The Paradox Cabin offers an elevated Adirondack cabin experience. Featuring beautiful wood beams, vaulted ceiling, stone gas fireplace, fully stocked kitchen, WIFI and a washer and dryer. Not only is it waterfront on Paradox Lake, but also close proximity to Schroon Lake, Lake George and various hiking trails! There are 2 bedrooms and 1 full bathroom. The main bedroom has a queen size bed that looks out to the lake from the large picture windows. The second bedroom includes a double bed and twin bed. The bathroom has a washer and dryer for your convince. Linens are provided. The front porch is fully screened in with additional dining area and plenty of seating to look at the lake. The waterfront features 10 feet of private shore and dock for renters enjoyment. 3 Kayaks and various water toys are available for your enjoyment. Guests may bring rowboats and canoes, they can easily be tied to the dock (bring your own rope). Please note, jet-skis are not permitted. Looking to bring a motorboat? Send us a message prior to booking, prior permission is a requirement before bringing a boat. We leave our personal motorboat at the dock from time to time, so there is only availability on certain weeks as the dock can only accommodate one boat. Looking to rent a boat just for a day or two? Let us know, we can suggest a local marina only 10 minutes away. Parking is limited to 2 vehicles, there is no overflow parking available nearby as the house is located on a quiet dead end road. Included with your rental are all sheets, bedding and bath towels. A basic starter set of toilet paper, dish soap, garbage bags, and paper towels are supplied, however you may need to replenish those items during your stay.Also included:-Bedding, linens and bath towels (however, please bring your own beach towels)-Gas grill -Fire pit -2 Kayaks and various water toys -Yard games and board games-DVD's and card games-Smart TV to utilize your own tv applications-Pack 'n play and booster seat-There is one window ac unit (available during summer months) located in the queen bedroom. There is a stunning free town beach right in town. The town also includes many restaurants and small shops. The very well known Bolton Landing, located on Lake George, is only a 35 minute drive. Take in the local events, activities and hiking trails the area has to offer. We provide recommendations and information in a guide book that we send to you after booking.Essentials are not far away. Schroon Lake Village has a grocery store. Your private apartment is one of two apartments in the building, and we live in the other in the fall, winter, and spring. You'll have a private entrance, private deck, and the side yard all to yourself. LIVING SPACES - A spacious living room has a smart TV and plenty of room for an air mattress (available upon request) making this apartment suitable for up to 6 guests. The living room has an AC unit powerful enough to cool all the living spaces. The screen porch and deck are perfect hangout spots for your vacation - enjoy the fresh air without the mosquitos!! On the deck, relax in our Adirondack rockers next to a smokeless fire pit in the evening, or watch the town go by with your coffee in the mornings. Fast wifi will meet all your working and entertainment needs!BEDROOMS - The main bedroom has a comfortable king bed, bedroom number 2 has two twin beds. All linens and towels are provided, and extra blankets for all are in the closets. Both bedrooms have window air conditioning units. BATHROOM - features a custom tile shower by a local Adirondack artisan and a free washer/dryer. KITCHEN/DINING - enjoy preparing meals in the fully outfitted kitchen (fridge, stove, oven, toaster oven, coffee maker, pots and pans, utensils), and eat at our unique dining table, also made by a local artisan. OUTDOORS - park 2 vehicles in our large driveway, and you and your family and pets have the side yard all to yourselves. There is one closet that will be locked with the hosts’ personal belongings. The kitchen is equipped with all basic cooking equipment, full size stove and refrigerator & dishwasher and much more! It has a skylight and is open to the living room.The master bedroom has a queen size bed and dresser. The second bedroom has two twin beds and a closet. The third bedroom has a full-size bed and closet. . They are open and bright rooms!There is a patio area with a fire pit available for your use (firewood can be purchased at Stewart’s or various other private locations around).Guest accessYou have access to all but one closet!The laundry facilities are in the basement as well as a ping pong and air-hockey tables! We have had occasional water issues during rainy weather down there :( Please let me know if that happens during your stay. Nothing a towel won’t hold at bay (I have several "junk" towels down there just in case) but frustrating all the same. The basement and yard are both works in progress. We appreciate your patience as we work to make the house and even better experience to stay in. Other things to note:The home is on the street where the fire station is located. Schroon Lake is a very quiet town but there are, of course, emergencies on occasion! The fire whistle can be startling if you don’t know what it is! You’ll notice a few quirks like the unique layout and office buzzers. It sparks imagination about how the doctor lived and practiced here. The house features 4 bedrooms, a sun room, a large mud room and library, 2 full baths, 1 half bath, and 1 standing shower. We’ve recently updated our mattresses and our cleaning crew.
