"Great location! It's right behind a gas station, and the entrance faces away from it, so my friend and I circled around a few times before realizing it was right behind us. The room was huge, honestly the best hotel we stayed at in Semporna, and also the cheapest. The only downside is that it only has stairs. The front desk is staffed 24/7. We had an early flight and needed to leave for the airport around 4:30 AM, but the front desk staff was there to process our deposit refund when we woke them up. It's located near this church."

"We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in Rich villa resort, the resort although not central offer daily shuttle service to and from the main city area which was very convenient. The service providers were quick to respond to messages and the place overall was very nice. The rooms were clean and spacious, and the cats made the stay even more enjoyable!"

"I arrived in Tawau at 3 PM, but the airport didn't allow overnight stays, so I had to head to Semporna three hours earlier. Coincidentally, the front desk staff that day didn't speak Chinese or English, so we communicated using a translation app. It went smoothly; they allowed us to rest in the lobby and use the public restrooms. They were really kind and friendly throughout. After daybreak, we left our luggage there and went island hopping. We checked in upon our return in the evening. The cleanliness was good, and I didn't find any mosquitoes. My only minor regret was not having a place to hang my washed clothes, but thankfully, summer clothes dry quickly. The location is great, with plenty of food and drink options downstairs, including restaurants and supermarkets. Overall, for the price, I was very satisfied. If I go back, I'd definitely consider staying here again. I forgot to take photos of the hotel, so I'll just use my island hopping pictures instead."

"Stay in for a night, no amenities such as toothpaste and toothbrush. The location is ok but no sea view. Need a few steps to reach the boat for snorkeling."

"I wouldn't recommend this place for solo female travelers. I stayed in a double room with a window. I had to carry my luggage up to the third floor. The hallway was quite dirty, accessed through a small glass door. The sheets and duvet covers were very old, and there were tiny spiders on the door that would crawl out when opened or closed. The room had a strong smell of mothballs that gave me a headache, and I barely slept all night. Afterward, I developed a sore throat and a cough, which unfortunately ruined my subsequent island hopping trip."
