"For the latter half of our trip to Phuket, we switched to the Marina Phuket Resort, nestled between Kata and Karon beaches. Firstly, this hotel boasts a traditional Thai style, built on a hillside with a rich tropical rainforest vibe. Strolling through the grounds feels like being immersed in a romantic jungle. The architecture is distinctly Thai, and the landscaping offers beautiful scenery at every turn. What truly stands out is that the rear of the hotel connects directly to Karon Beach. Come sunset, gazing out at the horizon, the crimson twilight merges with the sea, waves caress the golden sand, and the dark cliff rocks add to a stunning, unparalleled view. You can walk along the soft, fine sand or enjoy playing in the water – it's perfect. Next door, there's a restaurant that hosts fireworks and fire-breathing shows in the evenings, so if your timing is right, you can enjoy them for free. Secondly, the hotel's service is generally attentive and gentle, very much in the Thai style – perfect for a relaxed, slow-paced vacation. Guests receive complimentary dinner daily at the Red Chopsticks restaurant right outside, offering a fusion of cuisines that's pretty decent. Breakfast is served by the pool, though the selection isn't extensive. Finally, I personally feel this hotel is better suited for older families or couples seeking a quiet retreat. For families with young children, there aren't many play areas, and due to its hillside location, it might be inconvenient for the elderly to move around."

"What a Lovely Stay! This is actually the first hotel I’ve ever reviewed on Trip.com, and I really wanted to share my experience because this place truly impressed me. The hotel is spacious, clean, well-organized, and very comfortable. Everything feels thoughtfully managed, and the staff are all incredibly polite, friendly, and welcoming. They were always happy to help and provided complete and useful information whenever I had questions. The room itself had everything I needed, so I honestly didn’t feel the need to go outside at all. You could easily spend the whole day at the hotel and still have plenty to do. There are working spaces, baking facilities, a swimming pool, ping-pong tables, mountain and island activities, and many other things to enjoy within the property. I especially loved the green spaces around the hotel. The atmosphere is peaceful, refreshing, and really relaxing. There are also bicycles available for free, which made exploring the area even more enjoyable and convenient. The location is another big plus. It’s close to 7-Eleven and various local shops, so getting snacks, drinks, or anything you might need is very easy. Overall, I had a wonderful experience here. The combination of a beautiful and spacious property, friendly staff, great facilities, peaceful surroundings, and a convenient location made my stay really comfortable. "If you're staying in the annex building, be careful of the long, steep slope. We saw a guest's luggage slide down from there and hit someone. Please make sure to store your personal belongings safely in your room. Other than that, everything else was good, and the pool was great. The room was spacious enough too. Just remember to run the bath water first to make sure there's no yellow discoloration."

"very good service . rooms were comfortable as the beds . location is further back from patong Beach and elevated on mountain side. Great views from roof top pool . elevator was good . . can walk 5 nin down hill to 711 and shops . could easily walk to beach but a bike is easier."

"We put a lot of thought into choosing our hotel and were so glad we picked the Sawasdee in the end. As soon as you step in from the street, you enter a completely different world. The grounds are beautifully designed – so much greenery and water. Especially in the dark, when everything is wonderfully lit up – just stunning. We had a room with pool access, which was very pleasant. The rooms were spacious and everything was clean. The housekeeping staff were truly working from morning until evening. Breakfast was also excellent. There was something for everyone. You could have scrambled eggs or an omelet freshly prepared. A huge thank you to the lady who made our mornings so delightful every day. There was also fruit and warm Thai dishes, French toast, pancakes – I can't even list everything. Our special thanks also go to the bellboys. They always had a kind word for us, joked around, and gave us tips. We can't praise the entire staff enough. It was truly a unique experience and hopefully not our last. One more thing comes to mind. We had to leave very early due to our schedule and received a wonderful packed lunch. Thank you for that too. Keep up the great work. You can tell you all enjoy your jobs."

"This hotel was the first stop on my trip, and I arrived with high expectations, only to be thoroughly disappointed! First, I have to commend the hotel's facilities, which are new, clean, and the rooms aren't damp. However, the service attitude was terrible. From the young lady at the front desk to the restaurant staff serving breakfast and afternoon tea, everyone looked unhappy! During my three-day stay, I had breakfast twice. Each time, the staff were arrogant and rude. Breakfast was order-based, and the food came out incredibly slowly. On the first day, we waited an hour and a half for breakfast, and only two dishes arrived. We couldn't wait any longer, so we told the waiter not to bother with the remaining two dishes as we were in a hurry. The second day, there were three of us. Knowing how slow the service was, my child and I opted for desserts, and only my husband ordered a Spanish omelet. We still waited 45 minutes, and the restaurant's air conditioning was freezing. I was so angry! The restaurant wasn't even busy, so I don't understand why it took so long! Since we had to pass by this restaurant every time we left, and heard they offered continuous snacks and afternoon tea, we tried to get afternoon tea three times, but never managed to get any. The first time, a male waiter curtly said: 'Come back in five minutes!' It was 5:27 PM, and afternoon tea started at 5:30 PM. I was infuriated by his attitude; I wasn't even trying to take anything, just looking to see what was available! But there was a language barrier, so we left. It was pretty much the same every time after that. I was shocked! For such an excellent service industry in Phuket, to have such rude staff is unbelievable. On the second day, because of the long wait for breakfast, I was clearly upset. The waiter noticed and actually slammed a plate near me, seemingly as an act of defiance! I admit the hotel's accommodations are good, but I didn't feel welcome at all, which was very upsetting! I've stayed at other hotels before and never felt this way! When I checked out, I wrote my complaints in the guestbook, and I'm leaving my first negative review here too! Oh, and while the living environment was good, the LG air conditioner in the room made a huge noise when it hadn't reached the target temperature, especially noticeable in the middle of the night."

"The hotel design from outside is not bad, trying to resemble SG Marina Bay Sands hotel 😅 But of course it’s far from it. Don’t have much complain about the hotel. It’s decent, except the noise from the roads you can hear inside the room for those facing the roads."

"The accommodation is beautiful and worth the price. It's right by the beach, with convenience stores nearby and close to entertainment venues. You can walk to Bangla Road and also easily access the beachfront."
