"We took our kids to Guizhou for summer vacation to see the giant cauldron and stayed at this hotel in the Astronomical Town. For such a great location, the price of just over 500 yuan during peak season was very reasonable. The hotel design was very thoughtful, with beautiful photo opportunities. The washbasins were large and spotlessly clean, with meticulous attention to detail; even the towels were kept in a sterilizing cabinet. There were several washing machines, and the spin-drying and drying functions were much better than those in Guiyang and Huangguoshu. Breakfast was served at the hotel's own restaurant, and the food was quite good. We also had dinner there; the tofu in the tofu fish dish was incredibly fragrant, and the fish and tofu cooked together were absolutely delicious. "We chose this hotel because of the location. The owner was very kind. She even offered us late check-out if we needed more time visiting Tianyan. We had dinner at their restaurant as well. We ordered a fish and tofu pot and because we had only 2 people, they chose a smaller live fish to cook so that we could finish the dish. They accordingly adjusted the price which we appreciate a lot. The meal was great. Even though they do not serve breakfast, you can find a place for that just a few steps away. Tianyan is amazing."
