"This was my first trip to Lhasa, and I chose the Even Hotels family room. The room was spacious, very new, clean, and had a diffuse oxygen supply, which helped us acclimate smoothly during our first night. The front desk and room service staff were all very professional and dedicated, patiently answering all our questions. At 11 PM, they promptly brought us nasal cannulas and an oximeter. The security staff at the parking lot and entrance were also very friendly and helpful, truly making us feel at home. The breakfast was excellent, with a wide variety of options. The hotel's location is also great, making it convenient for getting around. I will definitely recommend this hotel to any friends planning a trip to Lhasa. It's a perfect hotel, a real hidden gem!"

"It's close to Guo Street, making transportation very convenient. The only downside is that the oxygen supply wasn't as good as I expected; I woke up in the middle of the night with a headache."

"Pros: Hotel staff are friendly and the location is close to the main tourist district and the Potala Palace. There are restaurants available near the hotel. One thing was that I communicated with the front desk staff to not disturb me the next morning and that I will let them know when they could clean the room coz I was exhausted due to high altitude sickness and unable to sleep throughout the night, however, the cleaning staff banged on the door at 12 noon asking if they could clean the room. When I booked this hotel on Trip.com, it says also includes one afternoon tea per day, and I booked 9 nights. It turned out isn't true and was not told until I asked the front desk. The hotel staff only responded that in fact the afternoon tea has been cancelled since Dec 2025 and did not provide anything else. With this incident plus laundry only allows 5 pieces/day and doesn't wash inner wear like socks/underwear. I honestly feel that there are a lot more other choices at this price."

"Our room was upgraded to a family room, room 327. To be honest, the hotel is located quite deep in an alley, about a 500-meter walk from the main road... All the room windows are single-paned and looked like they hadn't been cleaned in years... The towels and bath towels were all dated 2023 and weren't very soft anymore. We booked through Ctrip, which helped with the room upgrade and included complimentary breakfast. Don't expect too much from this hotel; it's quite different from a Holiday Inn Express on the mainland. The breakfast was just passable, nothing to write home about. After all those downsides, let's talk about the positives: it's incredibly cheap. Booked on Ctrip during the off-peak season (August 31st - September 3rd), and with a Lhasa culture and tourism subsidy voucher, it came down to about 160 RMB per night. Secondly, you need a key card to access the floors, which makes it quiet and secure. If you're traveling independently and plan to be out sightseeing daily, the location is a bit far. It's about 2.5 km to Potala Palace (15 RMB by taxi) and roughly 3.5 km to Jokhang Temple. Lhasa's cost of living is much higher than Chengdu's. You'll notice it significantly in taxi fares and dining expenses. This was my first visit, and I didn't experience altitude sickness. I found it truly beautiful. Here are a few recommendations: 🚩FYI: I didn't take Rhodiola before entering Tibet and didn't experience altitude sickness upon landing. The hotel I stayed at upon arrival didn't provide oxygen, and I didn't even buy an oxygen tank, yet I adapted just fine. So, flying into Tibet is the most relaxed way. Traveling by train or self-driving is exhausting, and you're just as likely to get altitude sickness anyway. 🔹Attractions: Potala Palace, Jokhang Temple, Ramoche Temple, Sera Monastery, Tibet Museum, Princess Wencheng Show, Chakpori Hill viewpoint, Barkhor Street... I recommend exploring at your own pace, taking it easy... stopping frequently and avoiding strenuous exercise. 🔸Food: Sichuan cuisine dominates. Aside from those speaking *******, everyone else speaks Sichuan dialect. Goods are not easy to transport in, so prices are comparable to first-tier cities. The air is dry and UV radiation is incredibly strong... I didn't get a tan all summer, but two days here turned me completely dark! The front desk staff were warm and attentive, offering thoughtful advice on high-altitude travel during check-in and serving warm Rhodiola tea. The hotel also provides a complimentary ******* clothing experience and professional photography service. In the charming Tibetan-style courtyard, every photo turns out like a masterpiece. On Tuesday afternoons, you can even join 'A-Jia' (******* elder sister) to experience making 'tsampa' (a ******* staple food), which is a truly memorable activity."

"I stayed at this hotel in Lhasa for several consecutive nights! What I loved most was the super spacious Tibetan-style courtyard on the first floor. I was absolutely mesmerized the moment I walked in! You can dine, enjoy sweet tea, afternoon tea, pet cats… In short, it’s perfect for leisurely spending time in Lhasa. The hotel is right on the Barkhor Street kora path, just a 3-minute walk to Jokhang Temple! I heard this used to be the Nepalese Consulate 400 years ago, and now it's the Gesar Japo Museum! Carvings, murals, and antique objects are everywhere. Exploring this heritage-listed ******* ancient building truly feels like stepping back in time. Upon check-in, there's a traditional Hada presentation. The staff are so warm and helpful, even assisting with luggage. They also offer complimentary ******* traditional clothing for photos. In the room, there's a special high-altitude welcome kit: facial masks, hair essential oil, makeup remover wipes, and more… so thoughtful for female guests! The hotel offers a self-service breakfast. It's a tranquil oasis amidst the hustle and bustle, truly a master of creating a wonderful atmosphere! 🏡"

The recommended accommodation is Yutuo Road, which is very convenient for walking to the Potala Palace and Jokhang Temple. 3. There is a humidifier and diffused oxygen generator. Please note that the altitude is 0 for normal working condition. 4. To the right of the Bank of China entrance, there is a nice supermarket and fruit stand. 5. I found long hair on the bed. "I highly recommend the Dong Mawha Hotel! Its location is excellent, making it super convenient for getting around and finding places to eat. The room was spotless, free of any strange odors, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The soundproofing was also fantastic. The front desk staff were incredibly warm and efficient with both check-in and check-out. The value for money here is simply amazing, I can't recommend it enough! The thoughtful details really stood out: a Kung Fu tea set, an instant hot water dispenser, a washer-dryer combo, a Dyson hairdryer, and they even provided a weighing scale and bathrobes.
