"Facilities: This was our first time bringing our child to Phuket. We initially booked The Emerald in Karon, but then I read reviews saying that while it was new, the pool felt a bit cramped between the two buildings. So, I checked out more reviews and decisively switched to the established Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort, which has a more resort-like vibe! It boasts a super large pool water park, and there's even a dedicated children's area with a small water slide 🛝 for toddlers, which is fantastic! Cleanliness: As an older five-star hotel, the decor is a bit dated, so the rooms feel a little old, but overall cleanliness is quite good. There were no issues with small animals or anything like that, unlike some online reviews suggested. Environment: As always, I've attached pictures; beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Service: The front desk service was excellent. We booked island hopping tours daily, and they picked us up at the front desk each day. On the first day, I was unfamiliar with the area and worried about finding the driver, so a staff member proactively helped us check our itinerary and contacted the driver via phone to clarify things in Thai! Thumbs up! One more thing I absolutely must mention: The Old Phuket Karon Beach Resort's location is arguably the most convenient in the Karon area. Right outside, there's a small commercial street with massage parlors, fruit stalls, Thai food, and seafood – everything you could want! Plus, turn right out of the hotel and walk just 30 meters, and you're at the stunning Karon Beach in minutes. There's also a 🚌 bus stop right outside that goes to Phuket Town, which is much more convenient than Centara Karon Resort Phuket!"

"We stayed at this hotel for 17 days. We originally booked for two nights, but we loved it so much that we decided to extend our stay! There's a great night market just a 5-minute walk away, a fantastic 7-Eleven, currency exchange, massage places, and restaurants nearby 🍀. The staff are very polite and friendly. The room was cleaned daily, and towels were changed regularly! The rooms are clean, and the pool is large and clean as well. The grounds are very well-maintained ❤️ Thank you so much for our wonderful vacation 💋. The location is also very convenient! The construction outside the window was a bit bothersome, but overall, it wasn't a major issue."

"We stayed at this hotel for 2 nights with our child. On the downside, there was a slight sewage smell in the room. When housekeeping came to clean, we asked them to come back in 10 minutes, but they only showed up 2 hours later when our child was asleep. The room itself was clean and had everything we needed. The staff were friendly and responsive. We were particularly impressed with the play area, the clean swimming pool, the restaurant with its wide (and delicious!) selection of dishes, and the room with a PlayStation, billiards, and foosball. There's also a gym. It's an excellent option for families with children, and they've also thought of everything for guests with pets. We left very satisfied!"

"Very spacious room with a huge and comfortable bed. It's just a minute's walk to the sea, and the view from the pool is simply wow! 😍 It's a shame, though, that during our stay, the pool only operated until 7 PM. The staff are very friendly and polite. Everything you need is nearby: hundreds of restaurants for every taste, tour desks, massage parlors, laundry services, and many other entertainments. By the way, downstairs in the food court, there's a Shabu buffet restaurant with unlimited meat, sushi, and rolls. I recommend visiting that too. The room is cleaned daily, and the bed linen and all towels are changed every day. We really liked the hotel. The only downside, which we managed to fix ourselves within a couple of days, was a musty smell upon check-in. We asked to change rooms, but there were no available rooms in the same category. So, we turned on the air conditioner to dehumidifier mode and left it on for 24 hours. I can attribute this to the low, rainy season, and most likely, no one had stayed in our room for a while. Overall, I recommend this hotel."

"My booking was split into two separate reservations: the first was for two consecutive nights, and the last was for a single night, totaling three nights. **Ambiance:** It's perfect for families with children, though it's a bit lacking in terms of a 'holiday vibe.' But for 400 baht, what more can you ask for? **Service:** Basic communication was fine, and the front desk assigned rooms as needed. **Facilities:** The water park is the main highlight and definitely worth visiting. It's especially great for kids aged 9-13 who are independent enough to fully enjoy it. **Cleanliness:** Housekeeping cleaned the room daily. I always left a 20 baht tip, but they didn't fold the elephant towels this time. If you're planning to take a taxi from here to major shopping areas like Jungceylon, I highly recommend using Bolt. For solo travelers, a motorbike is convenient and inexpensive, but for families, a taxi is more practical. There's a direct bus outside that goes to Phuket Town or Phuket Airport, which is very convenient if you're looking for a cheaper way to travel."

"We were absolutely thrilled with this hotel! This was our first trip to Thailand, and we have no regrets whatsoever about choosing this place. We even got a free room upgrade. Check-in took literally 5 minutes, and they helped us with our luggage. The front desk staff were always incredibly sweet and polite, explaining everything thoroughly. If we ever needed a towel, slippers, or even just to heat up some food, they were always happy to help. Our room was cleaned daily and was spotless. We had a comfortable king-size bed, crisp white linens, and pillows that were perfect for me. The view from the rooftop pool deserves a poem of its own – the sunsets were simply incredible! The hotel is surrounded by numerous shops and massage parlors, everything you need is right at your fingertips. There's also a night market just a 7-minute walk away. We will definitely be returning here for our next trip!"

The room was spotless, the pool was great, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. The only issue was that our room door wouldn’t lock properly with the key, which should definitely be fixed. Aside from that, everything else was excellent. I’d happily stay here again and would recommend it to anyone looking for a clean, budget-friendly place with a nice pool."
