"This stay was on the night before leaving Beihai at the end of our trip. The Wyndham's room was very spacious and clean. The breakfast was also excellent. When we checked out, the staff enthusiastically helped us with our luggage to the car, so the service was great. The only downside was that the hairdryer in the room was very old-fashioned, making for a very unpleasant experience. I suggest they update it immediately to keep up with the times. (The other hotels we stayed at in Beihai and Weizhou Island all had Dyson hairdryers.) In comparison, this one felt very subpar and didn't match the hotel's positioning."

"This hotel is right next to Silver Beach, and the location is fantastic. They even have a private access path directly to the beach. The front desk staff were incredibly welcoming and helpful; Ms. T, in particular, gave us a detailed introduction to all the hotel's amenities and even helped me fix an unexpected issue with my phone. It was such a thoughtful touch. The breakfast hours are also very accommodating, from 6:30 AM to 11:00 AM, which is perfect for late risers. It truly lives up to Marriott's reputation. The balcony in our room offered stunning views of Beihai's Silver Beach. This place is definitely worth another visit."

"This has to be the most highly recommended luxury hotel in Beihai. The location is excellent, the facilities are new, and the rooms are cozy. The food is also a rare find – delicious and great value for money. The infinity pool, outdoor pool, pet park, and the kids' club on the 7th floor are perfect for families, and there's even a bubble show in the pool in the afternoon, which kids absolutely love. A big thank you to the front desk lady who upgraded us to a sea view room, offering direct views of the most beautiful part of Silver Beach. I also want to commend the two gentlemen who led the morning beachcombing activity; they taught us detailed techniques and went above and beyond to help us collect shells and catch crabs, making sure we had a plentiful haul. We will definitely choose Hualuxe again next time."

"Traveling with my child, staying at the Crowne Plaza was incredibly convenient. We were right next to Silver Beach Yuyou Plaza, which made it super easy to go clam digging and play in the sand. The hotel has a self-service laundry room, and there's even staff to help with washing and drying, which was a huge plus. The complimentary morning tea voucher was legitimate – no hidden catches – and the morning tea itself was delicious and plentiful. Breakfast was also very diverse. My child and I would usually have breakfast at the hotel, and that would basically cover us until dinner. The evening buffet was also quite extensive, with excellent service and a great selection of seafood."

"This guesthouse exceeded my expectations. It's currently the best guesthouse I've stayed at in Beihai. I really liked the decor; it has a wabi-sabi feel, but the colors aren't dark or somber. The handcrafted details are quite nice. The cleanliness was excellent, comparable to five-star hotels I've stayed in. Although it's a guesthouse, there was absolutely no unpleasant odor. The environment was truly fantastic. I saw the sunset from the hotel's rooftop terrace and outdoor cinema, and even witnessed the sunrise the next morning – it was wonderful. I'll definitely stay there again next time."

"The Furama Hotel Beihai left me with such wonderful memories! The beachfront room offered expansive views, and lying in bed watching the sea was incredibly therapeutic. The room decor was exquisite, amenities complete, and cleanliness impeccable. From the concierge to room service, everyone was attentive and thoughtful, making me feel so comfortable. The hotel's location is excellent, convenient for exploring the surroundings, and it offers a peaceful retreat despite being centrally located. My day there was tranquil and relaxing – truly a top-notch five-star hotel in Beihai. I highly recommend it to anyone visiting Beihai!"

"The biggest highlight of this hotel is undoubtedly our butler, Lulu. Before our arrival, she proactively contacted me to understand our needs and went above and beyond to fulfill them. She was incredibly helpful with anything she could coordinate and actively sought solutions for things beyond her direct control – truly commendable! 👍 During our stay, she was incredibly responsive and efficient in booking activities and arranging a late check-out. So, these 5 stars are definitely for our butler. Another great point is the lifeguard at the pool; they are, without a doubt, the most responsible I've ever encountered at a hotel. They diligently watched the pool every single minute, never getting distracted. The staff at the kids' activities also did a fantastic job, engaging with every child and ensuring everyone felt included. On the downside, the room cleaning could be improved. The non-slip mat in the bathtub had a greasy film underneath (though when I informed the butler, she immediately resolved it and provided disposable bath liners). Replenishment of amenities was also inconsistent. The hot food at the executive lounge was disappointing and didn't match the quality expected from a five-star hotel at this price point. Lastly, the kids' club was very small and lacked proper ventilation."

