We had a wonderful two day stay. There weren’t many guests around on the dates we stayed, so it felt like we had the place to ourselves. The hotel offered a shuttle golf buggy to the beach and nearby places which was a bonus. It rained heavily while we at the beach so staff picked us up in a car. I have already recommended the hotel to a friend! Staff: Friendly, helpful and attentive. Breakfast: Fresh and healthy, served in the outside coffee/bar summer house. Afternoon Tea: Tasty fruit, fresh juice, local biscuits. Hotel surroundings: The garden is planted thoughtfully and kept tidy. It was nice to have the open covered seating area to rest and read a book. The furniture is good quality and comfy. Swimming pool is a nice size and clean apart from some surface bugs. (it’s not easy to keep all flies/insects out off the pool in a hot place) Dog friendly hotel, the owner’s puppy was super cute! Room: Super view over the mountains. Large balcony. Furniture, towels, toiletries and bedding all high quality. Decor tasteful and modern. Everything felt reasonably new and in good repair. Surrounding area: Quiet village, plenty of places to eat or get coffee. Only cons: Coffee is not included as standard with the breakfast. When it rains the cushions on the balcony’s outside furniture oget wet so you can’t sit on them for some time. I personally didn’t like that you could see into the ground floor rooms from the outside seating and sunbathing areas.

Facilities: Extremely well-equipped. The bedding was super comfortable, and they had all the essential kids' amenities. Hygiene: Spotless. I walked barefoot upon check-in and didn't feel a single speck. The pool was cleaned and skimmed daily, and the water was crystal clear with no debris. Environment: Beautiful! There's a heart-shaped pool, and the overall decor has a lovely Southeast Asian vibe. Our room's balcony opened directly onto the pool canal, which was perfect for kids to play in. Service: Every staff member was incredibly patient. They kindly upgraded our room for free when they saw we had two babies. They actively helped with our luggage and even assisted with looking after our 6-month-old baby, which was incredibly thoughtful and warm. Overall, the food and drinks were all great and perfectly suited our tastes. While it's a bit far from local attractions, it's very quiet and comfortable. This hidden gem of a guesthouse was a pleasant surprise! The experience was fantastic, and I'll definitely be back!

The hotel is at the innermost part of the island, quiet, and convenient for parking. If you drive, the hotel will reimburse the parking fee. Just got back from Wanning, so I'm posting this review while it's fresh. First, the conclusion: if you care about your vacation experience and local sightseeing, I don't recommend coming here. Here's why: 1. **Location**: The hotel is on an island in Riyue Bay. After exiting the highway, you'll drive down a narrow beach road popular for surfing. This road is often lined with parked cars, and electric scooters weave through, making it very easy to get stuck in traffic when encountering oncoming vehicles. During peak tourist season, it becomes unbearable, making travel a huge problem. 2. **Lack of Activities**: Apart from the Sunac Chapel, there's basically nothing else to do on the island. There are no beaches suitable for swimming; the actual beaches are outside the island. 3. **Subpar Service**: The hotel's service isn't attentive or detailed enough. (1) The hotel is split into two buildings, A and B, with another building under renovation. When our taxi dropped us off at Building B, we were completely lost, not knowing where to check-in (a sign pointing to Building A would have been helpful here). (2) Buildings A and B are not connected. Guests staying in Building B have to go outdoors to get to Building A for breakfast. During the National Day holiday, we encountered a typhoon with heavy rain, and walking around with an umbrella at the hotel felt incredibly awkward and inconvenient. (3) During check-in, the front desk assigned us a room that was already occupied. A bewildered man suddenly appeared in the room, making the situation extremely awkward. After a long and tiring journey involving planes, high-speed trains, and taxis, encountering this made me very angry. Later, a manager-level staff member came to calm us down, offering a room upgrade and a fruit platter. Overall, the staff (e.g., breakfast staff playing on their phones) and the environment gave me the impression that the hotel isn't really committed to operating well; it felt more like a guesthouse in terms of quality. So, perhaps you should reconsider your room rates.

I stumbled upon this hotel while seeking shelter from the rain. The young lady at the front desk was exceptionally warm, attentive, and thoughtful. My room was spotless and comfortable, and the surroundings were elegant and quiet. The breakfast offered a wide variety of choices, all fresh and delicious. To the left of the hotel is the popular ”Malt” internet-famous photo spot, and directly in front is the beach where many people were surfing 🏄. There are plenty of local eateries nearby, and the streets come alive at night with a great bar atmosphere. Overall, my stay was very satisfying!

Every time I go to Xinglong, I basically stay at Zhongao Hotel. The greenery and ecology of the community are great, and it has a Southeast Asian style. Each small villa also has a swimming pool, which is perfect. The nearby attractions are very close to each other if you drive a car. I mention this Let's experience it.
