"This hotel offers exceptional service for its price point. Upon arrival, someone immediately assisted us with our luggage, and the lovely front desk staff escorted us to our room. The service was effortlessly attentive whenever we needed anything. I also have to commend the breakfast – the live kitchen cooked fresh dishes on the spot, with no shortcuts taken, and refills were prompt. We visited on a weekday, and they didn't compromise on food quality just because there were fewer guests. The rice noodles were delicious! Every breakfast item showcased local specialties while maintaining great flavor. They even had freshly grilled steaks, and the chefs were all smiles, which really brightened our day. It was very hot in Guilin in July, and my child spent an hour in the 5th-floor pool. They thoughtfully activated the wave machine for us! Even though the pool is small, it was perfectly adequate for kids to have fun, and they provided inner tubes and kickboards. The room itself was even better – we had a direct view of the Twin Pagodas. It rained that evening in Guilin, and the Twin Pagodas in the rain were absolutely stunning. I must praise the sofa on the balcony; it was incredibly comfortable! You could practically sleep on it – not those stiff, uncomfortable types of sofas, which shows real attention to detail. The room offered views of the Twin Pagodas, the lake, and the surrounding mountains in the distance; the scenery was breathtaking! This will definitely be our first choice next time we visit Guilin!"

"The hotel's location is excellent, with many attractions within walking distance. The pedestrian street is right behind it, making for a pleasant stroll to Jiefang Bridge after dinner in the evening. I absolutely have to give Mila a five-star review! She was incredibly patient during our discussions, listened attentively to my ideas, and offered appropriate suggestions. She's meticulous and responsible, handling every detail perfectly."

"The hotel stay was very comfortable, and the location is excellent. All the hotel staff were very friendly, and our butler was incredibly attentive. For both nights we stayed, they offered a selection of complimentary teas delivered right to our door. After checking out, my friend's child accidentally left their smartwatch in the room, and the butler kindly helped us mail it for free via SF Express to our hotel in Yangshuo. The service attitude is truly exceptional. I will definitely choose this hotel again next time I visit Guilin! The complimentary travel photography service provided by the hotel was also great. The photographer was very friendly and professional."

"The staff were attentive and thoughtful, the room was clean, and the amenities were exquisite. The lake view from the window, complemented by the bridge, was truly picturesque. I particularly loved the unique retro charm of Baigongguan, a hotel with a Republic of China era theme. The lobby showcased antique pianos, old phonographs, yellowed old photo frames, and brown retro leather sofas... It truly captured the essence of both the Republic of China era and the stunning Li River landscape. I wish I had more time to stay a few more days to fully immerse myself in the culture and characteristics of that period."

"If you are still looking for a hotel in Guilin, you can stop searching I rarely write such detailed reviews but this place really deserves it Everything here is amazing - from the location to the service. Every little detail is carefully thought out to make your stay comfortable, relaxing, and stress-free The staff impressed me the most. They notice small details and truly care about guests. At first, I was surprised that even staff members I had never met before already knew my room number. It was a little funny and unexpected 😄 But like this you understand the high level of the service Everyone was so kind to me and always ready to help 🥺 Even if someone doesn’t speak English, they quickly use a translator and do their best to solve any problem The room is beautiful and very comfortable. The bed and pillows are probably one of my favorite parts of the stay - I honestly did not want to leave them! The room has everything you need for a relaxing stay, including nice Chinese tea, coffee, and many small details that make you feel at home like bath salt. Another very useful detail for travelers is the free self-service laundry. When you travel for a longer time, having a place where you can easily wash your clothes is a huge advantage The breakfast was also a wonderful surprise. While traveling around China, I often found that hotel breakfasts were mostly focused on Chinese food, which can sometimes be difficult for international travelers. Here, there is also a great Western breakfast with enough choices Another amazing part is the number of complimentary experiences included in the stay. Fresh fruits every day, afternoon drinks with desserts, cultural activities, and more. Sometimes there are so many things to enjoy that you don’t even want to leave the hotel😅 I especially loved the Chinese calligraphy experience. Writing calligraphy while two lovely parrots sometimes came to sit on my shoulder felt like a real journey into traditional Chinese culture. You can also create small handmade souvenirs, which makes the experience even more memorable The location is perfect, with incredible mountain views all around. And one small detail that I really appreciated: the panoramic windows are always perfectly clean. In many hotels, beautiful views are ruined by dirty windows, but here you can fully enjoy the scenery P.S.: just one small suggestion it would be great to have a “Do not disturb” sign. Some guests may want to have some private time and make sure that nobody enters the room"