"Traveling with two children, the location is very close to the passenger port. Thank you to Xiao Zhang from the reservation department for upgrading the room. The check-in was quick and the room was clean. There were fresh fruits in the room every day and many extra bottles of water were given every day. I have eaten breakfast, Chinese food, and buffet in the hotel. The breakfast is quite satisfactory. The Chinese food is plentiful and reasonably priced, but the waiters in the Chinese restaurant are not as enthusiastic as the front desk and appear to be slack. The buffet is okay. The good food stall on the left side of the north gate of the hotel is good, and it feels better than the internet celebrity restaurant Yuexiang Kitchen in Qiaogang Fengqing Street."

"## Facilities While the facilities are a bit dated and you can see some wear and tear on the decor, the hotel's spotlessly clean environment is a major plus. The hotel boasts an outdoor pool, indoor pool, children's play area, gym, and more. For families with children, Kaiyuan's amenities are far superior to Marriott's. They offer free swim rings, complimentary mosquito bite relief, alcohol wipes, eyeglass cleaning pads, and band-aids – a level of detail that's truly impressive. ## Hygiene Guest rooms and public areas are cleaned meticulously, and bath towels are replaced promptly. Overall, the hygiene is excellent. ## Ambiance The lobby is stunning, featuring a modern Chinese aesthetic that's incredibly photogenic – perfect for snapping some great pictures. While not as sprawling as some Sanya resorts, the hotel is compact yet complete. It features a wedding lawn, and you can reach the beach via a short walk from the back entrance. What's more, there's a convenient foot-washing station by the back door for rinsing off sand after a beach stroll. ## Service They offer butler service, with a butler meant to greet guests upon arrival. However, our experience started poorly: when we arrived, our assigned butler was absent, leading to a long wait. We were in the main entrance lobby, but the butler seemed confused about its location, insisting on waiting at the front desk area for check-in. She never came to greet us at the actual entrance lobby, despite our initial phone conversation confirming a 'meet-and-greet' service. This discrepancy from what was promised was frustrating and caused a significant delay. I eventually had to find the butler myself. Even when she finally did assist with check-in, there was no expedited process; it was just like a regular guest checking in. Up to this point, her role felt largely ineffective. It was only *after* check-in that the butler's true value became apparent. She guided us to our room, provided a comprehensive overview of the hotel's facilities, essential check-in information, dining options and timings, beach safety tips, and even local Beihai attractions. Her response to our request for extra children's toiletries was impressively swift. Kudos to Butler Liu Fang for her subsequent excellent service! ## Lobby Bar Buffet Afternoon Tea The lobby bar offers a daily buffet afternoon tea. No reservations are needed; you can simply drop in anytime. ## Travel Photography Service (1 session) We also tried the travel photography service, and the results were quite good! Although two photos were complimentary, the quality was so exceptional that we ended up splurging 698 RMB on 13 retouched photos, with all digital negatives included. ## Breakfast Breakfast was extensive, featuring a delightful mix of Chinese and Western dishes. They also offered local Beihai specialties like shrimp cakes, *shuihe* (a local pastry), and *juanfen* (rice noodle rolls). The highlight for us was the boiled rice noodles, which were incredibly tasty, and you could add as many condiments and toppings as you liked."

"First off, I have to say that the Sheraton Beihai is the absolute top hotel in Beihai. I especially want to give a shout-out to Ella and Cathy, who are front desk staff and akin to hotel butlers. Their service is professional yet warm, making you feel incredibly comfortable. This trip was with my girlfriend, and as soon as we entered the hotel, we were captivated by the massive glass wall in the lobby, offering an uninterrupted view of the endless, azure sea. The hotel is located within the National Forest Park, a location unparalleled by any other hotel. It truly offers ocean-front rooms. Our room was large and spacious, with luxurious, elegant, and comfortable decor, featuring a wonderful coastal design and numerous thoughtful details. The most impressive aspect, though, was the attitude of the staff. Everyone at the hotel had an excellent demeanor – that's the charm of the Marriott brand, and I believe this Sheraton embodies it perfectly. Downstairs, there's the hotel's private beach, which is uncrowded and beautiful. The accompanying Sunset Restaurant also has a fantastic ambiance. Listening to music with the sea breeze, enjoying a drink while watching the sunset against the backdrop of Guantouling Beach is simply blissful. Despite being on a hill, the hotel's location makes it convenient to get anywhere. There are staff at the entrance who help with luggage and open/close doors, which is an excellent touch. Even ordering late-night takeout was super fast. I also want to praise the hotel breakfast – it was incredibly delicious! You absolutely *must* try the hotel's noodles; they have a unique flavor. From my personal experience, if you're planning a vacation or holiday in Beihai, the Sheraton is definitely the best choice. Whether it's the location, environment, service, experience, facilities, luxury, cleanliness, or the sense of privacy and seclusion, I honestly believe it's absolutely outstanding!"
