"We had a fantastic stay last weekend at the New Paltz Way. We hadn't spent much time in New Paltz, but the town is great with a number of good restaurants and shops a very short walk from the hotel. When you walk into the hotel, the vibe just pulls you in. You can sit in the lounge area looking out the big windows on the walking path for hours and read, enjoy coffee, and feel relaxed. The staff was friendly and eager to help, and I don't think we walked past them once without being offered a coffee made to serve or a chocolate chip cookie. The room we stayed in was beautiful, high ceilings, a beautiful bathroom, and a balcony overlooking the walking path and river through the woods. You feel like you're in the woods, but right next to the downtown. And each room has it's own record player with classic albums, we had the Blues Brothers, Bengals, and Workingman's Dead (my favorite). We also got a sneak peak at the spa, which will be opening shortly, and it looks like a self-guided experience with a sauna and cold plunge as well as a hot tub. This was one of their first weekends, and we experienced only efficient, helpful, and seamless service the entire time. We will definitely go back!"

"Beautiful grounds well maintained. First floor was lovely and we would have loved to eat breakfast there. Water tastes ok but smells awful. Window A/C units are inconsistent with the cost. Bed was lumpy. We wish that the breakfast arrangements were more flexible. A single 9:00 am seating is very limited."

"I’ve stayed at Kingston Carriage House a few times now for solo staycations, and it truly gets better every visit. My favorite rooms so far are the Captain's Loft, Parlour Suite, and Drawing Loft, each one has its own charm and thoughtful details. The complimentary breakfast basket is such a treat, with fresh coffee and pastries from a local bakery. I also love the curated record collection and record players in every room, plus the peaceful courtyard for relaxing. The location couldn’t be better! Just a short walk to the waterfront, shops, and incredible dining. It’s the perfect balance of history, comfort, and a beautiful neighborhood vibe. Kingston Carriage House feels like such a special hideaway, and I can’t wait for my next stay!"
