don’t need to leave the building for those small necessities. Our stay was pleasant and restful.

I planned to stay in Turpan for one night and leave the next morning. Because of the high temperature in Turpan, I hope that I can eat, drink and play there at night. It’s best to cool down. I have the impression that the temperature of the grape ditch should be lower than that of Turpan, so I booked another homestay on the road. At that time, I searched for the core scenic spot of the grape ditch on the Internet. Trip.com I first recommended that the homestay. I saw the picture above. It is very beautiful and the evaluation is also very good. Especially in the core scenic spot of Grapegou, I saw that the price of that homestay is the most expensive one in Grapegou Homestay. I think that the price is high and I will definitely enjoy a more convenient environment and quality service. When I arrived at around 9:40 that night, I didn’t know why the weather in the grape ditch was already very dark that day. I saw that there was basically nothing around. I couldn’t see any consumption scenes to eat, drink and play at all, even if its design was distinctive, But he really couldn't meet my needs. So I followed the navigation and continued to walk deep into the Grape Valley Scenic Area. I walked about 3 kilometers and arrived at the Dawaz Customs Park. I saw that there were many homestays opposite it. I walked into this blue oyster at will. GGuest UserI am confused how they got so many good reviews after staying here. First, they said offer they tickets to get into Grape Valley and it ended up no tickets are needed. Second, we went out for dinner, restaurants on the right side of the hotel, as the hotel suggested, are 3X more expensive than the normal price. Third, a worker at our hotel offered to drive us to a restaurant but we declined. Later, we found out that he was trying to take us to an overpriced restaurant with no customers. I guess he was looking for a commission from that restaurant. Fourth, we asked one lady in the touristy area, how far is the night market and she said 25 km, we checked on line it was only 7 km away. Even though the room itself was fine, I would advise against staying here or in Grape Valley altogether. Although a visit here for 1 or 2 hours is fine.

GGuest UserVery unique B&B First impression: wooden pavilion, blue bricks and tiles, antique style Check-in experience: The little girl at the front desk was warm and thoughtful. I encountered a small problem when checking into the family room. After communicating with the store, she decisively changed the room and upgraded it for free. It was very heart-warming. My favorite: I like the big terrace on the second floor. It is accompanied by stars at night and shaded by ancient trees during the day. It is so comfortable to drink tea with my family.

AAnonymous UserThe hotel accepts foreigners (as of June 2025). The location is fairly convenient, though not very central. There are shops and restaurants nearby, and even a night market. The room was large and with all the necessary amenities in good condition. The only issue was that the toilet wasn't cleaned well on the first day. The staff was kind. It is possible to store your bag for free. Overall, a good option for foreigners, especially as the hotels available for them in Turpan are limited.

GGuest UserThe hotel is in a good location, easy to find on the main road, with a parking lot, convenient parking. The room is spacious and has new facilities. The room is clean and sanitary. The bathroom is separated into dry and wet areas, and the sink meets hotel standards. The bedding is also very good, and the sleep is very comfortable. The hotel has a washing machine for washing clothes, and the cost performance is very high. I stayed there for a few days while playing in Turpan. The Xinjiang girl at the hotel front desk was warm and polite, and the check-in experience was very good!

RRoszaimyCouldn’t be happier with the stay. Arrived early morning at Turpan rail station and the owner granted early checkin without a fuss. Super convenient given the tiring overnight train journey. Owner was also kind enough to arrange for tour driver for one day sightseeing. The area is awesome! Next door is a local vegetable and fruit shop where things can be purchased super cheaply. Bought a large watermelon (in season) and the owner lent a knife to cut it open. Delicious! The room is great; well appointed, clean, breezy. Only slight issue with the bathroom where the water didn’t drain fast enough so need to shower carefully to prevent overflow into the room. Overall, it was a stay well beyond expectation. The owner was super nice and helpful.
