"The hotel room was generally clean, and both the air conditioning and hot water worked perfectly. However, the breakfast food was just average. The hotel is located on a street with plenty of bars and restaurants, so dining options are convenient. Despite being in a lively area, our room faced an inner street, so it wasn't noisy at night. Overall, it's good value for the price, and I would consider staying here again."

"Budget hotel in the center of Phnom Penh. Staff are friendly and helpful. Location is good. Surrounded by market, food vendors and mart. You can access to most locations by Tuk Tuk. There is elevator in the building. The room is a bit small, but it is okay for me to stay alone. Hotel could be improve abit in term of smell inside the room. Probably they can spray something to make it smell fresh. Every room has Woden curtains, it doesn’t fully close. So if you are sensitive to the light during sleeping, you might find it so bright. It was good if they can make the curtain fully close because I sometimes find it weird and feel like someone can see me from an outside. Overall it is good"

"This was my first time in Phnom Penh. I don't speak any Khmer, and my English is at a very basic level, so I specifically looked for a Japanese-owned hotel. I chose Azumaya Hotel Phnom Penh because it had a large public bath, affordable massages, Japanese breakfast service, and free access to a washing machine and dryer. * **Public Bath:** Women's bathing hours are after 11 PM. * **Restaurant:** Breakfast is a buffet, but if you're late for the buffet hours, they'll serve you a set meal instead. I really enjoyed the daily changing local fruits and yogurt. * **Massage:** $9 for 40 minutes, with courses up to 100 minutes available. It was so affordable that I used it every day. * **Laundry:** Free of charge, with drum washing machines and large dryers. * **Outlets:** Although the picture shows a Type C plug, Japanese plugs can be used directly. * **Location:** I'm not entirely familiar with Phnom Penh's entertainment district, but a 7-minute tuk-tuk ride will get you to Central Market, Boeung Keng Kang Market, Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum, and the Night Market. There's a Vietnamese convenience store a 2-minute walk away. Starbucks is right in front of the hotel. Within a 1-minute walk, there's a Japanese set meal restaurant, a Vietnamese restaurant, and a Chinese restaurant (which I found a bit pricey). * **Hotel Staff's Japanese Level:** They can handle simple Japanese. More complex conversations might be difficult, but they try their best to assist you. I had emailed the hotel beforehand to confirm the location and facilities, and I received an excellent response in Japanese. * **Currency Exchange:** You can exchange yen for dollars or riel. 10,000 JPY was equivalent to $60. * **Airport Express Bus Stop:** If coming from the airport, get off at Canadia Park (50 minutes from the airport), then it's a 5-10 minute tuk-tuk ride to the hotel. To get to the airport from the city, catch the bus from the University of Health Sciences, which is across the road from Canadia Park. I would definitely stay at Azumaya Hotel again if I visit Phnom Penh in the future. The staff mentioned that almost all guests are Japanese."

What touched me most was the warmth of the service. Upon returning from an outing on the second day, I found my scattered cosmetics neatly arranged on a velvet mat. When I casually inquired about nearby jogging routes, the concierge not only provided a map but also thoughtfully prepared bottled water and a towel. This proactive service truly demonstrated the hotel's deep understanding of guests' needs. During check-out, the front desk proactively inquired about my stay and pre-arranged an express lane. Shortly after leaving, I even received a thank-you email from the hotel with an offer for a future stay – this consistent care throughout my visit surpassed many five-star hotels I've experienced. It's no exaggeration to say that this hotel not only offers top-notch facilities but also created a wonderful travel memory for me with its impeccable attention to detail and genuine hospitality. I would unhesitatingly recommend it to all friends seeking high-quality travel and look forward to returning soon."