"The Waterfall Hotel and the Great Waterfall Hotel are actually two different-starred hotels within the same building, each with its own lobby. If your budget allows, I highly recommend staying at the 'Waterfall Hotel'. The rooms are all newly renovated and designed, spacious, and equipped with all modern amenities. They feature expansive floor-to-ceiling windows, offering breathtaking views of the Li River, Elephant Trunk Hill, Sun and Moon Pagodas, and the Two Rivers and Four Lakes. The rooftop also boasts an open-air bar and a lounge area, providing 360-degree panoramic views of Guilin city and the surrounding karst landscapes! The location is superb. A left turn from the hotel takes you directly to Zheng Yang Pedestrian Street, and continuing further leads to East and West Alley and Jingjiang Prince City. Cross the road from the hotel to reach Gate 3 of Elephant Trunk Hill, and a right turn will bring you to a variety of local restaurants. The boat docks for the Two Rivers and Four Lakes are also within walking distance – it couldn't be more convenient! The check-in amenity was a large welcome fruit platter and fresh flowers. During our stay, we also received coffee vouchers for the rooftop bar. Before checking out, we could claim a complimentary non-heritage souvenir, which was a very thoughtful touch. The breakfast restaurant is on the second-highest floor. The breakfast selection was quite comprehensive, but the rice noodle station was slow. When we arrived, many buffet dishes and drinks were gone and took a long time to be refilled, which wasn't as prompt as the room service. Every evening from 8:00 PM to 8:15 PM, there's a spectacular waterfall and music show behind the hotel, which was truly amazing! 🤩"

"I chose the Qiao CIAO Hotel for my short stay in Guilin, and its riverside location right by the Li River is absolutely fantastic! It's been raining lightly recently, and the infinity pool on the first floor looks incredibly inviting. The pool water seems to blend seamlessly with the outdoor mountain scenery, and a gentle breeze just makes you feel completely relaxed. I booked a twin room, and it was spacious and brand new. The lighting was warm and inviting, and there was a large bathtub – perfect for a relaxing soak after exploring the mountains and rivers, it really helped me unwind. You absolutely must try the Guilin rice noodles for breakfast. A warm bowl of it is incredibly satisfying, and you can add as many toppings as you like. There's also a good variety of fruits and pastries, so you can take your time and enjoy your meal without rushing. The ambiance, rooms, and breakfast were all excellent. This short trip was incredibly comfortable, and I'd definitely recommend considering this hotel if you're visiting Guilin!"

Getting around is super convenient, and the hotel thoughtfully provided a list of great local restaurants. The breakfast was unexpectedly lavish! There was even a towel elephant made by the staff in the room, which was absolutely adorable! 😍"

This well-established five-star hotel, located right on the Li River, offers an absolutely fantastic experience ✨ The hotel boasts an elegant environment with extensive gardens. The back gate provides direct access to the Li River, making it perfect for leisurely strolls and enjoying the scenery. We stayed in a river-view room, and the floor-to-ceiling windows offered direct views of the Li River and the karst peaks. Opening the window was like stepping into a Guilin landscape painting, with misty clouds in the morning and absolutely breathtaking views. The room was clean and tidy, and the bedding was soft and comfortable. The staff provided attentive and thoughtful service, and check-in was warm and polite. With both indoor and outdoor pools, plus a kids' club, it's absolutely ideal for a vacation with seniors and children. The location is convenient for getting around, with attractions like Elephant Trunk Hill just a short drive away.
