"Perched on a cliff, the views from this guesthouse are, of course, incredible. The only minor workout is the uphill walk back after exploring, haha. To the left of the guesthouse entrance, you'll quickly reach Xiyang Bay, boasting super beautiful scenery. Turn right and head downhill; a short walk following your navigation will lead you directly to the town center. The large swimming pool features a swing chair, perfect for sitting in the evening, enjoying the sea breeze, and watching the sunset. It's incredibly relaxing, as the platform offers wide, unobstructed views. Our room was spacious, very clean, and comfortable. The only slight hiccup was the balcony door; I couldn't figure out how to open it for a long time, and the front desk eventually had to come up and show me. Otherwise, everything else was perfectly fine. Each room receives two complimentary drinks; just ask the bar. They also provide a convenient free pier shuttle service. All my photos were taken within the guesthouse grounds. There's no need to even step out; you can easily spend hours capturing beautiful shots right here. The lower level, in particular, has a wonderful Moroccan vibe. On checkout day, the kind lady at the bar noticed me waiting for my driver and thoughtfully brought me a complimentary slice of watermelon."

"Living on the ninth floor, it is quite quiet at night. It is very comprehensive to eat, drink and play around. There is a supermarket downstairs, normal price. Eat and drink nearby, it is very convenient to go out to play attractions, Jihu Beach and Nanchangtu Beach can take a taxi."

"We had a lovely stay at Sea Cliff Hotel for May 1st break. This is what I liked: - buying ship ticket for May holiday was mission impossible, starting with Tickets App not accepting foreign passports. Hotel helped me with arranging the tickets both ways, even after there were no tickets online (sold out in 20 min) - they arranged a pick us up on arrival and brought us back to the pier on departure - hotel has an excellent sea view location, very silent and sea centric rooms, same for restaurant - everything is modern, I specifically liked ability to share Apple screens on TV in the room, great way to review photos and watch own movies in the evening - good breakfast 8 to 9AM, you can come 8:45 and enjoy a late breakfast as well; we also had late lunch in hotel restaurant on arrival, great food, great to seat outside, flexible working hours (not closed 14-17!), actually I liked their meals more than what we had on the main beach top restaurant, finally reception can brew you a coffee though bit hot - there is 20 min walk from the hotel for a great bay and coffee place to watch sunset, excellent experience and no need to wake up early - hotel was always online on WeChat to address any issues or questions, including how to organize a day, fantastic services! - hotel has own beach area, looks like good to swim, I will consider for summer, water is clean on the island, and this is just couple of hours from Shanghai - small drawback: fishing boats pass by from early morning, this may disturb your morning sleep ;) - other thing the bed is a bit too hard for my back, but where did you see soft beds in China? Overall: highly recommended!"

"This guesthouse, perched on a hill, seems to be quite popular with influencers, featuring many Instagrammable photo spots. Both the rooms and the restaurant boast floor-to-ceiling windows overlooking the sea, with the rooms directly facing the Rainbow Lighthouse. The restaurant's view is also fantastic; having breakfast with that sea view in the morning is incredibly enjoyable. Unfortunately, the weather on our first day was terrible, with strong winds and heavy rain, which completely dampened my enthusiasm for taking photos. I imagine it would be amazing to visit in the summer! The in-room amenities were a bit lacking; perhaps to maintain a stylish look, there weren't many power outlets. However, the service attitude was absolutely superb—they were always ready to help. They even gave plenty of advice to us fishing novices who were enthusiastic but unskilled. I must also mention the free pick-up and drop-off service, which saved us a good amount of money, considering that taxi fares on Shengshan and Gouqi Islands can be quite expensive. The recommended driver was also very nice. I'd definitely come back in the summer just for this level of service!"

When we checked in, she said that the water heater in this room would make noises from time to time, and suggested that we turn it off after using the water heater (air-energy water heater). The housekeeper was very considerate and told us how to book the next ferry ticket and even brought some dog food for the dog. The only drawback may be that there are too many steps. We originally booked Building 4, which has an elevator in the lobby. Because of the water pipe problem in Building 4, we upgraded to Building 6 before moving in. Although Building 6 has the highest view and the best view, it is indeed the farthest building and has too many steps, which is not very friendly to the elderly.
